Review 1：You have to use car or taxi to reach the city center.

Review 2：Easy to reach hotel by car and free parking. The food in the restaurant is delicious and typical for the Mantova region (I can recommend to try Mantova menu). Breakfast is good.

Review 3：It was too far out of Mantova although there is a regular bus service. Fine if you have a car or are a businessman. Breakfast was all right. Air-con did not work and the safe required a new battery, but these were quickly and efficiently fixed. No restaurant on Sunday night and not nearly enough hangers for two people.

We didn't even go in, I'm afraid. Went and found somewhere in the middle of Mantua instead which was a beautiful spot in a beautiful city.

Review 24：Great facilities - everything was certainly 4 star - very secure parking. And I went to the hairdresser at La Favorita shopping centre nearby - best cut and colour I have had in ages! No appointment necessary - lovely experience.

Review 25：The location - it's only a mile (1-2km) from the centre of Mantua but might as well be on Mars if you've not got a car. There are no footpaths on the roads from the hotel until you get to the causeway over to the city. There is a bus every half hour but it stops after 8pm. The hotel is in a large out-of-town shopping and leisure area. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it is closed on Sundays. If you find yourself stuck then there is a "Roadhouse" restaurant in the complex which is open on a Sunday.

Review 28：The distantvantage starts with the wall integrated TV that the sound was very bad. Anyway, the shower has black spots. Everything looked already very used.

Review 30：The location is not really mantovani. Indeed, this hotel is situated about 3 km away from the city, in a commercial and offices area. But it takes only a few minutes by car to reach the city walls. And the hotel has ample secured parking space. Service is impeccable, as well at the reception desk , as in the bar and the restaurant. The restaurant is fine, as well for breakfast as for dinner. Rooms are large, and clean. Bed is comfortable. When we return to Mantova, we will not hesitate for a second, and return to La Favorita.

Review 31：The hotel was very clean with good facilities and lots of parking. Near a shopping centre but also quite near to Mantua centre (well worth a visit) and Thun (if you like this). Would happily stay at this hotel again in the future.

It is just fine for business travelers and for tourists with a car (assuming the driver does not drink alcohol while in town). Note that it is nearly impossible to get to the city centre on foot (>40 minutes, partly on roads with no pedestrian walkway).

Review 64：We stayed at this hotel in 2012 when it was much newer. This time we found it to be a little more worn in general. The location is still great, minutes from historical Mantova. Breakfast was nice. Very good English TV channels and a super rain shower. Great lighting in room.

Review 66：Celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary in the city where my mother lived before I was born was in itself special. But the reception we received by the hotel concierge who graciously upgraded us to a honeymoon suite, equipped with a huge bathroom and Jacuzzi was above our expectations and so appreciated. We would definitely come back here again! All the staff were sincerely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Just what we needed after a busy work schedule the past months to unwind and celebrate!

Review 67：Location but they can do nothing for that. It has its advantages too for you can easily park your car. Rooms were too hot. Due to regulations, heating was on and I slept with windows wide open.

Review 82：Smart technology was definitely smarter than us. you need a key to activate the lights, which created difficulties if one person decided to go out and the other stay in. They wouldn't give us two keys... Location is also TERRIBLE. Hard to find/enter and too far from the old city to be any fun. Nothing in the area but a mall and the hotel-had to drive for food

Review 89：Hotel is immensely modern and we felt rather like hicks in from the country, trying to sort out which switch worked what, and how to get all lights off, and how to get the bathroom door, which slid invisibly ino the wall, to open again. While the hotel is well situated for a very short drive into Mantua, it is set in a ghastly retail park with the huge hotel sign pointing towards the main road,(which you are not on) while the sat nav takes you into the retail park from which the sign is not visible, and you are left hunting through the hypermarket and sports centre looking for the hotel, so we arrived rather frazzled! Once we worked out how to get to it, it was easy. For the benefit of others, drive into the retail park, turn right in from of the sports palace, drive to the end of the road, through car parks, turn right through more car parks,to the end of the next service road, turn right again and lo and behold! the hotel is there!. Good luck! Also did not like that they could not lend us an iron, on the grounds of health and safety-in a four star hotel?

We ordereddrinks, for our party of four, and I began to read the menu. A ratherrude bar man took the menu from me and handed me a snack menu, he spokeno English, and I no Italian. When I then requested a snack I wasrefused in gesture, and when I made an enquire at the reception with anEnglish speaking member of staff, I was offered Toast. When asked forsomthing more substantial I was sent to a restaurant 5 mins walk away.On my return another coach, or group party were enjoying a buffet at thebar. The kitchens were open but for some unexplained reason not for ourparty. Very strange and not very friendly .

The hotel wasselected due to its high ratings, location, off street parking andrestuarant. Upon arrival discovered that the restuarant was closed for aprivate function and the same people were using the car park. Would havebeen nice to know in advance about the closure of the restaurant. Alsowondered why guests of the hotel are not given use of the parkingfacilities? Staff uncoperative and disinterested. Dinner was essentiallywork it out for yourself. It's always a bad sign when you check in latein the afternoon and the cleaning staff are still servicing the rooms.Ours was basically clean except the shower which had a lot of mould init. Breakfast the next morning was a shambles. A tour group who had toleave early consumed most of the food. The two staff on duty werefrantically strying to clean up after them and were not concerned inrestocking or getting the kitchen to prepare more food. Had to wait overhalf an hour for them to bring something out after repeated requests.Don't blame the staff, It looks as though the hotel is cutting costs byreducing staff numbers. I am pleased for the Booking. Com folks who havehad good experiences at this hotel but for us La Favourita is anythingbut. Will return to Mantova but won't stay here. Four star aspirations,One star service.
