Reviews for Hotel Italia
Review 1:Parking was off-site but within walking distance and affordable. The hotel wi-go didn't work.
Review 2:You have to want to go to Mantua to go there. This is a city, like the Hotel Italia with great but unexploited potential. Hotel Italia is ideally located in the city center which is s good thing, unfortunately, like the city center, needs an uplift.
Review 3:Toilet with running (not even dripping) water. Personel was ok, but could be more friendly Garage is a half a mile away, but easy parking
Review 4:Great location. Good wifi. Crampy room
Review 5:Difficult to get into the city and park
Review 6:Very friendly receptionist and we liked the welcome drink
Review 7:Poor breakfast in an unsuitable room - too small for the size of the hotel.
Review 8:Central location
Review 9:Hotel Itália is very well located, the bedroom is comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff very helpful
Review 10:Disco music from somewhere nearby could potentially disturb sleep at night. (Not on this occasion as it stopped at 11 pm on a very rainy day.)
Review 11:Reception staff spoke English. Friendly hotel staff. Location was convenient in town. Supermarket next door within the square. Decent, clean room with air-con - good size for solo traveller.
Review 12:The bad experience was getting locked in the bathroom. The knob contained an old, broken lock which did not open at all. Luckily, there was an emergency phone right next to the door to call down to the front desk, so I could be rescued. Non-smoking room still had the scent of smoke coming in through the vents or under the front door.
Review 13:The hotel is located in the city centre and is a short walk to the main train station. The hotel is on the main streets that lead to all of the city's attractions. The staff was extremely helpful with maps, tips for eating and the tours. The room was comfortable and rather large. Great value for the price.
Review 14:Noisy revellers out in the streets until the early hours -- possibly dueto some special event?
Review 15:Pleasant, centreally situated hotel reasonably priced.
Review 16:The lobby needs visual improvement, in part by removing unnecessary miscellaneous stuff; it gives a poor impression. The hotel could use overall redecoration, as the room decor looks tired---very cheap dark wood furniture, overly fussy curtains that therefore look limp. Nevertheless, with few tourists post-earthquake in Mantua and budget hotel prices, there's little hope of remodeling and anyway, everything was clean. There is wi-fi but only in the lobby.
Review 17:The hotel room was very clean. The mattress was excellent. The receptionist in the morning was more professional than the one later in the day, but the latter was friendly and pleasant and tried her best to speak some English when that was essential. The breakfast offerings were entirely satisfactory and the breakfast area was very clean and well kept. The location is good, between the railway station and the city center, a short, pleasant walk under arcades from the church of Sant'Andrea and the main civic square, and on the way, you pass a Grom gelateria, shops, and services.
Review 18:No English TV station..CNN or BBC world would have been nice.
Review 19:Good WiFi
