Reviews for HTS Guest House Onomichi
Review 1:House is very old. So when you try to climb the stairs late at night, everyone in the house can hear you.
Review 2:Helpful and talkative owners with two cute children. Good choice for Onomichi-Imabari bicycle ride. If you an anime fun, you should watch anime "Kamichu!" before and after stay. In it you can find many places which are located nearby.
Review 3:Very quiet night as everyone stops making noise at 22.00. Central location in the arcade. Really like being in the family house, sharing their bathroom but was all fine.
Review 4:It feels like they tried to pack too much into the space they have. This means there's strange room layouts like the kitchen being directly attached to one of the sleeping areas. When it's not terribly busy (like during my stay) it is fine, but I can imagine it getting very cramped during peak seasons.
Review 5:Location was great, and despite me not speaking any Japanese, the host as able to explain everything to me.
Review 6:It was not clear that the café and guesthouse are associated.
Review 7:The guesthouse was straight on the shopping arcade, close to everything. The staff were very friendly. The cafe downstairs is excellent and serve great food.
Review 8:A nice place to crash with good facilities and a very good cafe downstairs. The owner also let me keep my bag there while I cycled across the islands. Much appreciated.
Review 9:There was NOTHING I dislike!
Review 10:- Location is near JR Onomichi, inside the old shopping street. - Prices are very affordable, with additional 500yen for breakfast - Tatami vs standard western bed to choose to sleep from - Ability to interact with other travellers especially if they share your room - Towels and toiletries are available unlike other B&B - ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE little kid for you to play with!! (Kiho is her name)
Review 11:Being a couple, we reserved the 3 person room, hoping in the worst case we'd have to share with one other person. The first night it was just the 2 of us, very quiet. The second night, they removed the sliding doors between our room and the 5 persons room and suddenly we found ourselves in a tatami group room with 6 other people. Bye bye sleep.
Review 12:This place is a place for people who love to sleep in the same room with many other people :-) The host is quite friendly. Sleeping on tatami floor is nice. The bathroom especially is very nice. Also the location is good and Onomichi is like a fairy tale.
Review 13:Location was perfect as our trip involved riding the Shimanami Kaido. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The accommodation comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay there again next time.

Review 29:Location! Inside a covered shopping street very close to the train station AND ferry. Temple walk start-point also close-by. Family owned and managed, staff was very nice and helpful. Perfect place to stay if you plan to ride the Shimanami Kaido.
Review 30:I stay 2 nights in HTS onomichi, before starting the Shimanami Kaido Road, the staff were amazing, always happy to help me and with a smile, to manage to send my bag, to find me accommodation for my trip. The guesthouse is really clean, you have everything in the Kitchen and Bathroom, there is a bar/coffee on the first floor, really good atmosphere. The location is perfect, near restaurants and bars, 100m from the old district (temple road), and 5 min walking from the train station, and bicycle rentals.Overall great value-for-money, I absolutely recommend this place
