Reviews for Albergo La Conca Azzurra
Review 1:Bathroom had no vanity for storage or counter space.
Review 2:Beautiful views of the Amalfi coast and lovely gardens surrounding the hotel. The restaurant was very good. We had the largest suite with two terraces, one of which had a very large chaise lounge to enjoy the view.Best jacuzzi ever.
Review 3:The location is a bit difficult to travel from. The bus isn't always as reliable as one would hope but that may have been the time of year more than anything else.
Review 4:We loved the atmosphere and the helpful staff and their concerted effort to make everything as easy and comfortable for us as possible.
Review 5:Location would be our only complaint. While there's a bus stop right outside the door, the seas were rough a couple of days and the ferries not running. That meant the buses were full when they reached our stop and we were passed right by. The cost of a taxi is high - $40 - 60 each way, depending on which town you want. We thus missed out on seeing some of the towns we wanted to visit. It also meant a expensive taxi rides to get there and returned to the train station because there were no good bus or ferry service from there (transportation to and from cost us $200).
Review 6:While not luxurious, it had many luxurious touches, together with so many that gave it character. The room was absolutely lovely, with a huge balcony that provided an outstanding sea view. Lots of adorable nooks and crannies that provided much interest. Good breakfast each morning and nice dinners available. Staff was superb.
Review 7:Hard to find no sign saying HOTEL!! Terrible public transport and roads! Breakfast very so,so and dinner is hit and miss for the price!
Review 8:Great staff very helpful!
Review 9:Very poor location, had to use shuttle bus everywhere, which wasnt very frequent and packed and driven very dangerously, sometimes not stopping for you because it was full. Nothing in walking distance. Steps down to sun terrace was so steep and approx 450 steps. Very run down.
Review 10:Staff were very polite and welcoming.
Review 11:The lights in the shower were not working. And the drainage was not working too well as the water starts to flood the bath area easily. Breakfast was nothing much. It was difficult to get on the bus from this stop as not many pple alight.
Review 12:The food in the restaurant was good and cheap. The view was amazing. And the location next to the emerald grotto was really convenient to visit the site. This is the most beautiful grotto out of all I've seen there. Skip the blue grotto on capri because it really is a waste of time.
Review 13:Conca is located between Amalfi and Positano, which are interesting spots to visit. Transportation is definitely required to visit places outside of Conca Azzurra. If you don't mind the bus, it is perfect- inexpensive and convenient. Cabs can get expensive. The other option is to rent a car or scooter but the winding roads and tricky driving along the mountains are a definite consideration if you are brave enough to take it on yourself!
Review 14:This was our first time to Amalfi Coast- it is breathtaking! This hotel is built into the mountains and the views are spectacular. The hotel is perfect for a peaceful, serene getaway. The room was spacious with a private balcony, perfect for a relaxing and romantic trip. There is a rock platform with chairs to sunbathe, along with a natural swimming hole/pool area which they empty and refill each day. This is a longtime family owned resort and they are present daily to greet guests and ensure a comfortable stay. We decided to stay an extra day but the Azzurra was full so we had to move to another hotel. It only reinforced how fantastic this hotel is! We highly recommend a stay at the Albergo la Conca Azzurra.
Review 15:Family with small child in the room next to us was making a lot of noise making it difficult to sleep. Hotel staff moved us to a new room without any problem. The water in the outdoor jacuzzi was cold. I did not ask to turn it on and warm it up. Would have been nice after all-day hiking.
Review 16:The view is amazing and the restaurant is excellent.
Review 17:Te vue is just amaizing. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully furnished and as romantic as it can be with a separate terrace, so you can feel your self all alone with the sea.
Review 18:hotel needs here and there some minor repairs. Nothing disturbing. Probably will be done over the winer months.
Review 19:you can not imagine a more beautiful location on the Italian coast. Take a room with view to the sea, it's worth it. Excellent breakfast with Sicilian pasries.
Review 20:The restaurant being closed for dinner at off season.
Review 21:The experience at Albergo Conca la Azzurra started when we were in Pompeii a day earlier than our scheduled arrival. Called the hotel and asked for a room. We were lucky as it was off season, the wonderful and warm reception we received made us feel at home. The room was fantastic with large private balcony overseeing the Mediterranean from sunrise to sunset. This is a romantic hotel.
Review 22:This hotel was just perfect! We spend here our honeymoon . They gave us a junior suite despite that we've booked a double superior room. Breakfast was perfect , the view amasing! We will come back for sure!
Review 23:Nicely situated between Positano & Amalfi with Parking! Wonderful breakfast - so many choices, with a million dollar view! Best two night stay ever!
Review 24:The location meant that it was almost impossible to walk anywhere as the roads were so busy, and there were no bars or restaurants which we could reach without transport. It would have improved our stay if the hotel had had a proper bar where we could meet and talk to other guests over a drink
Review 25:We had a junior suite which gave us plenty of room with good balconies and a lovely view of the sea. Staff were extremely helpful, especially when we were both unwell
Review 26:Absolutely nothing! Couldn't fault it at all.
Review 27:Everything! Unbeatable location; superb balcony room with stunning view; access to private sea-cove for swimming attended by Life-guard for extra safety; excellent reasonably priced food in restaurant; owner who took a real interest in guests; superb caring staff. Sad to leave - wish we could have stayed for another week at least! Will certainly return. Best holiday to date!
Review 28:This hotel was beautiful. The staff and the food were excellent! The setting was truely exquisite (somewhat private, but easily accessible to all sites and activities. We will always treasure the memories of our stay at Albergo La Conca Azzurra.
Review 29:no english movie channels
Review 30:the staff, the room was large and comfortable
Review 31:Fantastic location with great access to the beach - its own beach! Great restaurant terrace for breakfast and dinner! Lovely atmosfere!
Review 32:The hotel has the best location and the service was simply the best. Just what I needed for my relaxing holiday in the Amalfi coast.
Review 33:Amazing views from our private balcony, great food, easy to get to surrounding towns and walking paths by local bus.
Review 34:access to the sea beats all
Review 35:restaurant quality hit and miss no other restaurants in walking distance
Review 36:location privacy view private beach
Review 37:a bit disappointed with dinner menu quality, so ate out most of the time
Review 38:staff was great, location and access to the water is a winner!
Review 39:The personal touch and friendly approach from everyone really makes you feel special. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and welcoming
Review 40:Costs are a bit extreme but the location is wonderful
Review 41:Beautiful location with a small bathing area at ocean level
Review 42:It took ages to get served in the restaurant
Review 43:View from the room Parking outside the hotel Attention of the staff
Review 44:The host Salvatore was very personable and accommodating. The breakfast was the best in our trip to Italy so far (4 weeks). You can't beat the views and we love hearing the waves crash on the rocks below. Would stay again.
Review 45:An outstanding hotel located right on the cliff, overlooking the Mediterranean. Fantastic view from room & balcony. Great restaurant & friendly staff.
Review 46:We arrived very late the first night and they were very accommodating and kept the restaurant open late to feed us. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. The views from the balcony are outstanding. We had a lovely time and would definitely return.
Review 47:Transportation around the area was by bus which werent particularly regular and always busy. Driving was not really an option due to the particularly narrow and whindy coast road. Last bus to our hotel was 9pm. Taxis were extremely expensive. Restaurant ok but not fantastic bearing in mind prices.
Review 48:We had a junior suite which was spacious, very clean and tidy, with a balcony sea view.Staff were very helpful. Amalfi coast line was breathtaking.
Review 49:It was really very strange. The door pricies were 25% less then Booking com prices. Shortly we have paid more. We are not happy with booking com for room values and getting prices for hotels through another site for our next visits.
Review 50:The hotel is quite good for Holiday
Review 51:Rooms should be inspected after daily cleaning just to avoid forgetting small things.
Review 52:Great place to spend a week and feel the magic of the Amalfi coast. Outstanding hospitality from the very beginning till you leave, especially Carmen.
Review 53:View hidden behind untrimmed trees. Very limited breakfast with bad cofee.
Review 54:Great location and view. Very friendly staff. Nice rooms Farewell gift of olive oil and homemade pasta.
Review 55:The hotel restaurant was a little pricey and the location is a little far from any of the bigger towns on the Amalfi coast.
Review 56:Great stay! We received a free upgrade to an ocean room when we arrived! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was very close and convenient. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Room was amazing and they even gave us a free bottle of local olive oil when we checked out.
Review 57:The view alone is worth the stay! We hope to go back and spend more days there just to soak up the beauty. Also, the staff were all extremely kind and helpful.
Review 58:This hotel lived up to the reviews we had read prior to our visit there. From our initial arrival until our departure the staff made us feelwelcome in every way. Our room was perfection with the outstanding viewspromised. I wish we could have stayed for a longer visit!
Review 59:My husband and I stayed at this hotel during a recent visit to the Amalfi Coast. We loved it!! The location was perfect for going out in either direction each day. The rooms were beautiful, very large, and the view was breathtaking. The bed was a little too hard for us, but we found that to be the case at all hotels throughout Italy. Breakfast was good, typical. Loved sitting on the veranda and looking over the water and looking at boats. The manager was really helpful and accommodating if we had questions or needed directions. He parked and retrieved out car each day, gave us a beautiful book on the Amalfi Coast, and a lovely parting gift. I would have loved to spend the rest of our trip right there! If we ever return if will be to La Conca Azzurra!!
Review 60:not the hotel's fault: buses are very crowded
Review 61:room was great-- very classy and super views. staff, especially peter, was outstanding and supportive restaurant was great-- food was outstanding.
Review 62:The fact that we couldn't stay longer and had to leave!
Review 63:Beautiful, scenic location. The staff were very friendly, gracious andhelpful. The food and restaurant was very good. Very nice layout of thehotel. Bus transportation was very accessible almost right outside thedoor. Truly enjoyed our stay there, maybe more than anywhere elsewe've been so far in Italy!
Review 64:Nothing
Review 65:There are hotels and there is Albergo La Conca Azzurra. Unique place with amazing views and atmosphere. Great restaurant. The friendly staff. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Review 66:Gorgeous view from the room and restaurant. Very friendly staff at reception and restaurant (the hotel manager passes by to make sure all is good). Rich breakfast - but this goes on second plan when having such a view! Private access to the sea (directly from the rocks) + jacuzzi on the rocks :). Parking available so no worries for the car. We had the room with balcony to the sea - spacious andclean (worth the extra pay) Big bathroom with hidromassage bathtub.
Review 67:There are generally a lot of mosquitos in the area & occassional appearance of jelly fish in the beach.
Review 68:The location was great. Me and my boyfriend decided to take a bus from SORRENTO and the bus stop was conveniently located outside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It has a terrace restaurant with an amazing view of the sea, CAPRI and PRAIANO makes it perect for breakfast and dinner. It also has its own access to private rock beach and to top that we received an upgrade to our room for free!!
Review 69:Shower worked fine but was a little old fashioned. Hair drier poor. Staff a little too quick to tidy tables in the dining room, no lingering time allowed. Music in dining room was annoying, only one tape loop of dubious taste music.
Review 70:Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms great and views and balcony wonderful. Quiet rooms which was good as roads were busy.
Review 71:staff friendly and helpful; location was beautiful; restaurant was excellent (wait staff friendly and helpful); reception upgraded our room to a beautiful suite and spoiled us . . . room was wonderful, clean and comfy; breakfast was very nice; we enjoyed our stay; it was an excellent experience
Review 72:Our stay here was as imagined. Very private room with magnificent views of the Mediterranean. The staff were very welcoming. A good bus service made for easy travel to the other attractions of the coast with the hassle associated with driving in that area.
Review 73:There is nothing not to like
Review 74:Amazing location!!! The hotel and rooms are beautiful. We had a free upgrade to a room with a great balcony with beautiful see view. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good, and the view... Staff are super nice and helpfull
Review 75:The sole reason for which we chose this hotel was because of theJacuzzi. Well, when we checked in they told us the jacuzzi was close forthe season!! Misleading advertisement
Review 76:the spa bathtube not working airconditioner was funky and switched on the lights during the night when it came on
Review 77:good location, quite and good sleeping climate excellent breakfast
Review 78:The hotel is quite isolated as far as being near other amenities. The roads are very twisty / windy and it takes a long time to drive anywhere. There is absolutely nowhere you can go by foot.
Review 79:Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were wonderful. View was subperb.
Review 80:The buffet breakfast was good but not much variation (we were there for 5 nights)
Review 81:Location was beautiful, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a balcony and sitting area with a sofa. The facilities were excellent; hot tub, beach platform with sea access, lots of sitting areas. The staff and owner were very friendly and made us feel at home.
Review 82:I liked it all.
Review 83:Everything! The room, the staff, the food, the atmosphere and even the owner were all excellent. It is a secluded location between Positano and Amalfi that makes getting to either town very easy.
Review 84:Not easily reachable and the facilities are not sufficient for along-stay trip
Review 85:Its position on the cliff is marvellous which offers an incredible viewof the amalfi coast. Considering its price, it's ideal for me to haveanother stay in summer
Review 86:It was really wonderful! The room was clean and silent, the staff were nice, the dinners were perfect! I hope we'll return there
Review 87:Great hotel with a supreme view, very nice breakfest.
Review 88:Excellent friendly staff. Food - well, really everything!!
Review 89:Smoke in the hallways coming from the restaurant
Review 90:Authentic Italian Good food Swimming in the sea Comfortable rooms Views
Review 91:The Hotel's restaurant has one of the best views, it's very romantic!!! The nearby Grotta dello Smeraldo is a bonus! we definitely recommend!
Review 92:Views
Review 93:Location - too far from other facilities. Not really possible to walk anywhere in the evening
Review 94:Hotel restaurant not as good
Review 95:Fantastic Medditerean view from balcony
Review 96:The staff were so so friendly, it was more like staying with a family at their home rather than a hotel! Amazing highly recommend
