Masseria Sant'Elia descritpion

Country House Masseria Sant'Elia sells fast on our site. Masseria Sant'Elia is a historic property, actually a former convent, set in the Itria Valley 5 minutes' drive from Martina Franca. It offers characteristic rooms with stone walls and floors.
Sant'Elia has its own chapel and features a number of Trulli, stone dwellings that are typical of the Puglia region. All rooms are air conditioned and feature a TV, minibar and beautiful view of the garden. Some have a balcony or patio.
A sweet Italian breakfast is served each morning. Drinks are available from the bar and you also have a reading room and TV lounge on the ground floor.
The Masseria's hilltop location guarantees beautiful views across the Puglia countryside. The oldest areas of the property date back to 1568, but Sant'Elia has had a long and interesting history since then.
You have free parking on site and are 20 minutes' drive from the town of Fasano and its famous zoo. The White City of Ostuni is 40 minutes' drive away, as are the nearest beaches.

Reviews for Masseria Sant'Elia

Review 1:Wifi is only available in public areas due to the thickness of the stone walls but this is only a minor inconvenience. Very difficult to find unless you use Google maps or enter strada Sant Elia into the GPS.

Review 2:Our room was excellent - large and comfortable. We were very well looked after by Mariantonio and 'The Boss'. I would recommend having dinner there at least once - good home-made food and service. Swimming pool was greatly appreciated on arrival.

Review 3:Our stay at the Masseria Sant'Elia was one of the highlights of our trip. We wanted to see a Trullo but being able to actually stay in one was a real treat. Although the location is a little out of the way, it was well worth the drive. Would definitely recommend it.

Review 4:Nothing !

Review 5:Absolutely wonderful few days with friends. Location, accommodation , food and staff - everything perfect. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so did the dogs!!

Review 6:thenice and authentic renovation kept the charm of the old conventt, a stunning view of the itria valley' shaded by old olives. a perfect place to relax. friendly staff. nice home cooked food authentic, fresh. we liked it so much so prolonged our stay.

Review 7:Breathtaking athmosphere and very kind reception. Breakfast was excellent. Although they could not speak English tried everything to service and make our stay most comfortable.

Review 8:The position was a little too isolated for us, it really needed nicer weather to make the most of the setting

Review 9:Warm welcome, beautiful setting, good heating system was very welcome as weather was so cold. Food was good although as Easter restaurant was not fully open

Review 10:I wish there was wifi in the rooms, but otherwise all was great.

Review 11:If you are European, you will probably find the bed to be comfortable. It's a little hard for American tastes. The room was spacious and very clean with all the amenities that you could want. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Review 12:Interesting location for a stop over. Even though the restaurant was closed our host cooked us up a feast in the evening and it was probably the best food we had on our whole 2 week trip!

Review 13:Like many older Masseria, it need summer sun and higher occupancy to make it enjoyable. An empty diningroom and overpriced stale room did not impress.

Review 14:This is a very charming Masseria, in a hill top position, in a central location for the Trulli sites.

Review 15:A pool would be great.we took a while finding it,with a GPS

Review 16:Lovely room, fabulous bathroom, gorgeous environment amongst the olive trees and fig trees with fruit bursting off the trees.service warm and welcoming, excellent food. Short drive to local sights,Alburobello etc. Would love to go back.

Review 17:Restaurant closed on 2 of our 3 nights stay, nearest alternative a drive away.

Review 18:Lovely countryside

Review 19:Everything was wonderful

Review 20:Breakfast, people, space in the room

Review 21:You do need to VERY carefully follow the signs, or, better yet, use GPS to find this inn.

Review 22:The restoration of this historical property was truly a labor of love and it shows. You really get the feeling of the old convent complex, complete with trullis. The views, gardens and food further highlight this inn. The owner is to be congratulated, and there is more to come, with a pool to be put in.

Review 23:No wi-fi.

Review 24:Marvellous stay, particularly thanks to the charming owner and her cooking of regional specialities. The old buildings, an ex-convent and trulli, are beautiful and the surrounding olive groves create a very peaceful environment.

Review 25:It was the most authentic Italian experience. The locals were there celebrating the first wine pressing of the season. The owner/chef and her nephew treated us like family. The food was amazing! We used an app called citymaps2go to help us find it..

Review 26:Not easy to find (even with a GPS). But it is worth the search !

Review 27:Very charming masseria lost in the middle of the trulli countryside. Very quiet, simple but lovely. Staff was more than welcoming. She prepared tasty local specialties just for the 2 of us. Loved it. To be recommended.

Review 28:Not a thing!

Review 29:The ambiance and history of the facility. 3 miles from Martina Franca, alovely town with great restaurants, Alberobello, for seeing the Trulli.

Review 30:Was hard to find and Wi Fi was restricted to one person at a time (apparantly they had problems with Telecom) Bit out of the way-need a car.

Review 31:Lovely character filled buildings and very good food and great staff. Be great for a small wedding as has small chapel on site.

Review 32:The room was very small and it was the first hotel that no soap was provided in the bathroom. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned for some time and this should been completed thoroughly before we arrived. Reception area was messy and although it was early in the year, it should be "ready for business" at all times!

Review 33:the restaurant was excellent, all the dishes very fresh and a lovely atmosphere, despite being the only guests initially.

Review 34:Unique accommodation in the Trulli by the monastery

Review 35:difficult to find from instructions

Review 36:Service, friendliness and excellent food
