Reviews for Ein Gedi Kibbutz Hotel

Review 1:When we checked in administrator at reception took the money a second time even though we paid for our stay when booking. When we checked out administrator confirmed this fact and told that they will return money ASAP. Now we are waiting this money the whole week and have no idea how long we should wait more our money... Wi-fi in our room didn't work actually. We had worked in the lobby.

Review 2:Meal in kibitz dining room is perfect! Vegetables, fruits, bakery products and a lot of more!!! One morning we saw from our window many small animals like a badger or a jerboa! They run on a grass and jumped on tables, roofs!!! That was awesome!!!

Review 3:not the best value for your money. dinner seemed overpriced

Review 4:Enjoyed the authentic kibbutz experience... Great location for doing the activities/sights in the area

Review 5:The 10 am opening hours of the kibbutz swimming pool and the evening only opening hours of the gym.

Review 6:We loved the setting the views the pathways to the spa and the friendly and ever helpful staff in both the reception the spa and the restaurant.

Review 7:Accomodation is a little old and a little down. DON'T visit the Ein Gedi spa. Even if you get a voucher. Dirtiest and saddest place I've ever seen.

Review 8:Great location in lovely gardens with a great view.

Review 9:The first thing that comes to regarding front desk person Abed Qneibi is unfriendly, lacking tact, and basic hospitality service skills. Checking in was okay. However, when we checked out we were informed that we needed to pay additional tax for some unknown reason. We had to pay for Abed's mistake.

Review 10:The natural environment.

Review 11:The dinner option is a bit pricey.

Review 12:Location is perfect if you are visiting the Dead Sea. Your stay will include the botanical gardens that are on the property as well as the private beach and spa 3 miles distant. The breakfast is an excellent buffet selection of many items, most of which are very fresh.

Review 13:Before I booked a room I read many very diverse reviews about the hotel. And our experience was similar. The check-in was okay – definitely no warm welcome, but okay. We got nearly all the information we asked for. A nice surprise was the included entrance to the spa area, which was great – and the 2 bottles of water in our room (obviously because we booked via booking.com). The room itself was way better than expected from the reviews. And we woke up the next morning by the noise of some hyrax chasing each other. :) The included breakfast was not that amazing unfortunately. The mixture was a bit weird – neither Israeli nor European nor American, but something in the middle (I guess?). The bread rolls were old (at least from the day before), the cake partly dry (it was standing on a hot plate, which his nice, but simply dries out the cake ...), the scrambled egg also without any moisture ... The only really good thing was the tomato shakshuka. We didn't book the dinner as we wanted to take a look at it first. It was a buffet, and it would've cost us 150 ILS, which was – in our eyes – way too much. So we ended up at the nice bar of the restaurant with affordable good food, seating on the terrace under palm trees, and really nice stuff. So our advice: Either book the dinner in advance (it comes quite cheap when booked in the package) or eat at the bar. Our room was clean, the spa was as well, and we enjoyed our stay – despite the above mentioned negative/weird things.

Review 14:The room needs to be upgraded -- needs painting and small repairs. Also the shower faucet was the wrong way round (as a result you didn't know which way to turn it for a hot shower. Also the bathroom door didn't close.

Review 15:Beautiful garden, wonderful breakfast, great spa facilities.

Review 16:Reception called us several times to leave the room although it was not yet 11:00 am (check-out time).

Review 17:The place is great. A paradise on earth! So many beautiful flowers, trees, animals... And so quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast!

Review 18:The room was very spacious and comfortable but the shower flooded the entire floor in the bathroom making it extremely slippery. Fortunately, they are generous with the towels which we spread on the marble floor

Review 19:We enjoyed the onsite botanical gardens and the convenience of the location to Masada and the spa on the Dead Sea

Review 20:Breakfast was fine. Diner very disappointing, food was cold. The accommodation needs paint, care. The money you pay and how it looks like is disappointing.

Review 21:Nice Spa and the outside Spa down the road. Nice botanical garden.

Review 22:Not very clean, you see the years ... Reception personell is very unfriendly. Evening dinner personell is very friendly. The price for the room is totally rediculous.

Review 23:Very nice location. Surrounded by mountains.

Review 24:The hotel room is very basic for the premium price and the bathroom is in need of a thorough cleaning. The dinner buffet is also expensive for what they serve.

Review 25:Nice spa area. The nature is great. Friendly staff.

Review 26:For the high price we paid for the room, honestly we expected more. The room we were in was very small, narrow and dark. It felt like we were in some sort of bunker. The AC unit dripped water onto the floor in the room. The plastic table and chairs just outside the room were cheap. For the price of staying there, the guests should be allowed to visit both spas each day, if they want to-- not be limited to just one per day. Although the grounds were lovely and generally well maintained, it appeared that they had trouble keeping up with picking up litter. Additionally, the "zoo" on the Kibbutz was very depressing and was reminiscent of how zoos were years ago, with small, drab enclosures. The Kibbutz should close this down and send the animals (the monkeys in particular!) to better/updated zoos. A "laundromat" was advertised- - this turned out to be a small cluttered room with the feel of a handyman closet, with one washing machine (costing 15 shekels per load) and one dryer that was out of order throughout the several days we were there. The overall feel of the place was a bit shabby/run-down and the staff were not particularly helpful or friendly. The sense we got is that they know they are the "only game in town" and so put little effort into customer service. Because of the unique and beautiful location, this place could be amazing and could have been the highlight of our 3 week trip to Israel, but instead it was our least favorite of the places we stayed.

Review 27:The hotel location is perfect for the Dead Sea visitor, and the grounds are spectacular (in a botanical garden, overlooking the Sea). The fresh water swimming pools were gorgeous. The hotel stay included a pass to the spa on the hotel grounds or to the spa very near to the Dead Sea, with transportation to the Sea. The breakfast buffet (included) was extensive and delicious.

Review 28:The staff were not at all service orientated. Our room wasn't serviced on the second day - we reported it and were promised that someone would freshen it up....nobody turned up and no apology. When we checked out, the bill had US$488 VAT added which should not have been. The site was nicely planted out with all sorts of tropical plants but was very scruffy - it could do with a good sweep and a clean.

Review 29:We had one of the superior mountain view rooms which was absolutely superb - the room had some great features, it was very comfortable and everything worked perfectly.

Review 30:The only negative of this wonderful hotel is they need to post more directional signs on the property to point out which direction to walk to the different sections of hotel rooms.

Review 31:We were there for 2 nights. It was a nice surprise when we were told that it included 2 dead sea spa visits. One was on the property of the hotel (it was very nice) and the other was a couple of miles away (not as nice, but fine enough). Also, our room (not all) had a little private patio with a place to dry washed clothes and a table and chairs to sit outside. Also, there are free tours that start at the hotel. We went to the ancient synagogue and a tour of the botanical gardens on the kibbutz. Both were very interesting.

Review 32:Reception staff was rather rude and uninterested. You only get one free pass a day for either one of the spa's, both spa's should be included daily looking at the price of one night stay. The spa by the Dead Sea was horrible.

Review 33:We loved the location, great views over the Dead Sea. The hotel spa is great (with a bath with dead sea water), the spa right by the Dead Sea was very busy, gross and unimpressive (only nice thing was access to the actual Dead Sea). The vegitation is beatiful, lovely plants and trees, well maintained! Room was small but nice.

Review 34:We got a room upgrade which was a nice surprise. Lovely hotel, the food in the restaurant was excellent with a breakfast that could set you up for the day! Unfortunately did not get to use all the facilities because we were sightseeing but our room was very spacious, clean and had a large comfortable bed. there was live music in the bar every evening. We had a flat tyre and the kibbutz garage fixed it for free. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 35:The main pool was very busy with lots of children.

Review 36:Great location. The grounds are lovely and the new spa at the top is wonderful. Lovely small pool for adults only and an indoor dead sea water pool. We ate in the dining room and it was adequate, plenty of food, but as others have noted quite expensive. But good to have the option

Review 37:TV could be bigger :) The price for a standard is a bit higher from expected Check out is preferrable till 12:00 (for the high price particularly)

Review 38:Place, staff, variety of activities (SPA) included, meals, shopping, bar, snack bar

Review 39:Dust the rooms under furniture and change up the breakfast.

Review 40:It is a beautiful place e and people are friendly a d helpful which is very important. The room was comfortable and d loved the large shower. What I didn't like was that there was dust In the room under the bed and desk. I would also suggest to change up the breakfast a bit.

Review 41:Staff confused sometimes unpolite. Far from the dead sea without a car..

Review 42:The trip to the national park , the guide of the national park. The skyline and the dead sea of course

Review 43:The people at reception seemed irritated by the guests - we were given a very basic room needing refurbishment (probably because we were only staying one night ) - the hotel has the monopoly in that area but if another place opens up, they are going to have problems

Review 44:The spa is excellent as well as the pool area - very well located for visiting the Dead Sea - good internet

Review 45:Having to choose between the spa at the Dead Sea and the spa at the Hotel (and both closing too early).

Review 46:Location - convenient for Ein Gedi Spa, fantastic gardens. Good breakfast buffet.

Review 47:The rooms were't that nice and really weren't very clean. We were led to believe we were staying in the actually kibbutz but you are actually staying in a separate hotel.

Review 48:the location was incredible and the spa was excellent. Greta views and the botanical garden were well great. Good for kids.

Review 49:Quite pricy. Hard to get to when travelling on public transport although bus stop right in front of hotel the bus from Eilat dropped us 2km at foot of hill of hotel.

Review 50:Beautiful setting in botanical garden. Very friendly staff. Huge breakfast.

Review 51:The man at the reception desk was very impersonal and not really friendly and helpful. It felt like he just gives you minimum service he is required and was not really helpful in our check-in especially not directing us properly where to park when it is not easy to be carting bags in rough hilly surfaces!

Review 52:Except at the front desk / check-in, the staff at the restaurant especially their manager were all very friendly and accommodating. Great food, very beautiful and scenic place!

Review 53:Not big on service - some staff rude Room not cleaned for 2 of the 4 days

Review 54:Fantastic location! Lovely facilities. Good upgraded room Free entry to spa by the dead sea (although not publicised) Lovely bar area Exquisite vista and setting

Review 55:The price of the dinner are expensive: 140 shekels / person every night is lot of money. The lack of tourism infoprmations around the kibboutz at reception desk.

Review 56:the place is very good, the swimming pool is clean, there s a oen for young child. The food is good.

Review 57:Wifi in main building fine, but poor in room.

Review 58:Very helpful reception staff, information on Masada. Also Kibbutz's Private Dead Sea area very useful. Restaurant Manager organised Surprise Birthday cake too !

Review 59:The nature environment, views, animals, fact that we could buy our own food from friendly kibbutz supermarket. Ate in our room. Nicelittle trains to get around, met friendly guests. Gorgeous child-free spa on site, huge swimming pool

Review 60:The pool closes at 6 Which is abit early Check out at 11 instead of 12 The welcome was really cold. Not even hi, just Asked for passport

Review 61:The pool and spa are great facilities Excellent brakfast buffet with very duversified large choicr

Review 62:We were originally put in an old room that faced the car park. When I commented we were later offered a brand new room that was much nicer....why not originally? The people at the front desk were not very helpful to tourists.

Review 63:The location is very good and the pool is nice especially for families. There seem to be some great rooms that face the river (canyon) and have a tremendous deck view....not sure how you get these?

Review 64:Outrageously overpriced evening meal when there is no alternative. Pool closing at 6pm. Noisy air conditioning in room. Unfriendly and aloof staff. Restaurant was about 10 minutes walk from the room. It was just not at all what we had expected, given the price paid, and it is too late to change your mind when you get there, as it is so isolated.

Review 65:Breakfast, and the swimming pool. The view of the mountains at the back.

Review 66:Extremely expensive - dinner costs 130 nis (30€) per person and onshabat 45 €. Very remote, busses only go rarely, especially on shabat.I'd recommend to go with a rental car.

Review 67:Very beautiful place. Hyaxes and ibex enter the compound from theadjacent wadi. Discount for national park (25 NIS/person) and deadsea transfer and entrance included.

Review 68:Manual for the aircondition would be appreciated

Review 69:The kibbutz atmosphere males you feel welcome. The meals in the restaurant are excellent. The garden is beautiful.

Review 70:The check in was really long and waste of our time.

Review 71:This was a great place to stay and visit Dead Sea. Having a free access to the spa was a great plus! It's a nice facility to relax with beautiful view of the Dead Sea. It made our stay more relaxing and very enjoyable. We were upgraded to a nicer room, which made the stay much better. The view from the room was incredible and unique. The breakfast was really nice. We loved walking around and enjoyed the plants in the middle of the desert. The biggest plus was that we got to use the access to the Dead Sea and were there before the crowds. All in all this was the right spot to visit and experience the Dead Sea on our trip through Israel.

Review 72:We arranged ahead for a guide rate for my guide, they had trouble locating it and charged me the full rate. Later after arguing about it, they found the reservation with the guide rate and then credited me back in shekles, not dollars, shorting me $75.

Review 73:The grounds are beautiful

Review 74:I was traveling with my husband, my mom, and my sister. We booked twoseparate rooms. My mom and sister's room had spiders, webs, ants, and cockroaches. The ants were carrying two dead baby cockroaches up theside of the bathroom door. It was absolutely disgusting. The rooms areincredibly overpriced for absolutely no reason. In my room, the sinkwould leak drastically every time the water was turned on and thefridges did not cool. In addition, when we checked out, they chargedValue Added Tax (vat) to my entire bill (I was paying for both rooms). My mom is Israeli so I knew she would get charged vat and I was preparedto pay that. However, they would not reimburse me for the other threepeople (me, my husband, and sister) because they said vat cannot berefunded even though we are American citizens. The private beach theyhave to the dead sea is horrific. The close it early at 4:30pm whenthere is plenty of daylight left. You also have to take a shuttle (ordrive) to a completely different location to get there and then takeanother shuttle to get to the beach. All of which they do not tell youabout. The "beach" is hard salt and rock. It's extremelyhard to walk on and very dangerous. I have been to the dead seapreviously and know other locations actually have sand instead of hardrock. In the evening, we were all having some drinks outside the bar andsaw three huge cockroaches crawling all over the wall beside us. Thishotel is absolutely filthy and not worth a single penny. The staff isabhorrently rude and did nothing to help our situation. You will enjoyyour stay more if you reserve your room at the hostel or at a hoteldirectly on the dead sea. The arugot river is close enough to any hotelon the dead sea that you can drive or take a shuttle to get there. Thereis no good reason to stay at this hotel. Save yourself the stress andbook elsewhere.

Review 75:Was not thrilled with the room. And the air-conditioner is directly overhead which is uncomfortable.

Review 76:Excellent location and views. Great pool and spa. Lovely gardens.

Review 77:The bus on way back from Dead Sea Ein Gedi spa did not come on time - we took back the Egged city bus instead.

Review 78:Don't miss the moonlight hike at the foot of Massada - free with stay. Food was great! Pool was wonderful! Kibbutz restaurant staff were very friendly. Basic but clean comfortable rooms. Beautiful kibbutz grounds.

Review 79:Nothing. Wifi in room was weak, but strong in public areas, including lovely & large swimming pool.

Review 80:Junior suite nestled in the beautiful botanical garden oasis. Stunning! Accommodations are comfortable, not luxurious. Breakfast & dinner buffets are superb. Very friendly staff.

Review 81:Sadly, they insist on piping music all the time even in the Spa which is billed as being peaceful and serene. We were in the crossfire between that music and loud music from the pool. The Spa receptionist was unhelpful but the man at main reception was sympathetic though nothing changed.

Review 82:The setting amid spectacular botanical gardens with dramatic views across the Dead Sea to the mountains of Jordan is unbeatable.

Review 83:The staff in General could be much more friendly.

Review 84:The amazing setting in a wonderful tropical garden full of birds, butterflies and animals.Lovely spa facilities,

Review 85:It was out of the way, very spread out and needed a car to get from the accomodation to the pool and spa. The staff were unfriendly. The price for accommodation and food ridiculously high. The access offered to the Dead Sea was very second rate.

Review 86:Comfortable bed.

Review 87:The AC is just on top of the bed and the blue light is very strong, so if you like to sleep in total darkness bring your night mask :)

Review 88:Friendly staff, clean, easy. The breakfast is quite awesome !

Review 89:The hotel is on the kibbutz which is an official botanical garden (and also has the softest springiest grass areas to lie down and look at the stars). just a perfect location.

Review 90:The room was beautiful. We had a view of the mountains from our balcony that was breathtaking. The gardens around the hotel are absolutely beautiful and the pool is a welcome place on a hot afternoon. The tour of the botanical garden and the kibbutz was so special. Just beautiful. Breakfast was dazzling.

Review 91:Dîner is great and diverse but a bit pricey and since there are no other options... You just pay 120 NIS

Review 92:Swimming pool Spa with free tea / coffee / fruits Incredible view The place itself is magical

Review 93:Very poor breakfast, the food was not fresh, dirty and very shabby dining room. Not good value for money. Bad breakfast spoilt our stay.

Review 94:Spa and superior room(upgrade) Beautiful surroundings, pleasant and vibey bar/cafe

Review 95:Very short working hours of beach and pool facilities. In June still applying the working time indicated for Spring.

Review 96:Excellent breakfest, helpfull staff.

Review 97:Nothing. It was heaven in the desert

Review 98:The pool was great. Area of shade and sun were ideal for swimming as well as enjoying the water. The Spa by the poor was superb. The service was great the views from the area was spectacular.

Review 99:The rooms are incredibly basic and quite old - very overpriced for what you are getting.

Review 100:The actual grounds and facilities are great. Beautiful views, lush greenery, great pool area and a really nice and relaxed atmosphere overall. The food is reasonably good too.

Review 101:The new Spa by the swimming pool had the most awful music which employees refused to turn off. Spa Regulation 8 tells its customers not to make a noise presumably so that you can listen to their "music" & get a headache.

Review 102:Away from it all - the quietness & the luxuriant vegetation

Review 103:Everyone was very nice except for the first person that checked us in. He did not seem like he wanted to help us and responded to our questions like we were bothering him.

Review 104:The view from the room was breathtaking! The room was great and the site was gorgeous. The food was good and the ease of transportations to the rest of the kibbutz was a big benefit.

Review 105:only one buffet dinner option and it was quite expensive for someone like me who doesn't eat a ton in one sitting.

Review 106:beautiful area in Israel, great perks come with taking a room here (private beach access, spa access, discounts for hikes, etc)

Review 107:Over the last ten years we've seen growth and an attempt to be more of a luxury resort. However, since last year the food and service have declined, the reception desk staff are less personable and, for the first time, a mouse ran across my son's head in the middle of the night!

Review 108:The location is fabulous without a doubt. Still on of the most beautiful and relaxing places you can go

Review 109:Price was way above what you get. Dinner buffet was incredibly expensive Service was basically ok. Room cleanliness was fair at best.

Review 110:Amazing gardens Unique location Great pool and spa

Review 111:Staff at reception unfriendly - with one exception. No help in getting luggage to rooms.

Review 112:The Spa and efficiency of the therapist most of its staff friendly.

Review 113:The staff was hit or miss. Some friendly and helpful; others not. Food was very average.

Review 114:Avoidance of Dead Sea High Rises and staying in a beautiful location. Also, close to Masada. Upgraded room is worth it.

Review 115:The check in is crowded and slow, they need space for more than two staff working at a time. But it isn't that important.

Review 116:We liked the room, the view, the restaurant, the pool, the Dead Sea and the breakfast and dinner and the snack bar and the beautiful grounds. Most people gave very good service.

Review 117:There was only veggie menu: no meet or chicken. Too many cats staring at you when eating at the patio.

Review 118:The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed. I especially liked the pool area, although the staff didn't know how to use the beer tab and dogs were running around wild and free. Still there was plenty of room for everyone (even for the dogs) and I enjoyed the sunny days at kibbutz.

Review 119:We `ve booked superior with view on the desert mountains or botanical garden and had to look at the garbage basket on the footpath. very disappointing.

Review 120:the area is pretty

Review 121:You don't have many options in this region so they can charge a premium. 1/2 hr drive to get dinner if you dont eat there, but fortunately the dinner and breeakfast buffet was very good. Beautiful surroundings. Old rooms old with some updates. Fine for 1 night however.

Review 122:The facilities on the beach are very basic.

Review 123:The location, the views from our room overlooking the Nahal Arugot. The new cafe/restaurant. The botanical gardens.

Review 124:Beautiful spa pools (sweet and salt water) and spa treatments, huge swimming pool, plus another good swimming pool with shuttle to float in the Dead Sea. Location close to Masada.

Review 125:The bed was extremely uncomfortable. And the staff member at checkin was very rude and unfriendly. There was no mention of needing both passport and visa slip to not get charged VAT but luckily I was able to provide both by the end of the stay. It was an additional $55 for one night if I hadn't given them my passport and visa paper. They also were knocking on the door well before checkout even when I had requested a late checkout. They called 6 times in 30 min and sent someone to the door 4 times. We had asked for late checkout and got til 12. The calls and knocks were between 10-11:30.

Review 126:Loved the area, the hotel grounds, and atmosphere.

Review 127:What a nice stay, I loved this marvellous place. It is so relaxing and wonderful (the hotel room was great, all renewed and super clean). And I have to mention the fantastic buffet, both for dinner and breakfast.

Review 128:It would be helpful if the hotel offered a transportation service to Nahal David and Nahal Arugot. They are very close by, and considering that the hotel already offers a shuttle to the spa beach, it wouldn't be hard for them to also take guests to the nature reserves. As it is one has to take the bus if one doesn't have a car and there are periods when the bus does not run as often. The staff was mostly very nice and helpful, but there was one man at the front desk who was less so. When I asked about getting to the nature reserves, he recommended taking a cab for 80 shekels each way. When I asked about taking the bus he claimed he didn't know the schedule. But the front desk keeps a laminated bus schedule on their counter all the time! Every other time I asked about transportation, they referred to it (everyone else at the front desk was very nice). Then again, at periods when the bus doesn't come by for an hour, I might have been interested in taking a cab back to the hotel (80 shekels is just $20). I wished someone had told me when I checked in that there was a tour leaving for the nature reserve the next morning (this tour only happens once a week). I found it difficult to find the channel on the tv that supposedly detailed tours in the area. The spa was very nice (again, gorgeous view!) but the staff could have been a bit friendlier. Still I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. It is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable (I was in one of the newer superior rooms) and the food was great.

Review 129:The location is amazing and the grounds are beautiful, with gorgeous views of the Dead Sea.

Review 130:I was concerned that I asked for coffee creamer at the front desk for my room. I was given an excuse that Passover was a FEW WEEKS ago. When I woke up the following morning, creamer was in my room. Someone obviously came in my room while I was sleeping or taking a shower, and I didn't know it.i felt a little violated.

Review 131:The beautiful environment . I would suggest that plastic bags would be available to carry the wet swim suit.

Review 132:facility was beautiful. Gorgeous views of the Dead Sea from the spa. The trees and plants on the property were unusual and beautiful. Room itself was very nice with a small patio.

Review 133:Staff was okay, nothing special, just doing the minimum necessary. Its an amazing location, but you pay for it... Its all in all very expensive

Review 134:Nice rooms, very clean, amazing location and atmosphere

Review 135:Nowadays towel deposit at the mineral baths required if you don't bring one. Lock for clothes cupboard is charged nowadays. Renovated rooms have no place for hanging wet swimming clothes. The refrigerator has no depth and is too small to accommodate much at all, not even to keep more than one large bottle of soft drink or water cool. The swimming pool could be open in the evenings until at least 8pm. The kibbutz should take responsibility for the health of the numerous cats and for their sterilization.

Review 136:Free access to the Dead Sea and mudbaths as well as the inside warm mineral baths, all said to promote health, is included in the room rate, also on the day of departure, with free bus service there and back. Rooms and kibbutz housing are amid the beautiful int. botanical garden with flowering desert plants. Minizoo with huge turtles, monkeys, partridges and many other kinds of birds, donkeys, goats, small desert animals. Each room has a table and chairs outside the door for relaxing in the garden milieu and chatting with neighboring guests. Ein Gedi kibbutz has a very historic location - on a hill overlooking a valley and the canyon for hiking to David's hideaway from Saul. To get a feel of life on a kibbutz while enjoying the well-kept gardens, you can explore this large kibbutz walking along the numerous walkways and visiting the store and other public buildings. Sometimes there are concerts in the hotel with Jewish singers and musicians. The famous Masada hill is nearby. The restaurant has excellent professional kosher cooks offering an endless variety for hungry diners even for gourmet diners. At least a couple of nights at Ein Gedi kibbutz and a day at the Dead Sea are musts for us every time we visit Israel.

Review 137:It is pricey. The room was basic. Wi-Fi often broke down.

Review 138:The hotel garden was beautiful. Relaxing on the grass next to tropical plants overlooking the dead see was as good as it gets. Hotel restaurant serves more (good) food than anyone could eat. The pool is big (I'm a keen swimmer and usually disappointed by small hotel pools good for splashing but not real swimming- this was different, had multiple lanes). The zoo with animals is a great place for kids - I have never before been so close to crocodile and monkeys (in London zoo you are separated by numerous barriers and you pay 30£ for entry- so I actually preferred the hotel's zoo more!). Our son loved watching the new-born goose being breastfed by his mum.

Review 139:1. The grounds are not kept clean & tidy. 2. Maintenance is not good. We had to call someone to get the bedside lamp working. Housekeeping should have made sure that the wall switch that is located in a difficult place was switched on. 3. We showed the young maintenance man the cupboard door that is broken. He just shrugged his shoulders. 4.0 Charging city hotel rates for a kibbutz room is not justified.
