Review 1：Maybe a Tea facility for the British in the room, as we all know how British cherish a cup of tea getting up in the morning! ;-)

Review 7：Firstly we were absolutely annoyed and disappointed of the level of 4 stars hotel, it is really like what you see on pictures is not what you get. The room they gave us firstly was terrible, we bought room with sea view, but the room was on the position of the roof on the lowest part of hotel (we felt firstly like we are in some basement) so the view was on can roof, the room smelled, the bathroom was in devastated condition (lights and shower were broken). But after ours complaints, the personal was adequate of standard of 4 stars hotel, beacuse they gave us the beautiful panoramic room.

Review 8：Position is right on the sea shore with private beach. Great rooms with panoramic view, where you really feel like you are on a bow of a ship. Beautiful view, but only from these rooms. Very nice and helpful personal.

Review 9：The central airconditioning was too strong for us. Nevertheless they turn it off, when you ask them. The bed was too soft: when my husband moved (no matter how swiftly) I was always bumping around in the bed and woke up.

Review 10：The view, the breakfast, the sunbed and parasol that come with the room. The staff was always quick when we asked for anything. We had a great dinner in the restaurant. It's a little off from the city center, but that's how you can get a beach like that (far from the harbour) and that is exactly why we have chosen this hotel.

Review 11：However, for the price paid, I would have expected a nice restaurant for lunch, whereas the restaurant staff was ignoring us, there was no English menu and they did not care what we wanted...

Review 12：Staff was nice and helpful. They had forgotten to put a baby bed in our room and they found us another room to have it. They also tried to answer all our questions.

Review 13：The restaurant and the breakfast (don t drink the coffee of the machine, request to the waiter a real coffee) were really not good. The wifi didn t work well. The parking on the first area is mostly full. On the second area, the parking is mostly full also and be carreful to the machine which throws out salt on the car. For coming on the parking on the third area, you have really to be carreful to your car because we damaged our exhaust by accrossing the ground beam. There is nothing around this hotel, no good restaurants, no bars, no supermarkets.

Review 17：The sun terrace was mainly aimed at Beach club members who were given priority over Hotel Customers. There was an unpleasant smell in the bedroom and all bedroom corridors. Beyond the hotel foyer the hotel was shabby, dated and badly in need of painting and updating.

Review 19：Hotel is quite far from the city. For this reason, the nearest supermarket we've found is in 1,5 hour by feet or apprx. 15 mins by bus. The latest bus is at 20:30 so plan your time carefully if you want to go to a center of a city. WiFi is very very slow and drops every 5 minutes. It is enough to check emails, but nothing more. Breakfast was too small for 4-star hotel: just a coffee and juice, several croissants, fruits and cakes. Don't expect to eat scrambled eggs with sausages as it usually is in other 4-star hotels. People in restaurant do not speak English.

Review 20：Hotel is directly on the sea, which is great. Room was cleaned every day and towels were changed on a daily basis. Staff at the reception was always ready to help with any questions.

Review 40：arriving at Livorno by train and trying to get a taxi was impossible. luckily a person working at the hotel Rex gave us ride in his car otherwise I think we would still be at the train station waiting for a taxi. once we worked out the bus system it was okay but not easy when you don't speak Italian.

Review 42：We love Rex! Everytime we need to relax this is the perfect spot for us. It is possible to enjoy the sea, just few steps under the rooms, where you can find free seats and umbrellas or just relax in the terrace, with sea view of course! Breakfast is served on the terrace, the staff is really amazing, after one day they remembered the number of our room and what were our favorites at the buffet, simply great! We also tried the restaurant under the hotel, the food was good but the staff quite arrogant and not at all kind, but the "marefritto" restaurant is not part of the hotel. The rooms are equipped with a jacuzzi shower that is the perfect way to start the day! And the bed is perfect! I totally recommend Rex! Great value for money!

Review 118：Was rated as a 4 star hotel but we have stayed at 3 star that are better. There was a party/nightclub/function carried out on the Friday night on the Hotel's terrace area. The noise of the music and vibrations through the building meant it was impossible to sleep until well after midnight. There was no prior warning provided by the Hotel management. The wifi failed on our floor but there was no management available to fix the problem until the next day. We picked this place as a 'reward' after spending 5 weeks on the road using lessor accommodation. We were most disappointed... I could go on with a number of issues that you don't expect with a 4 star hotel. In summary, a great hotel/location that doesn't fulfil its potential due to poor management/operation.

Review 125：Our room was of a reasonable size and had a lovely sea view. After a hectic few days in Rome, we really appreciated the chance to just chill on our balcony. The hotel was not busy when we were there and deck-chairs, parasols, etc. were plentiful. We enjoyed a pleasant dinner in their a-la-carte restaurant, sitting in the outside terrace with a lovely view of the sea - luxury! Our room had a 'hydromassage shower' and, unlike many hotel ahowers, it worked well and was very relaxing. Our breakfast was good, with a fair selection of the usual breakfast fare - selection of cold meats and cheeses, cereal, yogurt, bread pastries, etc. we enjoyed our stay and would have liked to relax longer, but our next city was calling us.

Review 126：The cleaning standards are very poor, although we stayed in September which is not a very busy month. Except the linen/towel chance and the wiping of the sink, everything else was not done, a bit of detailed cleaning is required. The hotel restaurant was booked out for the duration of our stay so dining options were limited without having to travel.

Review 127：The hotel is right on the beach and their facilities for sunbathing and relaxing by the sea are very good! The rooms are basic, spacious and very practicable, but some a bit dated. Staff are very pleasant and have a lot of useful information about the area, the city and other surrounding cities and they proved very accommodating and helpful. The free parking is a plus as you will need a car to travel around.

Review 128：The staff in the restaurant didn't seem very freindly, I assumed it was because I was English and didn't speak Italian. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, as did my sisters room two down from us. The worst thing was the banging noise all night stopping me sleeping, my sister had the same problem. It seemed to be coming from beneath but we had rooms above and below us, I investigated in the morning but never solved the enigma. It was windy that night but I couldn't find anything tapping/moving. Breakfast was ok but I didn't expect to be getting all my drinks from a machine in a 4 star hotel. My summary is that the rooms and lobby area need updating as they are looking tired, I would rate this as a 3 start at best.
