Reviews for Villa Sonnino

Review 1:Extremly hard beds and pillows. Nothing to do in the neighbourhood except going to the Tower in San Miniato to have a look at the nice landscape.

Review 2:Very nice Place, nice surroundings. They welcome you with a bottle of their own sparkling wine in the room. Nice staff, but unfortunately hard to communicate as they're not that good in English. Nice breakfast buffet. Good food. Excellent risotto. If you want to stay outside Firenze and have a car it's very nice. But it's hard to take a car into Firenze. Don't know if the hotel can arrange to pick you up at the station.

Review 3:Could use menu also in English as waitress could not explain the choices.

Review 4:Staff was excellent. Food was wonderful. Everything was better than expected.

Review 5:The driveway is a bit rocky and full of potholes which made it a bit difficult but not a big deal.

Review 6:Very friendly staff, super clean and spacious, and the breakfast was amazing. Wish we had stayed more than one day! Also the dinner at the restaurant was really great.

Review 7:The villa was a bit difficult to locate. It was worth the slight extra effort.

Review 8:Our rooms were comfortable and clean and dinner/service were excellent! We highly recommend this beautiful residence.

Review 9:Public transport from the nearest station is not possible, so travellingwithout a car required a taxi, which added 30 Euros to what was a veryreasonably priced night. Mosquitos were everywhere outside, but thisvery damp year may be behind that. Staff did try to spray somedeterrent.

Review 10:Staff were extremely helpful. They brought complementary sparkling wine. The food in the restaurant was delicious and very reasonable. The hotelbuilding is very attractive, and the place is very quiet.

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:Just a great place for people who are looking for a nice hotel with the friendliest staff, great food and wonderful location. Romantic place within a park. Just in the middle of Pisa and Florence. Great to make trips to both cities and it's not far to the Mediteranean either. We will come back for sure!!!

Review 13:Elegant spacious room. Delicious food.

Review 14:Evry thing

Review 28:Spacious and with a sense of grandeur. The hotel wasn't too big. Good restaurant and very good breakfast. Pleasant staff and a very relaxing atmosphere. Very good value for money.

Review 29:Our room was excellent and a very good size, the large bed was extremely comfortable and a very good size. The bathroom was also of a very high standard. The meals were excellent, beautifully cooked, generous helpings and very reasonable priced.

Review 30:Nothing. As above just the street address to get there.

Review 31:Amazing value for money. Seemed like endless extras the villa is incredible and the food so good we ate there both nights. Just loved it. Five star. But the street address is wrong and awfuk trying to find it. Very easy once you know castelvecchio is not the street forvthe entrance. Totally confused our navman.

Review 32:This is such a gem, nice in the country side, super friendly hosts. You need to be by car and search for some restaurants. In our case the host helped me deal with our flat tire, very nice.

Review 33:The tact we have stayed only one night.

Review 34:Everything was perfect - location, view, villa exterior, villa interior and details, rooms (spacious, clean and attractive), personnel, breakfast (wow)... We'll be back, for sure...

Review 36:really liked the decoration of the hotel, and the many outside dining areas were great. the food was good and inexpensive

Review 37:We arrived quite exhausted after a longer biking tour at Villa Sonnino and were welcomed by the friendly stuff. They made us breads as we felt pretty starved. On the next morning they even prepared the breakfast earlier as we started our next cycling tour quite early.

Review 38:We had a room with a big tree in front of us, so no view. We only had 1 wifi code, apart from that all good.

Review 39:I liked how this hotel is set in the Tuscany countryside. Lovely setting and really like they offer free Cava on arrival. The staff very friendly. Free car park and breakfast included in the rate. We stayed for a night only and would like to have stayed longer. Would suggest for anyone travelling around Tuscany.

Review 40:The road from from the main road to the Villa Sonnino is awful. It is made my little stones and dust and when you drive a big cloud of dust remains behind. Everything is dusty. Something should be done.

Review 41:Very nice property with very large rooms and nice interiors. It's like a visit back in time. Internet and safe are included in the rate.

Review 42:Would have liked a swimming pool because the weather was so hot and the garden was geared up for weddings and not really anywhere to sit and relax.

Review 43:Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Excellent food and good value for money.

Review 44:A lovely hotel with good food and helpful staff. Breakfast is excellent.

Review 45:Hard to find, signs need to be put in a more visible place...
