Reviews for Agriturismo Marrucola

Review 1:Breakfast tea - need boiling water and cold milk! Lack of choice for evening meal.

Review 2:Quiet location, relaxed checkout, quiet and cool rooms, friendly staff.

Review 3:breakfast pretty average, low-quality packaged juices and coffee, service a little patchy - nothing too bad though!

Review 4:reasonably convenient (if you have a car) and beautiful location in the hills near San Miniato; apartments basic but completely adequate; family business run in a pleasantly relaxed manner; also option of dinner which was good; nice pool. Would return or recommend. Many good places to eat in San Miniato Basso.

Review 5:Other than the view the place was a waste of money. The room was big butnot so clean, shower door was broken, was not cleaned during our stay, which is no surprise because no one was there at any point. We arrivedand spent a few minuets trying to find someone from the staff to give usa key. There was no one to talk to during the day. If breakfast isimportant to you, don't count on it.. Some cookies, sometimes bread, and a mouse in the dining room. We had the whole place to ourselves withno other guests, and it seemed like the forgot we were there.

Review 6:The view was amazing, pool area very nice, room was big.

Review 7:Travelling alone, I arrived late after a very hard day's cycling in the rain, having made a late Internet booking that same evening. Although the hotel was actually closed that day to new guests, everyone was very helpful, sorting out a room very quickly; very friendly, helping me with my Italian; made me something to eat accommodating my vegan/vegetarian requests. Lovely peaceful night's sleep in a beautiful surrounding - very very hilly. Very close to San Miniato which is a very pretty old town. Relaxed, plentiful breakfast. They were very happy for me to stay and use the WiFi after checking out. The whole family were so friendly, invited me to join them for a very tasty lunch and gave me lots of good advice on where to travel to next. Lovely people and delicious wine produced at the farm.

Review 8:Staff never available even during reception hours. Rooms were not clean or cleaned during our stay. Shower door off the hinges with mold in the shower. Breakfast on basis of first come, never topped up. Not as advertised. Pool area not cleaned, bins not emptied. We fished out dead mouse from pool.

Review 9:Close to Vinci, San Miniato, Pisa, Lucca & Firenze. Nice pool & adequate rooms. Pool area pleasant.

Review 10:Staff were never available at advertised times. No one received us on arrival except cleaning help who didn't speak English or show us around & give us a/c remote. Wevopened the sky light with the pole we found in the bedroom for some air & got rained on in the night during the thunderstorm. First room we received was very musty having not been aired & looked out onto a brick wall. We refused this room given another overlooking the pool. Our shower door was off its hinges & had mold. Rooms were not very clean & were never cleaned the whole duration of our stay. Pool area was pleasant with lovely view but again neglected being maintained. We removed a dead mouse from the pool & bins around the rooms were not emptied. Neither the owner or his staff (once his daughter & once a young girl) were available during all the advertised reception times. When we tried to check out - no one was there. The office was open but no one on the premises. We had to check out the night before because we were going to leave early the next day. Breakfast was sparse & on the basis of the early bird gets the worm. It was never topped up. Only once there was fruit & twice cheese (we were there for 4 days).

Review 11:Accomodation good size. Lovely location close to San Miniato, Lucca, Pisa, Siena & Firenze. Lovely view from pool & some of the rooms

Review 12:The service from the owner's daughter was excellent! The location also good (a short walk from the centre of San Miniato). The wine! :-)
