Review 1：Not really bad experiences, but, some things are really not matching for a 4 star property..... 1. Breakfast was very limited for a 4 star hotel... 2. Beautiful pool and allthough we had lovely warm (27C) sunny days and the pool was accessible and everything apparently switched on, there was never anyone there, no staff, no security, as in no lifeguard.... so swimming highly impracticable..... 3. No bar service anywhere..nothing in pool area, nothing in hotel area.... 4. No chair or even small table in room...so no place to sit down and use a computer or tablet...only the bed, so pratically impossibile to use....there were two comfortable chairs in the outside patio but mosquitos rendered the use of this patio totally impossible... 5. We asked reception for some mosquito repellent candles for the patio but they had none and made no effort to obtain any...we stayed for three days so there were ample opportunities to supply this.... Finally the location....probably many years ago this was a beautiful country villa, but all around it now is really not nice...you actually drive alongside a Lidl car park to access the hotel grounds!! All of this, I am sorry to say, is a long way, very long way, from 4 start facilities...

Review 3：A bit outside town with no dinner must drive 10 min to town and take a shuttle up to town. Total 30-45 min to get to the main square. For both lunch and dinner. Not your typical warm engaging Italian owners

Review 5：The location, behind a supermarket, not a very attractive entrance. The aspect to one side of the hotel is pleasant fields but to the other ugly flats, some pine trees strategically placed would have improved this.

Review 10：Beautiful villa not far from the center of the city. We change the standard room to deluxe room and it was good decision. It was big and comfortable with terrace.

Review 11：Would be great to have more windows and more light in the room. No differences from good 3 star hotels in Sicily. No bar or restaurant working in the hotel in the evening, you can only get a dinner in the hotel if you make a pre-order. As a 4 star hotel it could offer better breakfast. A city centre is quite far away, about 7-10 min by car

Review 18：Trying to get a taxi into town on Saturday night. Ordered at 8.15pm requested for 8.45pm to be told when we went to reception at 8.40pm no availability until 9.25pm!! Couldn't get a drink in the bar when we decided not to go into town. No staff other than receptionist. Their coffee machine at breakfast failed to produce anything other than lukewarm water.

Review 19：Junior Suite Room 2 was excellent beautiful layout but not if you have accessibility issues! Very comfy bed. Lovely terrace overlooking swimming pool and valley with good views to the distant sea. Swimming pool area was also very quiet and very relaxing. In a busy town it was a quiet oasis and nicely appointed small boutique hotel.

Review 22：Rooms are not soundproofed and every noise in the vicinity can be heard. Tiny bathroom with no window / daylight. Breakfast is a disaster – below level of an average 3-star hotel. Nothing gets replenished; even worst coffee ever. If you’ll not specifically ask for some food to be brought you’re guaranteed to leave with no breakfast at all (we were so shocked that it happened to us in the first morning). Location is beyond disappointing – in the middle of (very) shabby outskirts of Siacca. Would not have stayed there if seen it before and would never stay there again.

Review 24：Peaceful, relaxing, yet fun also for the children. The swimming pool was a perfect haven for hot sunnny days and the staff both on reception were helpful, polite and courteous. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast and dinners made our stay - they were kind and charming and made us feel like part of the family - so especially to Mirella, Maria and Michele - thank you for taking such good care of us.

Review 31：This is a beautifully restored villa and surroundings. The Villa Calandrino has been open for only several months and already they have everything right. The staff is beyond accomodating and is open to making sure the needs of each guest is fulfilled. we loved our stay!
