Review 1：The beds are very uncomfortable and the rooms need doing up. Not at all sure how it got its Relais and Chateau rating. Food average.

Review 2：The staff are charming but untrained.

Review 3：The location is in the middle of nowhere, and you can only get by with car or taxi. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. The restaurant is closed for 5 hrs and you can only get toast during the day, and that is by the pool, where the service is very slow.

Review 4：Beautiful place in an amazing setting with a great swimming pool. The room was great but it wasn't really a junior suite as we had booked, we saw a junior suite as one was being cleaned and it was much bigger. Food is good in the restaurant and the restaurant manager is lovely and very knowledgeable about wines.

Review 5：They double the grounds up for receptions, eg weddings and other celebrations. You can't use the facilities when this happens. Also they say they are giving you a deluxe room but when you get there it was normal room and they asked for more money for a deluxe room,. sharp practice.

Review 7：They organise wedding and anniversary parties so we think it can get noisy sometimes because of that. However nothing bothered us while we were there (3 nights) though there was a birthday party in one of the multiple privatisable spaces for parties.

Review 8：Excellent place, which I highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place where you can relax and enjoy a beautiful pool, excellent food and wines and very kind staff. Special thanks to the waiter at the breakfast and the lunch who was extremely kind and who also knows a lot about the good products of his region, including wines. I must add that the food was superb, and looking at previous comment, it is obvious they have changed chefs... because now it was absolutely delicious, refined and beautifully presented. As you can read I am very enthusiastic about this hotel!

Review 9：A total gem of a hotel. Immaculate grounds, beautifully presented, fabulous spa. The photos do not do the place justice! I only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

Review 11：This is a small boutique hotel with beautiful surroundings. It is peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant is outstanding. Unbelievable value for money (perhaps the cheapest 5 star hotel in the world)

Review 12：No really bad experience: if anything I personally found the bed rather firm but my wife thought it was perfect! Apparently this is a feature of the beds of the region and in any case I got accustomed to it pretty quickly.

Review 13：The cleanliness and fine attention to detail everywhere from the magnificent swimming pool to the well-appointed dining room. Staff extremely affable, courteous and helpful. Excellent selection of wines particularly local ones of surprising quality. Wonderful gardens tastefully lit at night.

Review 16：Couldn't find the hotel as the name was under Villa San Martino, and needed to ask where it was, Sat Nav took us to town centre, very pricey "extras like Spa and hotel cost more than the hotel stay!

Review 17：They loved having my Jack Russell dog around, even in the restaurant and told us to let her have a run in the grounds which she loved, the staff were fantastic and Guiseppe told us about his 13 dogs that hunt for Black Truffel's, and then he gave me a whole Truffel to try. The spa was not open as we were the only guest, but opened the spa for for us. Food was special but we just wanted a dish of pasta and veg soup and the chef prepared it for us, the rooms were cleaned daily and it was a very relaxing stay.

Review 18：Internet did not work in our room (in the annex) nor in the breakfast room. This is, in my view, a no go for a 5* establishment.

Review 19：The location is ideal to visit nearby villages and attractions; the hotel is located in a nice garden, away from the road. Rooms are in the main building or in the annex. The food and service in the restaurant were very good.

Review 36：Slightly run-down feel of the place - our spa tub didn't work, and some burnt-out lightbulbs hadn't been replaced in the bathroom. The quality of the food and breakfast was fine, but not worthy of a 5 star "luxury" hotel. Also the fact that we booked a Junior Suite through Booking.com but they didn't have any left, so gave us a normal room (at a discount), although this may not be the fault of the hotel.

Review 37：The beautiful romantic location, with stunning gardens and pool. The sumptuous décor, and the friendly, efficient staff. Claudio at reception was very helpful.

Restaurant was closed between 2pm-7pm, sorry not good enough, considering its high season and it is a hotel they should cater for tourists. The pool needs a good clean, it has mildew growing in the pool!

Review 41：Staff were excellent. The deluxe rooms were as described but a kettle/coffee/tea should be standard in every room especially since this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Television channels were only news channels, who wants to listen to news when they're on holiday?

Review 47：Some services (breakfast, swimming pool) are not according to the standards that can be expected. Breakfast buffet is provided in very small portions. The most evident items (juice, bread, cheese, ...) are quickly unavailable. The only waiter is occupied in serving tables and making coffee and can not assure that the buffet is regularly filled.

Review 50：Very nice hotel, well located for visiting most of Puglia, towns near by (Alberobello, Ostuni, Ceglie Mesapica) and the sea on both sides of the peninsula. Friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant with a decent selection of wines. Located near Martina Franca, only few km from the center of town, while still in a quite surrounding. Perfect location for summer time, as it is located in a hilly area and therefore the climate is comfortable in the evening, especially if compared to lower sea side places

Review 51：I had a terrible night. Next to my room, in the garden there was partywith very loud music and dj speaking loud in microphone very late inthe night. I called reception to tell them to put the music down, butit was not down enough for me to sleep and the microphone was stillloud. I was told not to worry, but the party lasted for at least onemore hour certainly until 2 am. This in not acceptable at all for ahotel of this reputation... I choose it, for its quiet surrondings,garden, etc... and was not able to sleep !!!! I would not recommendthis place for people wishing to relax. If you want party and Club Medatmosphere, well go ahead.
