Review 1：This multi-story apartment that has been in the family for generations was recently restored, painstakingly and tastefully, and turned into a wonderfully appointment B&B. The attention to detail and comfort are highly appreciated as is the charm and character of the family committed to providing genuine Calabrian hospitality. At its ‘core’ is family and this was so vividly demonstrated by Chiara’s daughter-mother relationship with Carmelita. Although a family enterprise, Chiara is the energetic dynamo behind the initiative. She is a passionate eco-tourism and socio-cultural advocate for Reggio Calabria and greater, regional Calabria. She kindly arranged a day outing hiking up the Amendolea Valley near Condofuri with members of the Gruppo Archeologico Valle Dell’ Amendolea. Chiara goes the extra with sound advice and insights into tourism and cultural/recreational opportunities, transcending interests and potential generational gaps, leaving one with a variety of well-informed options. Al fresco breakfasts in the courtyard are leisurely and a memorable sensory experience as numerous fragrant herbs such as rosemary, lavender, basil, oregano and citrus explode into the fresh morning …. already scented with freshly brewed coffee.
