B&B Porta di Mare sells fast on our site. The family-run Porta di Mare is located in the pedestrian area of Sciacca's historical centre. This B&B features a garden and is named after the ancient gateway nearby. Free bike parking is available on site.
Rooms offer free WiFi, air conditioning and a private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries. Each room has an LCD TV and a small fridge and some have panoramic sea views.
Breakfast is served daily in a dedicated room or out in the garden. It consists of freshly bakes croissants, seasonal fruit, and bread with extra virgin olive oil. Typical local products are also available on request.

Review 1：Nothing, everything was just perfect.

Review 2：Cento percento! :) This place is perfect for hedonists. It's in the middle of historic center of beautiful and authentic Sciacca. Rooms are cosy and comfort, just short walk from nice piazza. Chef is extremely nice and hospitable and he made us stunning gourmet breakfast. Mmm! I wish we had more time to stay longer. Recommed!!

Review 3：Not advisable to stay here if you have a problem with steps as whichever way you approach the B and B, you have LOTS of steps and have to carry luggage---

Review 4：We stayed here in August and liked its location as close the the town/restaurants etc so decided to book again. It is a little awkward for parking but we parked during the afternoon and did not then use the car. We were able to sit outside for breakfast. There was a mass of food to choose from, but not of exceptional quality/that fresh, just acceptable.

Review 5：You have to leave car on the car parking (free) short way of B&B. B&B is on the hill, so to the port there are many stairs :-D

On foot: V.F.Argento merges onto Via Stazone. At end of V.Stazone climb two terraces up to the left; You will see signs directing you to B&B Porta di Mare.

Review 15：1. The owner is not on site. I do not travel with a phone but was lucky that another guest called him for me. 2. I was driving a rental car and I honestly don't even know how I found the place. Parking is about 100 meteres away but seems safe.

Review 16：It was a very attractive place with a wonderful hospitable owner in a great location to walk around the old town area. I wished I could have stayed longer and tried to change my schedule to return but wasn't able to.

Review 17：We liked the room we had. Large and comfy bed, nice bathroom and towels. We had breakfast, it was prepared by the owner for everyone. He is a passionate cook, presented fresh, homemade course. Due to an accident with our car we arrived very late, but he was still friendly and helpful.

Review 19：I was met on the street by Michele to help me find my way and porter my bag. The location sports a fabulous view of the sea. The room was very large by Italian standards. All in all it was very charming and I would stay there again.

Review 20：The boss is very friendly, gives an excellent introduction to the B&B and an excellent, typical siciliy breakfast :) The duomo and the city center is 2 min from the B&B, the beach 15 min. Everything is cool, so we can recommend this place :)

Review 23：We didn´t like the enormous noise in the morning. Since the B&B is really small everything is close and somewhere after 7 Michele talked with guests (or friends) at the "reception" and this was directly in front of our door. It was really annoying and noisy, because they all talked the not low italian way. The house next to the B&B is currently renovated (we think by Michele himself) so there are construction works early in the morning. If you´r looking for something quite, better look for something else.

Review 24：Nice room the bathroom and the shower saw some years and could get a renewal, but we stayed only one night and didn't mind. The owner Michele is very nice and helpful and created especially for us a salty breakfast, because we wrote this in the booking form. Shops and restaurants are quite close, you can walk everywhere.

Review 26：Firstly the location was perfect - between the port and upper town. We were given a room with our own entrance which was clean and with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a mix of sweet and savoury with fresh fruit. The owners obviously took a pride in their property (and Sciacca). On the last day my boyfriend had severe food poisoning (probably an imported oyster) and we were very kindly allowed to check out late. Would happily recommend Porta di Mare (and Sciacca)

Review 54：We were welcomed very enthousiastically by Michele who appeared out of nowhere to carry up our bags to his lovely B&B. There are a lot of steps but we were able to park close by in the street below. Breakfast was excellant with delicious "svogliate di ricotta", wonderful oranges and the best pecorino Siciliano we ever tasted. When we praised the cheese, Michele offered to procure some for us. We ordered 2 kilos and he whizzed away in his car to get it-So kind! Then when I asked about the possibility of getting a hair appointment he took me down the road to a little local hairdresser place which I never would have found....We really loved Sciacca and our stay at the charming Porta di Mare. Review 55：Charging for welcoming refreshment - water. It is not obligatory and we were nicely surprised when we got some olive oil and bread and water but not so nice when we were charged for the same water. in other accommodation water was for free.

Review 71：We stayed for 2 days at B&B Porta di Mare. The owner, Michele,provided us the best customer service we have ever had during our tripin Sicily! We stayed in the room at ground floor, which is veryspacious, with a/c and with a wonderful bed. The location of theB&B is very quiet, but at the same time practically inside the citycentre of Sciacca and close to it you can have an amazing view of theharbour. Everything was good and I can only recommend it. Just a hint ifyou are using Google Maps to get to the B&B: Porta di Mare it'snot located on the street as shown, but in a sort of beautifulcourtyard. Anyway, there are several signs that can help you in findingthe place.
