Reviews for Hotel Alexander Museum Palace

Review 1:perfect hotel, quiet atmosphere, nice view at the sea, breakfast is super (fresh fruit ...), swimming pool near the sea, the staff is friendly .... I've been here 3 times and will come back. Pesaro is a nice small city, you can also visit Urbino, Ancona, Rimini, walk along the sea ...

Review 2:The position was a little remote away from most of the action. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, with all facilities closed and no catering options.

Review 3:The staff made the experience

Review 4:No parking in Pesaro and very limited parking provided by hotel which really only catered for very small cars. Bathroom in need of redecoration for damp problem.

Review 5:Lovely beach side hotel with good facilities and nice outdoor pool. Friendly helpful staff.

Review 6:Wifi connection is slow and you need to enter your password every time you want to use the Internet. Everything else is perfect!

Review 7:-great location -awesome seaside view -interesting design -great breakfasts -friendly staff -nice beach

Review 8:The rooms a little bit small for a double. The WIFI was a bit hit a miss. Varied from room to room.

Review 9:The position of the hotel- at the end of the strip- so not too noisy but still accessible to all. A good breakfast. On the beach (private- to pay to have a bed- but you can still access the beach to swim from the pool area easily). Helpful reception staff.

Review 10:Art environment

Review 11:i stay there often always welcoming staff at hand very close to the beach and a 10 mins walk to the town centre

Review 12:noise of the toilet from the neighbours

Review 13:location, the staff, the breakfast, rent a bike

Review 14:excellent breakfast swimming pool near the sea the atmosphere rooms with paintings

Review 15:The Staff

Review 16:Actually Sergio (front desk), was really very nice and smart, but her colleagues (a woman) was quite unpolite and not so kind as Sergio. Additionally we couldn't sleep a lot in the morning since the rooms are not soundproof. This is a very bad thing for a 4 stars hotel!

Review 17:I've appreciated the interior design of this hotel, the fantastic sea view and the breakfast

Review 18:Clean and welcoming with a good view of the beach from each room. We especially loved the breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit for me, plus the usual continental fare for the locals with a sweet tooth for breakfast. it's nice to stay in a hotel with is also loved by the italian beach lovers.

Review 19:Wi fi was spotty

Review 20:The location was removed from the main street and town but it was super for views and beach walks. The street and walkways were fantastic and busy with people. The hotel was very clean our room had a nice balcony with a beach view(304). The maids kept our room very clean. The staff was very professional especially the front counter worker. The breakfast was very good lots of choices. We also had a dinner at the hotel which was very tasty. We would come back to this hotel and certainly would recommend it.

Review 21:Room was lovely decorated With roman statues and apparently each room has different themes . We felt very welcome, the staff was excellent . we certenatly come back to your hotel . Thank you see you soon Giorgia & Ste January 2014

Review 22:I liked the decor, the different statuettes to look at. I especially liked the availability of the underground private car park, and the helpful, friendly staff. Would 100% stay here again.

Review 23:Quality of especially the hotelroom is too pover for what you aspect to be a (well) designed hotel... Much to much 'art'. Most of it terrible ugly, even scarry. Pesaro/Adriatic coast is enormous crowdy....

Review 24:Very kind people Nice breakfast You can rent a (not a very good) bike

Review 25:Our room and especially the bathroom was a bit dated (but clean). The hotel location is quite far away from the towncenter of Pesaro.

Review 26:Friendly staff, good breakfast and great swimmingpool.

Review 27:Very limited & expensive menu. No imagination by the Chef who offers two menus: one for Fish, one for Meat with no option to mix. And why the waiters were dressed in white overalls as though they'd been re-painting the building is a mystery.

Review 28:Very friendly & informative receptionist. Good access from the hotel garage to all floors of the hotel. Superb view of the Adriatic Coast

Review 29:The bad weather which is not the Hotel's fault at all ! haha

Review 30:Beautiful hotel, very artsy... The staff was wonderful and can't go wrong with a beachfront hotel!

Review 31:It has some spots that could be taken care, such as the lobby lounge furniture, the door frames, etc,

Review 32:1. On the beach..... 2. Friendly staff 3. Unusually good breakfast for Italian hotel (not only sweets as usual ..... ) 4. THE HIGHLIGHT: This is practically not a hotel, but an art gallery, presenting all kinds of arts (painting, sculpture, etc.). Each room is decorated by a real artist, who has practically embedded some of his works in the room... ....Really pleasantly unusual!....

Review 33:We had a delightful stay at the Hotel Alexander Museum Palace. This hotel is a rare treat. Each room has been designed by a different artist and is in itself a work of art! Some are whimsical, some serious, some soothing and some are intense. All are intriguing and inspiring. The dining room and "lounging area" is surrounded by glass with a wrap- around view of the ocean. Beautiful!

Review 34:All the art! It's a wonder we didn't had nightmares. It's just too much, and too ugly. We were in the 'graphity' room and it was done very slunzy. Themes were also frightning.

Review 35:Meals were good. Variated breakfast.

Review 36:Breakfast was from 7am however when we arrived at 7 the breakfast wasntready yet. Private parking is very expensive however required with theamount of luggage we had because public parking was always full.

Review 37:Great view, spacious room, nice bathroom with jaccuzi

Review 38:Parking places are restricted in the hotel and also in the arroundings. No free internet facilities. I just didnt fell comfortable with toreception staff.

Review 39:The hotel design inspiration is quite interesting.

Review 40:the swimming pool can't be really used

Review 41:the amazing offer of gluten free products the feel of the hotel the design in the rooms the bathroom: excellent shower !!

Review 42:We didn't like manager in the restaurant. He's very rude and snooty.

Review 43:The room was big and clean, the hotel's quite near to the sea. Irecommend to ask rooms on the 1st floor. Generally, we were pleased withour stay in this hotel.

Review 44:It wasn't as luxurious as many 4* hotels, but its originality more thancompensated.

Review 45:A very enjoyable 10 day break. It's so different from the normal hotelwith its fascinating art work, original doors and rooms. The staff wereall very friendly, the food very good and we would definitely choose togo there again should we return to Pesaro. Do not wear white trousersand tops...you could get mistaken for one of the staff, whoall..reception staff, waiters, cleaners, handymen... Wear whitedungarees and tops!

Review 46:The low mark we gave for comfort is due to the extensive decoration of the rooms by contemporary artists. Two points need to be made. First, assuming the artists were well paid, there was apparently a need to skimp on the quality of finishes and furnishings which is therefore generally quite low. Second, in the past artists and the public for which their production was intended shared more or less similar values. That included certain conventions of good manners, a bedroom would not be decorated in the same fashion as a state room, studiolo or an anti-chambre etc. This is not the situation today: artistic productions vary in the extreme, and so do tastes of the public. One may dislike a small picture hung in a hotel room, but the impact is not overbearing. The works of art in Hotel Alexander occupy large spaces and their impact cannot be ignored. If by chance a work is liked that is fine, but if not, or worse, if found disturbing, it becomes an unwelcome imposition. Which it was in our case. Maybe we should have guessed from the description on booking.com (

Review 47:The noise - from outside and inside the hotel - could have done with more sound proofing. Difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Review 48:It was excellent value for money, had a unique style and excellent food. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 49:Quite distant location from the city center (C.A. 10-15 min walk).

Review 50:Straight on the beach, great views, interesting design, reallycomfortable place, breakfasts were superb.

Review 51:I truly do not have any thing negative to say about my stay at Alexandre Museum Palace.

Review 52:Its uniqueness and design of the building as a holiday hotel. Somebody is a great patron of Italian art and design. An unusual venue, but an appropriate one to exhibit works of modern Italian artists, it would be fascinating to know how many of the clientele really appreciated this unique hotel. Loved the bedrooms themes - wacky. Loved the Jazz music that was quietly playing in the public areas of the hotel. all of your staff, and particularly the Reception staff made sure that my stay was not only a welcome one, but that I should be as happy and comfortable as they could make it. Thank you.

Review 53:Parking in the hotel's parking basement requires a high level ofmanoeuvring skills and a deep wallet.

Review 54:Very special hotel - my son remarked immediately that it was like livingin an Art Gallery - in a positive way. Excellent buffet breakfast withenormous selection. The restaurant/lounge is quite beautiful with afantastic view, and a great pool outside. Right on the beach, with verysafe bathing. Would go back again without hesitation.

Review 55:I don't like the regimented beach/umbrella system but that is not just about this hotel. If you pay a fair price for a seaside hotel I would expect the beach part to be included.

Review 56:Excellent staff - worked brilliantly as a team. the food and service was outstanding.

Review 57:We were given a room which we didn't like and were given another one opposite but it was noisy and on the beach level which was difficult as the main window was next to the bed if we were advised of this (obviously they knew about it) and offered one on a higher level I would have enjoyed the stay a lot more and felt like I hadn't just been shoved into the worst room first.

Review 58:The rooms were bright and large the food was good (very little choice though) the wine was included but was just drinkable the staff were good Breakfast was included and a wide choice.

Review 59:The hotel designed for business travelers only preferably in groups. Holiday makers will miss sufficient breakfast after 09.00 (no refill of food for breakfast), care of the staff, beds at the pool, direct acces to the beach. Noise from the business parties downstairs until 02.00 am will keep you awake. Poor interior of the restaurant. Poor quality of funiture in rooms and soundproofing. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel.

Review 60:the location is good with beatifull seaview.

Review 61:The internet service, the use of the bikes is free in almoust al the hotels in Pesaro, paying 5 euros seemed unfair to me.

Review 62:I like the design, the breakfast buffet, the cleaning in the room, the view from the room.

Review 63:The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms are fantastic, each one designed and decorated by an artist. Great location on the beachfront. The whole hotel is inspired by art with pieces everywhere. A really good hotel thoroughly recommended.

Review 64:The lighting in the room was poor and it was difficult to read. Therooms are a bit eclectic, although they were advertised as such. Wehad a room facing the road and the noise from traffic and thefrequently passing trains was a bit annoying. It is about a twentyminute walk to town.

Review 65:The room was clean and the staff reasonably helpful. The hotel islocated right on the beach.

Review 66:Interent was very slow.

Review 67:Location. Uniqueness of rooms. Balcony. Morning included breakfast.

Review 68:Clean, friendly and very helpful.
