Review 2：Another surprise package Marta is an Outstanding host and has a lovely little B&B in the Hills just out of Lucea. Probably best to have a car for this destination and the driving in the Tuscan country side is fabulous

Review 3：Our good fortune led us by chance to Marta's place. If you plan to visit Italy don't miss this place. It's not only the amazing house and the lovely hospitality, but the assistance and willingness to help with information and communication with the locals, that made the rest of our trip so successful.

Review 4：The guest shoud be informed that there lives also 3 cats. They are not disturbing but a lot of people have allergy on animal fur and this could be a real problem. Otherwise the cats are totally calm and not effect on cleanliness.

Review 5：Kind hostess Marta and her son Georgio, tried to satisfy all wishes of their guests. Give us a lot of turistic, very practical informations. The house is very interesting villa with inner decor, reminding on old times but very nice equipment. Nearby Lucca is just 10 min. with the car and no problems with parking there (ask your hosts).

Review 9：Travelling by bus has some limits with this location as the buses are set up to serve the local community so last bus out of Lucca is at 7:40pm. The days we had a car, this was not an issue - close to everything but still out in the country.

Review 10：The breakfasts were wonderful - wide range of options and new selections everyday - delicious Very welcoming staff and keen to help with planning trips, places to eat, and problem solving. The guesthouse has been completely renovated and is true to the period in which it was built - furnishings to match. Wonderful grounds to relax in.

Review 12：Martha and her family are super nice, welcoming and helpful. The guesthouse is a beautiful little villa situated in a small, quiet village a short drive from both Lucca and Pisa. Homemade foods and delicious coffee for breakfast which is served by Martha to the sounds of Paolo Conte - if weather permits outdoors in the lovely garden. Our room was fair sized and cozy and facing the terrace which gets sun virtually all day long.

A traditional Toscany breakfast with homemade specialities..& Martha's cakes just délicious!!! Will definatly go back on our next visit to Toscany!

Review 16：It was somewhat difficult to get around, as we did not have a car with us, and the buses were sparse. Luckily Marta and Giorgio helped us out.

Marta and her son Giorgio was extremely helpful and nice, and the rooms were cool enough, due to the thick stone walls and stone floor, even though there was no aircondition.

Marta provided very helpful and detailed advice about the area and where to park in Lucca as well as advice about Pisa. She also suggested scenic routes in the area as an alternative to the motorways. We would love to go back.

The villa isfull of memorabilia from Marta's life and travels. The rooms arepristine, with lovely sheets and towels. Very, very clean. Breakfast wasmemorable...wonderful local tastes and home-made delicacies, accompaniedif desired by Marta's touring recommendations. She made excellentsuggestions...got us off the wretched tourist trail and especiallymemorable was her recommended restaurant 'Cecca', patronized bylocals and no tourists. Heaven. Heavenly food too. We will recommendMarta to friends, and all...it is a short drive into Lucca and a muchmore pleasant setting to stay in than our next accommodation on theLucca border which was very disappointing. Marta is dedicated to makingher guests comfortable ....bravo!

Marta's villa is located an easy short 10 km drive from Lucca with onsite parking. The breakfast was the best we had in our 4 week tour around France & Italy. Beautiful. Even the towels & bedlinen were good quality cotton. We would certainly return to Marta's if ever again in Lucca. We can definitely recommend a stay at Marta Guest House.
