Reviews for Hotel Crimea

Review 1:Rooms are a bit old fashioned and simple, but all in all fair for the price.

Review 2:Lovely location, just in the street of 'Crotti' (typical restaurants of Val Chiavenna) and very close to the ice stadium. Comfortable rooms, free wifi, very clean and nice abundant breakfast.

Review 3:The big street party that kept us awake all one Saturday night, but it wasn't the fault of the hotel.

Review 4:This little hotel was a great value for the money. Chiavenna is also a lovely little village in a beautiful area, close to many things including Lake Como, St Moritz, etc. The nearby restaurant Rebelot is superb.

Review 5:We liked a lot of things: The location, the building, the fact there was a great restaurant close by and so on.

Review 6:Windows were left open to let the heat come in.

Review 7:Breakfast buffet was large but basic.

Review 8:A wonderfully inviting hotel with great views from the balcony. Chiavenna is a great place to visit.

Review 9:Arrived to find a beetle in the bath, collapsing floorboards outside room door and a lift to avoid.

Review 10:Good location and nice food in the restaurant

Review 11:Had to request a change of room due to bath only, and located in loft.

Review 12:General location for wandering around the old town, and good value for money.

Review 14:nothing

Review 15:Very friendly staff! Strongly recommend :)

Review 16:not English-speaking staff poor сhoice of breakfast bad value for money

Review 17:Public spaces were shaby, furniture was dirty. Restaurant on first floorwas old fashioned without any atmosphere. Our bedroom on 5th floor wasbig and well appointed however walls were so thin we could here everyword of a disagreement between a couple next door at midnight. Wasamazed next morning to see the husband wheel a bicycle out of thebedroom! Breakfast was awful, coffee a disgrace, orange juice not freshwhich didn't encourage trying the gourmet restaurant!!! Sorry Crimeayou need to improve on the basics if you want to compete as a traveldestination.

Review 18:Staff were very pleasant.

Review 19:Chiavenna is a beautiful mountain village with all amenities. Thevillage reeks of Pre-Roman, Roman and Italian History but is verycontemporary with many shops and restaurants. The Hotel Crimea was very quite whilst we stayed there, being out of snow season and before the summer, so there was plenty of staff to assist. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. Sitting outside the hotel drinking local wines with very tasty local snacks provided free by the hotel was fantastic.

Review 20:Good sized top floor room with views. Nice breakfast. Has own bar/restaurant but many others nearby. Doing the Spluga pass to get there.

Review 21:no aircon room was a bit basic

Review 22:Great view from room Parking for motorcycle directly in front of hotel

Review 23:traffic noise + room rate was expensive for standard of hotel

Review 24:room with view of mountain
