Review 1：I paid more than 300 euros per night for a single room, expecting the Alpenhotel to be a proper four-star hotel by international standards. I had spent the previous nights in an equivalent hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Hotel De La Poste), paying 125 euros per night. When I checked in to Alpenhotel, I immediately recognized that the hotel was not as advertised and I indicated that I would like to check out after one night. Rather than accommodating a customer who considered the hotel overpriced, the hotel came up with excuses not to provide even a partial refund for cancelled nights, blaming it on Booking.com, when, of course, the hotel received 75% of the Booking.com revenues for my booking, so at least that amount could have been refunded. I am involved in the hotel business, and this is simply bad business practice. If a customer is immediately unsatisfied, rather than keeping their money because you legally can, accommodating a customer (even one who made a non-refundable booking) is a much better course of action.
