Reviews for JUFA Hotel Wien

Review 1:Arrived late and we spent only night leaving very early morning - as what I saw I was not sure about surrounding during the day. But cannot evaluate properly...

Review 2:Comfortable rooms for price you pay, easy parking etc.

Review 3:Rooms very hot even with air con.

Review 4:Good price. Clean, good size room. Only 5min walk to trains into city centre takes about 15mins very easy. Great hotel for a family. I would stay here again.

Review 5:We booked double bed but they do not have double beds! The receptionist gave us some metal item to join the beds, it was ok but still we prefer double beds

Review 6:It is still quite new hotel so everything is new and nice, cleaning every day, good breakfast.

Review 7:The friendly staff. They had no problem opening up the dining room for breakfast a half an hour earlier (we had a flight to catch) and ordering a taxi for us on the day we left to come back home. Their efforts were greatly appreciated.

Review 8:Absolutely wonderful hotel, great for children of all ages. The neighborhood is quiet and the hotel is 5 minutes away from the U Bahn, which means that it's 25 minutes away from the center of Vienna. Staff was lovely. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful. If we go to Vienna again, we would definitely stay at Jufa.

Review 9:That is a very good and comfortable eco friendly hotel for families with kids. There are a lot and secure place for kids to play. Even the floor was warm and clean all over the lobby so kids was running with socks only! The restorant is very good also! Everybody was very friendly! Thank you!

Review 10:I booked a room a week ahead, but when we arrived to the hotel, they couldn't find our reservation. Luckily, the hotel wasn't full, so we got the same room as the one I booked.

Review 11:-very well designed hotel -quite close to the underground station (and very close to the bus stop) -quite calm locality -comfy beds and nice rooms

Review 12:- greed of check-out: in 11:00! - hotel totally closed for check-in in night time from 01:00 till 05:00 AM without any reliability to enter(even you had hotel key) and reception that unreachable by phone. - dangerous micro-location at night time.

Review 13:- nice budgeting hotel for traveling to Vienna. - very close to airport with public transport.

Review 14:I have been very seriously disappointed because I asked the receptionist to book a taxi to the airport. Result was an "black" taxi, with no meter, no receipt and a ridiculously expensive cost. Tried to negotiate unsuccessfully. It seemed to be the part of the cake was for the hotel receptionist. Very unfair and disappointing.

Review 15:-

Review 16:Staff was very kindely, the rooms was very clean with modern furniture and also very confortable bed. toilet is separated by shower. Free parking near hotel, very close by subway station.

Review 17:I had to pay the price of the hotel right after the cheking. ( That was not so last year, when I in this hotel slept. ) Did a lot of guest escape before cheking out and paying their invoices? I felt a little bit humiliated to pay before the service.

Review 18:Actually nothing problem without one.

Review 19:Personal do not know some answer for the questions. E.g. Why they apply tax when you pay by cash opposite card payment where the tax was missing on the bill.

Review 20:The hotel, although close to a subway station, isn't near the city center.

Review 21:Staff; size of the rooms; breakfast and dinner; located at a quiet neighbourhood.

Review 22:Great and modern hotel with spacious rooms, good service and friendly staff. It is in walking distance of metro and it is possible to park free on the street very close to the hotel.

Review 23:All the hotel information in the room was in German...so that was a little inconvenient...and the breakfast buffet was a little too expensive for the quality.

Review 24:We had a spacious room and a very comfy bed.

Review 25:Difficult time finding it at night walking with suitcases. No sign visible to locate the hotel. No employee at the reception desk at 4:30 in the morning when we were checking out.

Review 26:clean comfortable beds

Review 27:The room was extremely small for 4 people and some staff at the reception desk had no idea what they were doing

Review 28:The breakfast was amazing and the hotel very modern

Review 29:Paid parking, a little overpriced Location almost outside of the city, close to the airport, convenient for the last night before flight

Review 30:Comfortable room and bathroom Reasonable price

Review 31:Room was tiny in space. Toilet and bathroom were separated. No basic room facilities

Review 32:The design of the reception and lobby areas was awesome. Very quite location of hotel

Review 33:I have been there multiple times in different rooms across the building. Internet connection is really lousy. Veeeeeery slow and unstable. Skype will not work.

Review 34:Clean rooms, friendly staff, good rates, city center accessible in +/- 25 minutes.

Review 35:Poor wifi in the room but in the lobby it's ok.

Review 36:Superb breakfast. Very clean rooms. Modern hotel and neighbourhoud. Parking in the street is free but can be difficult to find. 5 minute walk to subway and a 20 minute ride to city center.

Review 37:No electric kettle in the room. Gusts not allowed to bring in cars to the portico even for disembarking. So be prepared to get down from your taxi on the road and drag your baggage in.Absolutely poker faced front office staff. Only one lady in attendance so be prepared to wait long for check in...

Review 38:A very basic room

Review 39:I had to use microwave and some staff said there was absolutely no microwave, only big one. However the next day I found there was in the caffe. so some friendly staff helped me to use it.

Review 40:clean towels hmm

Review 41:WiFi reception was terrible. Brakefast is apart from your booking, but it's worth it.

Review 42:It was easy to find, staff friendly, room was spotless and the beds where comfortable.

Review 43:Very noisy. The people above us were stamping all night and we complained several times this was throught the duration of our whole stay. The ceilings need to be more isolated. Electricty plugs stopped working on our last day.

Review 44:Spacious, nice staff

Review 45:Initially hard to find. Recommend pdf map on hotel website or directions from metro station as it is close by. Breakfast starts too late.

Review 46:Easy access to metro.

Review 47:This hotel has rooms for families with 5 members at a very vonvenient price. The cleaness and aspect of the hotel is awesome. Highly recommended choice!!

Review 48:A little difficult to find when driving, but nothing that cannot be overcome

Review 49:Great location near metro station. Parking is available on site. The staff is very helpful.

Review 50:Rooms on out floor devided by the wooden door between, our neighbour (young couple) had a child that cried every morning since 5:30 am which was rather disturbing. Izby na našom poschodí boli oddelené/ spojené drevenými dverami medzi. Mladá dvojica s dieťaťom vo vedľajšej izbe mala malé dieťa, ktoré plakalo každé ráno, čo nás vždy všetkých zobudilo. Naša izba bola prepojená (oddelená)

Review 51:Young hotel with young clients. Simple, clean, moren, close to the centre (5 min by metro). Mladý hotel s mladou klientelou. Jednoduchý, čistý, blízko centra (5min metro), moderné okolie.

Review 52:The bed is too soft, and they only have big pillows.

Review 53:I can only sleep on small pillows, but they didn't have any. I asked the guy at the reception after midnight, and he was really helpful, and in the 3rd storage room he finally found one for me :) Staff at the hotel is great.

Review 54:The staff was not very helpful, they did not seem to know much aboutVienna and the main attractions. The location was a little bit outof the way.

Review 55:We liked the spacious room and the cleanliness overall. The metro stationwas only a few minutea walk from the hotel.

Review 56:Receptionist has forgotten to give me notice about car evacuation from the hotel. I suppose about adjusted " business" of the hotel and the service of evacuation.

Review 57:Parking on the street is sometimes difficult to find - but there is always an option to use hotel parking for 12 euro/day. Be aware this is far from center, so you'll need car or use public transportation.

Review 58:Clean rooms, 4 beds in a room - excellent for families with children. Breakfast for extra price, but worth it - we paid 29 euro for family of 4. Not in the center, but with car this was not a problem. Use only as sleeping location, nothing to do in the area.

Review 59:internet is a bit painful. Bandwidth not too great and frequent reconnects required

Review 60:Good value for money. For tourism, subway and tramway to city centre is close by.

Review 61:The room was a bit dusty, however the toilet and the shower were perfectly clean. There was some noise during the day from the yard and the patio, but not very significant.

Review 62:Helpful staff. The place is very friendly for children, there are playrooms and toys. There is a buffet that is good value for money.

Review 63:Rooms are a bit like a hostel, no luxury at all, but very clean and comfortable.

Review 64:Pretty close to the Metro, so it was easy to explore the city. AC worked great.

Review 65:The personnel was not friendly at the reception. They also asked to leave my mobile or cash for billiard balls or table tannis set at the reception as caution. I did not liked the location, next to a quite poor environment. They charged the usage of the car parking , however my understanding was that this is included in the price.

Review 66:The confort and the style of the room was fine. New furniture and clean. Metro is close.

Review 67:- internet was working only in the hall, while in the room was totally absent.

Review 68:- really spacious room; - air conditioned; - huge shower; - really clean; - cozy main hall; -internal parking; - location near the metro.

Review 69:the wifi signal in the room was very weak, the outdoor playground is very small and poor

Review 70:spacious hall way, good breakfast, very comfortable beds and nicely arranged rooms, indoor playroom for kids

Review 71:Restaurant meal was somewhat overpriced for what was on offer.

Review 72:Close, but not too close to the airport. Basic accommodation in an interesting residential area. Close to train and shops.

Review 73:Nothing.

Review 74:Everything was wonderful. Plenty of space in the room. Air conditioning was amazing. Breakfast had many choices and was very fresh. Everyone at the reception desk was extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 75:The internet was very slow, and at some times of the day, nearly impossible to use.

Review 76:Although the room was small for 4 adults, it was well laid out with lots of storage space.

Review 77:No room service, No telephone between the rooms, No one to take your luggage upstairs, the wifi is bad,and no refrigerator. This hotel can be the best if these things were available.

Review 78:The Best hotel for kids. overall 8.8/10. The area is so quiet.

Review 79:Parking is charged. But i guess that is the case in Vienna Location maybe is a bit far off from main attractions. But had no issue as train system is very good.

Review 80:Family friendly hotel. Lotsa options for kids Rooms were clean and nice Food was good with many options, unlike my stay in other hotels in Europe Train station a 10 minute walk Best hotel we stayed in Europe in this tour

Review 81:Minor but we could never seem to find someone to help us at the small bar in the lobby. The toilet room had an odd smell, and there was no fan in the shower room.

Review 82:Basic hotel in a quiet location with the metro station about a 5-minute walk away. Cleaning staff provided fresh towels daily (even though we hung ours up every day). Nice clean shower. A/C and wifi not the best. Hotel staff arranged a taxi to the airport for us on our last day there.

Review 83:Terrible night - this hotel is aimed at families, but no-one considered that kids make noise... The walls between rooms are thin, and in our case, there was additionally a door between our room and a neighbouring one. And behind the wall - it seemed like a out-of-control army of kids of all ages was having a war. The noise lasted untill midnight. Since there is no phone in the room - we could neither easily contact the neighbours nor the reception to ask for intervention.

Review 84:Wide breakfast choice, with fresh bread. Location - 5 mins from metro station, around 20 mins ride to the center.

Review 85:- qeue on check-in at 9PM - 10 minutes waiting being first in qeue. - small noise from coridors, but not important.

Review 86:- spacy room - good breakfest - price

Review 87:The location is far from the city center, but we had known that.

Review 88:We stay there only 1 day and there is nothing to complain. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 89:The price didn't include breakfast.

Review 90:The beds were comfortable and clean. AC was available. The bathroom and toilet were clean and very nice soap provided. Safe box available. We were basically comfortable. Parked for free outside, and trains available very close by.

Review 91:Unfriendly front office Charged us for additionally for Taxes when they were already paid for in the booking. No phone in the rooms so there was no way to reach us in our rooms even when our visitors were downstairs

Review 92:Located close to Train station

Review 93:internet was disconnecting for some reason, we noticed spoiled cucumbers in salad counter at breakfast !

Review 94:New hotel with brand new feel. 10 min walk to Wien metro. Big comfortable room with fridge. nice shower. Lot of space. kids indoor and outdoor playground.

Review 95:We checked in on Friday evening. The AC wasn't working. They kept saying it was working and we were wrong. Then they said their maintenance staff has left for the day so nothing can be done till Monday morning. When we put our foot down. After 4 hours they changed rooms. The AC malfunctioned again after a few days. They asked us to open the window as the weather was great and AC was not needed. The front desk staff is very very abusive and misbehaved everytime we approach. The buffet was horrible.

Review 96:Nothing at all

Review 97:Pillows. Blankets too warm for summer. There were no free parking so we had to use garage and pay for it.

Review 98:Room size and facilities (comfy and big enough for 2 adults and 3 kids). Quiet area. Supermarket and children's playground (climbing wall) nearby. Metro 5 mins away, line U3, 9 stops to Stephansplatz.

Review 99:Staff didn't seem very trained Internet didn't work for several days Not much going on in that area

Review 100:Ask clean and proper, plenty of facilities

Review 101:No water kettle / mini bar / refrigirator in room.

Review 102:The lobby is big and kids can ride bobby cars. Kids play room, bar is open 24hrs. bBilding is new and clean. 5 mins walking distance to underground station. 10 mins Metro ride to city center (Stephansplatz).

Review 103:Not having facilities to make a drink in your room and no English channels on the TV

Review 104:Location of hotel was only five minutes walk from the train station

Review 105:The wifi system is not a frendly one and sometimes didn't worked propely. If you plan to stay more days in Vienna and you want to visit the town, the hotel is located a little far a way from the downtown.

Review 106:The common spaces, big, proper comfortable. The personal from the restaurant and bars is really profesional. The parking at the hotel, the breakfast and the room are OK.

Review 107:Room was nice and large but air conditioning didn't work so well. No instructions about keeping window closed or else it will shut off. No telephone to desk in the room so I had to go back to reception about why the ac stopped working when the window was opened. No instructions on the free wifi. When you log in you have to provide a phone number but difficult to get to work I was not successful. Again if there was a phone in the room I could have called the front desk but didn't bother. I was told when I checked out that there was a code that they would give for foreign visitors to log in. It would have been helpful if the front desk had informed me when I checked in but they didn't provide any info. When I checked out at 8:00 am in the morning which is normally prime checkout time, there was no one at the front desk waited about 6 minutes for someone from another area in the hotel came over. There were several employees walking around but no one came over to check me out. Finally about 10 minutes later the front desk clerk finally showed up from another area of the hotel not from the back of the desk area. Maybe she went to the ladies room but certainly the front desk should not have been left unattended. The hotel is on a small residential area so you can't see it from the road. There is a small sign pointing to a garage if you have a car. You have to push the speaker button to get them to open the garage door. Once you drive in go straight and you have to take a ticket to go through the gate to park in the garage for the hotel, then you will see the doors to the elevator for reception.

Review 108:Nice large room

Review 109:We put a "please do not disturb" sign on the doors but staff came in the room to clean

Review 110:Comfortable beds, very clean, easy walking distancce to tube & supermarket, lots of toys and board games around

Review 111:Due to the street construction works in the district, it was a little bit difficult to find the hotel. More sign would be helpfull.

Review 112:Nice staff, clean room, u-bahn station within a few min.

Review 113:The power outlet was not placed perfectly. (For charging phone/tablet from bed.) An armchair would be more comfortable. I did nnot found power outlet in the bathroom for shaver.

Review 114:Was there for business, and did not appreciate having to wait several hours to get internet access.

Review 115:Easy access to/from the highway, well connected with city center, quiet, and quite comfortable.

Review 116:Wifi exists, but only in theory. If you want to actually use wifi, likein organized it conference, forget about it! Avoid this hotel for itconferences until they fix wifi. It is very unstable (breaks everyminute or two), slow, under-capacited for larger it groups of visitors. Moreover, to use it, you must enter very long username and passwordrepeatedly every minute, because when it breaks you must type all ofthat again - very annoying and user unfriendly (tried with iPhone 6).Hospitality at the reception desk is not very high. For example, I tooka 24h parking card. I had to wait 15 minutes because only one personworks at reception, and she told me that I cannot pay now (10h earlierthan 24h passed) because I must pay exactly before I leave. No words"apologize, I am sorry" etc, but words like "youmust" etc. And no smile, not even trying to fake a smile. So, I hadto wait another 15 minutes a bit later, a total of 30 minutes, just topay the parking ticket. And there were not many people in a row in frontof me, maybe 4-5. Conclusion: forget about wifi, they do not have it(only declarative), and the staff at the reception is not very kind.

Review 117:It is clean, well designed hotel. New building, has own garage(10eur per day). Rooms are extra secured because hallways must beunlocked first.

Review 118:It's little bit far from the city centre, but there's a metro station in a 10 minutes walk.

Review 119:The hotel is really big, comfortable and clean. The staff is really helpfull and the breakfast is amazing. The wifi works perfectly and the room is very comfortable.

Review 120:The free wifi was not very good. Also it does not keep you logged in and every time, to log on, you have to type a huge amount of numbers and letters.

Review 121:Nice and friendly staff, very good environment, excellent breakfast and comfort in bed.

Review 122:I struggled to connect to the wifi and there was no soap in the shower only at the basin.

Review 123:The staff were very kind and helpful. Room was neat, quiet and comfortable.

Review 124:cozy rooms, pillows - wow! I have never slept so good! kind and welcoming stuff, perfect location, metro station only 5min walk, nice lobby, we were a group of friends so we spent every evening in a hotel cafe, where you can get a really good espresso or a glass of beer. It is very clean, warm, heating is splendid! Thanks for enjoyable stay! Choose Jufa, you wont regret!

Review 125:It seemed to me that the breakfast was decent, but overrated in the presentations. Marketing is good, but if it creates higher expectations than...it may be dissapointing. I didn't like the payment of the parking for the guests.

Review 126:I believe that overall value for money was fair.

Review 127:Ample free parking space out on the street. 5-minute walking distance to the U-bahn - no need to drive to the city center. Spacious room, nice beds. Hotel very family oriented

Review 128:-Free private parking was promised. But without any notice or informing charged 4.80 euro per day. - Very bad reception staff. Not even interested to explain change in parking conditions. - Very bad customer support.

Review 129:Can't think of 1...

Review 130:How does a kid friendly hotel not have any kids channels available on the room TV? The bathroom garbage can, which I ended up filling with diapers, had no foot pedal and the worst handle. Every time I had to throw something out I had to pry the top of the can off. The location was OK. Not in the city center, and the train ride was not too long to get into town. The WiFi was horrible. Most of the time we couldn't get our devices to connect, and each time we did, the connection would timeout quickly. It was so bad I ended up buying my plan's data package instead.

Review 131:Kids playroom was great, there was a kids area in the dining room and lots of kid friendly utensils and high chairs.

Review 132:We asked about the wifi connection protocol and were told a story about introducing the phone no and receiving a password etc. Of course this was not the procedure. IN the morning we found out that username and password were preset and available at reception. We wounder if the night staff from the reception did this on purpose or because of incompetence!

Review 133:Although cleaners of the hotel came to the rooms everyday, floors were not cleaned.

Review 134:The hotel is very comfortable and nice. Although it is a little bit away from the city center, metro is so close.

Review 135:- many children, so sometimes might be noisy - no free parking, don't mind "free parking" announcements

Review 136:- comfortable, clean and new furnished rooms - open buffet breakfast was good but not cheap - helpful staff - cosy lobby

Review 137:* The floor was dusty - my black socks became gray, while I was walking inside the room. * I think someone has been smoking in some of the other bathrooms, and 2 days in a row we could smell it in our room. * The area looks like some industrial zone (although it wasn't that scary) * I booked initially this hotel mostly because of the free parking ... and when I arrived, they met me with the unpleasant news that starting from the day before, the parking is paid, therefore I had to dump the car on the small street in front. * The dinner was so-so. At the day we had dinner in the hotel, there were very few choices of meals and the dessert was a bit unusual. In other words, if you have picky taste, it might be risky to rely on the local menu. * The pool was broken so we couldn't play, the table tennis was with some extremely bad balls and table and technically it wasn't possible to play. In a few words - they have some indoor games, but very few were really available.

Review 138:The room was quiet, spacious and well equipped. It is 5 minutes walking from the nearest metro station. The breakfast was around 10 euros, but it was rich and delicious (way much better than the dinner).

The Fine Print
