Reviews for Bed and Breakfast Da Claudio
Review 1:Claudio's son, Giuseppe, couldn't have done more to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The view from our room was breathtaking. Set in beautiful terraced gardens with direct access to the sea.
Review 2:We are a Kiwi couple who enjoy getting away from the crowds of tourists, simple and peaceful accommodation and experiencing food from the region. Da Claudio's met our expectations and more. With stunning views of the Mediterranean from our balcony, the opportunity to swim at the bottom of the steps of the property and wonderful, simple genuine Italian dinners each evening cooked by Claudio and Ana's two sons, we had the most perfect holiday. Situated 5kms from Amalfi and on the main bus route, this was ideal accommodation from which to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast. And last but not least, Claudio and Ana were welcoming, friendly and hospitable.
Review 3:It's a mosquito paradise! Bring mosquito spray!!
Review 4:Nice, clean room with great view! Host and his family are super nice and welcoming! The restaurant serves homemade, fresh Italian food!
Review 5:unless you have your own transport, you need to rely on the bus which comes infrequently, or expensive taxis to go to other towns
Review 6:Great balcony and sunbaking area on the cliff below the rooms
Review 7:We loved the view from the balcony of our room. We had access to the sea, and the pastries in the morning are wonderful. To top it all, the service was wonderful. The best place we stayed in Italy, and at a great price.
Review 8:Tiny shower and bathroom. Fast moving traffic when having dinner at the restaurant.
Review 9:Great local food at their family run restaurant "Euroconca Bar". Welcoming hosts even with limited English. Great views and good base for hiking the paths and trails. Bus stop just minutes from the property.
Review 10:Soundproofing of the room. But for the price, you'd expect to hear a bit of a chatter from the next room.
Review 11:Claudio was a character and his 2 sons were amazing hosts! They were very helpful, making sure we're comfortable and even arranged for a motorbike when we asked where we can find one. The location is right in between Positano and Amalfi town areas. The room was simple but clean, with a good sized terrace. The view of the water from the terrace was fantastic! There was free parking and good wifi connection at the bar. Great value for money, great location, great people - we'd definitely go back!
Review 12:There was a problem with the smell from the sewers in the room, but not really that bad.
Review 13:Great place to stay at, the owner is very friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular.
Review 14:Like most hotels built into the sheer cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, Da Claudio had a lot of stairs. This wasn't a problem for us (helps work up an appetite for the delicious food!), but could effect some travelers.
Review 15:Beautiful seaside location, with balconies facing the water; lounge chairs on terraces cut into the rock beside the swimming area; Nice restaurant run by Claudio's two sons, which was offering a 15-euro dinner menu when we visited; accessible by bus - just as to be let off at the Q-8 Gas station right before Conca dei Marini.
Review 16:The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, the bathroom could use updating, and the stairs could be a challenge for some (although this is to be expected in all of Amalfi).
Review 17:Claudio and his family are so nice and accommodating. The view is outstanding, and it's so relaxing to sit on the balcony overlooking the water.
Review 18:The rooms. They are quite basic and let the hotel down a little. The hotel is quite isolated due to it's stunning location so you really need a car to get out and about.
Review 19:The family are fantastic and you are made to feel very welcome. The location is absolutely stunning. The food is good quality and very good value.
