Review 1：There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke in our double room on checking in, despite a smoke detector and signs for 'No Smoking'. Obviously the previous guest had been a sneaky smoker! The staff were very accommodating and made the room smell fresh for us as soon as I brought the problem to their attention.

Review 2：The hotel was very pleasant, welcoming and the staff went out of their way to help all the members of our party of nine, including two young children and an 84 year old grandmother. A particular thank you to 'Tonino' and the manager - First class. Also the younger staff, a Brazilian lady and her Italian colleague, who's name we do not know. Would definitely stay again.

Review 3：The staff was always available and helpful with suggestions of local highlights. The menu had local wine plus well prepared specialties of Chiavenna. All waiters, especially Tony, made dining something to look forward to.

Review 4：The taste of the chosen very cold and sad furniture design . It is beyond simplicity and standard . It is just ugly tasteless colourless warm less. Wouldn't stay for a holiday journey.

Review 8：A big shout out to Marco, who was really accommodating, with the loan of the umbrella and the great complimentary breakfast that he personally delivered to us each morning in a very nice dining room. I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a killer view of the Alps and the charming town.

Review 9：With a bit of effort, many things could be improved and make this a really good hotel: Breakfast could be fresher, the rooms could be decorated with a bit more of fantasy, the welcome could be a bit warmer...

Review 10：Very correct in every respect, but the hotel misses some caracter. Ok for one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer holiday. Parking for bikes available at no cost in the garage.

Review 11：Generally the cleaning in the room is ok. But if you look a little bit higer then 1 meter from floor, you can see dust on shelf etc. Last year when we eas in the same room, it was the same. Now we had written "2014" in the dust, and then let us see, if it still we be there in 2015 :-). The wastebox in toilet was not empty, when we arrived to the room. So there was...... from the past guest........ Everything else was clean. Towles, blanket etc. - no problem with this.

Review 12：Our room with a balcony with view over a part of the city and the mountains. Easy acces and secure parking in garage. nice and cosy little village with good local italian restaurant. The owner and a yonung man in reception, is polite and good speaking english.

Review 25：Air conditioning, private parking, above-average breakfast (factoring in that it is Italy), great view from the window. Nothing fancy, but fits the purpose and has everything one would need + English speaking staff.

Review 26：Family room ( 4 beds) was spacious and clean, with a small balcony. Room would be suitable for physically disabled as well. Good bathroom with a radiator to dry our skiing clothes. Free wifi for several equipment. Good location: at the entrance of old town, and about 30 min drive up to Madesimo skiing resort. Free parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was fine. Did not try the hotel restaurant. Will definitely consider this hotel for the next Madesimo-trip.

Review 28：The hotel is a short walk from the train station and well located at the foot of the pedestrian zone. Rooms are good size, spotless and well appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel if one is in the area.

Review 31：Dust on kabinet in room. Breakfast is typical for a lot of hotels in Italy. Poor selection and not the best quality.

Review 32：Friendly owner in the recpetion. Good speaking english. The room for 4 persons is ok size. Our room had a balcony faced to the road and to the mountain. Maybe some people would found it noisy. But in the morning, we found it interesting, from the balcony, to watch the local life going on, and have the view to the mountain in the background. Monday evening the restaurant on the hotel is closed. But 25 meters from hotel, there is a very good restaurant with pasta, pizza etc.
