Review 1：The rooms curtain meant that morning light wakes you up very early and you have no chance of a sleep in. Room was so cramped there was no space for the suitcase that didn't risk someone tripping over it but at least the tv could be changed to view English shows.
Review 2：Please increase the electric plug quality in the rooms. Breakfast could be bit more varied (for non Italian guests).

Review 4：The room we had on the first floor facing the square is noisy. The transparent curtain in the room makes it difficult to sleep as the street light shines directly into the room.

Review 8：As I have never been to this hotel,I am not able to comment on their hotel.I fell ill the night before our booked arrival and had to return home.Our friends, 2 couples, went there.It was mid- October, no high-season, but they anyway charged the full amount of the hotel room.Of course it was their right, or policy as they call it, to do so.But what about customer service?Maybe they think, you will never return to Mantova.I will never book there again and warmly recommend Hotel Ca D' Erbe.We stayed there,in summer, excellent and flexibel customer service.

Review 11：Room was large but plain white and with cheap flat-pack furniture. Staff were uninterested and unhelpful. I could not get them to put the heating on. One day they forgot to clean the room. With some investment in redecoration and proper management this could be a very good hotel but at present it is rather depressing.

Review 21：Reception 5 star in what is obviously a more modest hotel. Position is unbeatable. Even though sitting on the historic central piazza it is still quiet enough. Great to have had parking in the street at an insignificant resident's fee organised by the hotel.
Review 22：The restaurant attached to the hotel and with the same name was terrible. I have rarely eaten badly in Italy but our meals were terrible, the service totally confursed with some ordered food not arriving at all ( mains at that ) and no real apology. Breakfast in the same restaurant was good. no complaints about that.

Review 24：The Hotel Gonzaga was in the very center of town with many rooms facing the central Plaza. The rooms were newly renovated and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was more than adequate!

Review 27：The newly renovated rooms in an old building are very well lit. The quality of water is excellent, the beds and shower are of high quality. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Though the room and ensuite bathroom were clean, the common bathroom in/below the lobby was in dire need of repair.

Review 44：We had reserved parking and received direction related e-mail from hotel but when we arrived no parking available at hotel - Receptionist tried to direct us to parking much further away in an extremely busy city which we refused. Only then did she say that for €2.60 you can get a permit note which allows parking in restricted areas for hotel guests for 24 hours. So, off we went to try to find a space which we did but it wasnt easy - she also didnt suggest that we bring our luggage in before we set off so we had to carry it a considerable distance back. She didnt even look up when we arrived back or offer us some water - which we later spotted was available in the lobby. It was a boiling hot day and I felt unwell by the time I got to the room. I had assumed that my correspondence with the hotel had guaranteed a parking space and that was why we had booked that hotel. On the other hand the 2.60 permit change was probably a lot less than the hotel would have charged for parking. Check out is 10 a.m which is very early.
Review 45：Location is amazing - right in the centre between the 2 main squares. We were there on a Sunday and the streets were jammed as there was a literature festival on and would like to see the city when it was easier to move around. Room had view over a square which was very pleasant. Had lunch at their restaurant and it was excellent and is located on the square. Good breakfast and sat outside for a while after breakfast to enjoy the view.
Review 46：I was unaware that there was a major car rally starting around the time of my visit so I think the room I was given was one that is only used when the hotel is heavily booked. My room was in a residence slightly apart from the hotel, which made it a little less convenient, but it was stlii well situated. Perhaps I would have rated one of the regular hotel rooms higher for cleanliness and comfort.
