Reviews for Hotel Casa Poli
Review 1:I was never informed that I was surprised that there was no hot food at the breakfast and the cost was additional if we wanted eggs. I was a little disappointed with the front desk as we asked them to make dinner reservations for us and they never confirmed they were made which ended up with us not having dinner at one of our restaurants because they opened a half hour later, which we did not find out until we reached the restaurant.
Review 2:location and cleanliness of the hotel
Review 3:Confusion at check-in with regards to reserved parking, which worked itself out.
Review 4:Very nice staff. Who were very helpful with dinner reservations. Very nice buffet breakfast. Clean room with a very nice bathroom and shower.
Review 5:No kettle in the room to make coffee or tea at your leisure, however upon asking the staff they were always too happy to assist and always made a beautiful brew!
Review 6:Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, happy at all times.
Review 7:Only a slight niggle, but limited storage in the otherwise very good bathroom.
Review 8:Excellent location, secure parking, beautiful comfortable room at the rear of the hotel. Varied and tasty breakfast.
Review 9:The staff was most accommodating in every way. The owner is always available to help. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had in a small hotel. The selection of food was fresh and many selections to pick from.
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:A smart and quiet boutique hotel, with spacious rooms and well designed facilities. Helpful and friendly staff. Not too far- 15 minute walk - from historic centre
Review 12:We had cancelled our original Mantua booking when it turned out to be in a remote shopping area. We were delighted to find Casa Poli. Though not right in the historic center of Mantua, it's only a moderate walk away. The hotel is sharp and modern inside but very comfortable, and the staff were supremely helpful, recommending and actually booking a wonderful restaurant nearby which was among the gastronomic highlights of our visit. Parking was very, very secure, locked up behind gates. A wonderful stay
Review 13:One member of the breakfast staff was particularly rude and unfriendly
Review 14:All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was contempary and sylish
Review 15:We stayed in Mantova for 5 days in mid August to avoid the crowds at Lago di Garda. We loved our stay at Hotel Casa Poli because the rooms were perfectly clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, also breakfast was good. Its a 5 minute walk from the centre, but for those travelling by car it is perfectly placed to get there and from. Nearby parking in a garage can be recommended. For your evening meals, the best you can do is grab the list with restaurant recommendations from the hotel and hit it...traditional, tasty food :)
Review 16:Hotel and city deserted on arrival. Head for the busier parts of town at such times.
Review 17:Quiet room, spacy and modern. Good breakfast. Location just outside restricted city centre area.
Review 18:Nothing that I think about this.
Review 19:Staff was very friendly and polite. The hotel is simply beautiful and has a great value for money.
Review 20:The breakfast was rather poor
Review 21:Nothing to really complain about
Review 22:- very friendly staff - comfortable beds - good breakfast
Review 23:Great town, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Recommend highly to anyone visiting Mantova aka Mantua.
Review 24:Location
Review 25:Wide room and very comfortable bed. Really 10 minutes walk to city centre. Staff professional and kind.
Review 26:Beautifully decorated room, super comfortable, bathroom very modern, spotlessly clean
Review 27:Room was either too hot or too cold. Lots of road noise. As is common, no coffee making facilities in room.
Review 28:Clean comfortable bed.Very stylish hotel.
Review 29:A little out of city center, but still a pretty easy walk to center. Nice modern and clean room, helpful and friendly staff!
Review 30:Room power auto shutoff unless key card is in a slot is a real bug.
Review 31:Helpful, English speaking staff
Review 32:The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good with a nice selection.

Review 34:comfortable bed, good breakfast, helpful staff

Review 38:A lovely hotel, excellent restaurant. Helpful staff. The garden is fabulous.
Review 39:nothing in particular
Review 40:The general ambiance and the comfort of the bed
Review 41:Water pressure in shower
Review 42:Breakfast / wifi / service / comfortable beds were all excellent
Review 43:Clean, modern, well designed, comfortable, friendly
Review 44:The Casa Poli is ten minutes' walk from the Ducal Palace and cathedral and also from the Palazzo del Te in the opposite direction, so it is well placed. Although it does not look much from its exterior, it is a very comfortable hotel inside, with rooms stylishly equipped and decorated. There is no restaurant, but that is no disadvantage as there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. The staff are friendly, helpful and English speaking and there is a private garage at extra cost.
Review 45:This hotel is the perfect location to walk into this historic city. The staff were very helpful in promoting the sites of the town, places to eat & general information. Light & bright decor.
Review 46:Shower too small and not enough pressure. Also lots of mould needed cleaning. Window doors were passed by staff reducing privacy Mosquitos so needed some plugin repellent or something Bed sloped into middle
Review 47:Very quiet room Easy distance into main mantua sights Breakfast was plentiful.
Review 48:Lovely friendly cheerful helpful staff. Made us feel compoletely welcome and even worked out from my passport that it was my birthday . Presented me with a local cake when we checked out. Light airy rooms with modern fittings and great bathroom. Ten mins walk from centre but very pleasant and quiet setting.
Review 49:Great location, easy walk to town centre. Huge choice at breakfast, very fresh food. Staff incredibly helpful, going out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. Very welcoming and friendly. Clean, modern, and stylish. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
Review 50:We did not like the very tiny television which was far too small to watch
Review 51:The staff were excellent. We loved the luxurious bed linen and breakfast was extremely good. Easy walk into town and the restaurant they recommended was terrific.
Review 52:Luxury 4star so would have expected a few more little extras! Very small TV, No bathrobes, hair conditioner, body lotion, tissues, etc. Other than at breakfast, no food or beverages available.
Review 53:Friendly staff, location within walk to old city, free wifi, parking, quiet and good value.
Review 54:We booked this hotel without much knowledge of Mantua. Both the town and the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly staff, beautiful design rooms-we loved our visit.
Review 55:We paid 105 € a night including wonderful breakfast + 15€ a day for private parking - a steal for this exquisite, minimalistic luxury hotel, very central and kind staff. Staff gave us a list of recommended restaurants near the hotel + opening hours of the museums - don't forget to visit the mindblowing Palazzo Te!
Review 56:Breakfast had limited choices but quality of the food was excellent
Review 57:Room was new, well equipped with design furniture Staff was extremely warm and kind and provided tips and tricks for the visit
Review 58:A little bit far away
Review 59:The good taste of the italian design is remarquable, and this is whatthe hotel offers. Good breafast, and friendly atmosphere. The room issuperb, and it is possible to park on the site.
Review 60:I liked everything.
Review 61:Excellent option out of the traffic restricted area, but still ashort walking distance to historical centre. Very nice staff and verycosy hotel.
Review 62:Perhaps it ought to have been possible to make a cup of coffee or tea in the room.
Review 63:Almost everything, as indicated. In particular, all the staff we encountered were delightful. And excellent breakfasts.
Review 64:a bit out of the city center (10 minutes walk is not that much, but Mantova is not that big...)
Review 65:very nice and gentle staff people. Nice hotel, clean, correct size of the rooms, attention to details and nice breakfast (a part form the orange juice)
Review 66:Klein hotel, prettige sfeer, hartelijke ontvangst, geen moeite teveel. Professioneel en toch heel persoonlijk. De inrichting was bijzonder smaakvol. Afgesloten parking op verzoek beschikbaar.
Review 67:Bed REALLY hard (to the point of being uncomfortable and affecting sleep); you have to ask for soft pillows -which are are readily given; the shower is tiny - if you turn around in it, you hit the soap rack! and this tiny size is unnecessary because the bathrooms are a good size. But the hardness of the bed - whihc others have also commented on - is the thing that that otherwise very nice Casa Poli loses points on.
Review 68:The staff are extremely helpful. The decor is very nice and the atmosphere is lovely and calm
Review 69:The only small criticism we would make is finding the hotel. We were given really good instructions by the hotel reception, but unfortunately we got into a mess leaving Verona Airport and didn't get onto the Autostrada which meant we entered Mantova on a different road. When we entered Mantova we were pleased to see several signs showing Casa Poli, but the signs disappeared, particular as you got close to the hotel and we had to drive around the town several times to try to pick them up again and as the weather was extremely wet and windy, the red canopy at the hotel entrance had blown back, so we missed it the first time.
Review 70:Right from the start we were warmly welcomed by everyone and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. All the staff were enthusiastic about their hotel and Mantova and gave us very good advice on restaurants and what to do in the city etc. They were extremely knowledgeable about driving times and routes we needed for our business trip. It was also really easy to park and leave our car, securely. Although a coffee/tea machine in the room would have been a bonus, we were able to sit in the lounge/breakfast area anytime and enjoy hot tea, and they even put Sky Sports TV on especially for us to watch the Manchester United game!!! We loved exploring Mantova in the spare time we had, but of course it is never enough and we would love to return, and without question would stay at Casa Poli.
Review 71:They should have triple sheeting to cover the blanket as I assume they don't wash the blankets for each guest. But I may be wrong as the blanket looked clean.
Review 72:The hotel reception staff was exceedingly helpful. The garage parking was very easy for Italy
Review 73:Beautiful and fresh modern interior, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, good location being about halfway between the two main attractions of Mantova (Palazzo Ducale and Palazzo Te). Staff pointed out free parking 3 minutes walk away. Mantova is gorgeous.
Review 74:Its position. It is too far to walk from the station pulling luggage, and the walk to the centre was about 20 minutes. This would not be enough to put us off, however, as everything else was so good.
Review 75:Staff exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We arrived on a very hot day and were given iced water before we had even booked in. The room was clean and modern, light, quiet, with desk, frig, free WiFi, phone, AC, spacious bathroom, with bath. Breakfast was very good too, with a wide variety offered and excellent service. There are good, reasonably priced restaurants, serving typical Mantovan fare, nearby. Lambrusco secco is plentiful and cheap!
Review 76:The staff were exceptionally helpful and the room was stylish and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the reception and departure services were of the highest quality. The hotel represented very good value for money.
Review 77:Very friendly staff, nice clean room, good breakfast
Review 78:Pleasant staff. Within easy walking distance of centre and the 'sights'. Modern décor. Comfortable and clean.
Review 79:clear modern and puristic style also in the details, very clean, staff very friendly, excellent breakfast - we will come back
Review 80:Clean and modern. Parking on street and near by for free. Close to Central sightseeing sights. Good breakfast
Review 81:The staff were very friendly, polite and very helpful. The rooms were very nice and the most important thing: it was very CLEAN!
Review 82:Friendly people Clean design Great shower
Review 83:Lovely design Friendly staff Everything thought out well - a real 4 star
Review 84:Staff extremely helpful especially elisa. I liked their Easter egg gift and was happy to contribute to the nominated charity.
Review 85:courtesy confort
Review 86:Friendly and competent staff, very nice room, very close to the place I had to go. Very rich offer of TV programs (although not trivial to find).
Review 87:Lovely design. V nice staff. Quiet during August.
Review 88:The hotel design is very smart, the beds are really comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
Review 89:Excellent room, helpfull staff and good location for the old town
