Review 1：We were told there was parking but our car was too large for the car park so we had to park on the side street.This was no problem to us but this could cause disappointment.

Review 3：We were drawn to this hotel mainly because of its 8.6 rating. However, despite having a good stay 8.6 is really overrated. Rooms were small, breakfast was mediocre and the entire hotel lacks atmosphere. Except for the language spoken no indication to be found for its location in Italy.

Review 14：Our sixth time at San Marco, wouldn't go anywhere else in Lucca! Perfect location just 5 minutes bike ride to City walls but hotel is oasis of tranquility with beautiful terrace area and pool. What also makes it is the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Just love it!

Review 16：We stayed for 7 nights in July when the weather was hot (37 degrees!) The main areas and bedroom are all air-conditioned which was great and made a huge difference, as did the swimming pool. Although the rooms are not huge they are adequate, nice bathrooms. All the staff were fantastic, friendly and could not have been more helpful, giving advice and arranging things for us.The beds are the most comfortable I have experienced in any hotel. The location is fantastic with just a ten minute walk into the centre of Lucca. Bikes were available for a reasonable cost. We will definitely visit here again!! and thank you to Alexandro and Franchesco who couldn't do enough for us.

Review 17：The staff were fantastic! Helpful, resourceful & cheery. Nothing was too much trouble. Location - outside the city walls but you are in the heart of the city in 10 mins casual walking. Breakfast was excellent & plentiful. Bar open late :-)

Review 21：A modern boutique style hotel with a swimming pool, which is very welcome after a hot day sightseeing! You can walk to the centre of Lucca from the hotel and there are many restaurants and and bars to choose from.

Review 25：I found the beds to be on the soft side which meant that even with the pillows removed I ended up with some twinges in my neck but that is a personal preferance. Breakfast was standard but the staff would do eggs on request but there were no signs to suggest this and I only found it out on the last day.

Review 26：Good location just to the North of Lucca within easy walking distance. The gate from where you enter the city takes you onto the main shopping road where there are also plenty of restaurants. The on site pool is very pleasant but unheated so more comfortable in the afternoon.

Cleaners were making a lot of noise in the corridor at 8.30/9am which despite having early morning it's not nice when you pay for an hotel you would like to relax... not listen people chatting laud when you are in bed.

Review 44：Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The whole experience was extremely special and unlike the normal corporate feel of most hotels. The hotel is well situated just 5 minutes walk from the walls of the old city of Lucca and they have an excellent terrace and swimming pool area.

Review 45：The bathroom was not clean and than I express it very civilized. The tap points, from the sink, shower and bibet, showed a thick layer of mould. We cleaned it by our self. Fare enough; a complaint was replayed with an excuse.
