Reviews for Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae

Review 1:The hotel doesnt have private parking, the parking available is within 200m distance.

Review 2:The location in front of Okayama station and near shopping area, the staff were friendly, and provide amneties for children

Review 3:This is a great chain of hotels in every way. Daiwa Roynet Okayama is located next to the station, lots of great restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious, really clean and comfortable. We had an internal room which we liked as we could open the window, but there was no street noise. We hope to get back to Okayama one day and will choose this hotel for our next stay.

Review 4:The entrance is not obvious. The hotel occupies 5th floor upwards of the building with a signage showing name of the hotel. There's an entrance on the ground floor where one takes elevator to the hotel. Name of the hotel was stated on one side of the wall to the entrance. We missed that and went around the building. Eventually, we asked a security guard at a shop on the ground floor for the hotel entrance. It could help if hotel name is shown clearly at the ground floor entrance eg state on the wall opposite the entrance.

Review 5:Good location, just a few minute walk to the Okayama JR station. There's a big shopping mall below the hotel selling electronic products. Room is relatively spacious and clean. Good value for money

Review 6:I would choose a twin room next time as the bed is located against the wall.

Review 7:Comfortable room, interesting view, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Location was very convenient for rail travel day trips, and the Kibi Plain bike route. Underground access to railway and department stores was a novelty for us.

Review 8:Clean. Good amenities. Wonderful staff. Conveniently located just across the street from Okayama Station. I would stay there again on my next visit to Okayama.

Review 9:First arrival via the big shopping gallery, as it was obvous for people near the railway station. The main entry is not visible from the station, and not indicated. Some noise from the room above our's.

Review 10:Very easy to have some trips around Okayama with train, local or regional.

Review 11:The breakfast is mostly Japanese, but filling enough.

Review 12:I always stay at this hotel when visiting Okayama. The location is fabulous (only a few minutes' walk from the station and on the tram line for exploring the city), the rooms are clean and comfortable and it has a coin laundry on site. There's free wifi as well.

Review 13:Window had frosted glass and was obstructed by structural members.

Review 14:Very convenient location across from the station. Our room was large! Very good Japanese breakfast.

Review 15:Wasn't aware that light turned off automatically in 15 seconds unless you left key in light switch so was difficult to see. Also no Kleenex box available to remove makeup.

Review 16:Convenient location, courteous staff, cleanliness, large selection of breakfast buffet.

Review 17:It was a great location, conveniently across the street from the Station. There are a few food options on the same floor as the hotel lobby, and under the hotel is an electronic store if you needed anything like batteries or just shopping in general. It is also a 30 minute walk to the Okayama Castle and Kōraku-en.

Review 18:We asked for a NON SMOKING room and got an ex SMOKING room which is probably worst. We were to tired that night to change.I tried to contact hotel through booking but no answer so just BEWARE

Review 19:Great room with comfortable bed.Great location

Review 20:usual check-in rules apply. Interior rooms have no view to airshaft (frosted glass)

Review 21:good location, nice facilities. room was large for japanese hotel standards

Review 22:Right across road from station, exceptionally clean and well-appointed. Very large and comfortable room, with drinks vending machines and microwave room right across the passage. Large supermarket a few doors away.

Review 23:Location excellent across the road from the station. We were basically just using Okayama as a stop over, so just wanted somewhere to sleep. Small weird shape room but had everything, we were also able to get the room down to a nice cool temperature(not that easy in Japan!).

Review 24:It's great when you find the entrance: hotel is on top of a Bic Camera shop (reception on Floor 5) and entrance does not look like a hotel. But this is quite common in Japan.

Review 25:Just opposite the JR Station and the tram stop for Koraku-en Garden. Spacious room. Japanese breakfast experience.

Review 26:If you're claustrophobic you won't like opening the blinds and seeing a wall. We found it no problem for a night or two.

Review 27:I think we paid about $100/nt including breakfast for two. Our room had a king size bed, couch, loveseat really, and a desk. The window looked out into a very tight space between two buildings and you couldn't see the sky, but hey, not everything's perfect. There are 3 washer/dryers on the floor. I needed those. By far the best value on our trip. I'd definitely stay at Daiwa Roynet property again. Although it was a super value, the service and people are 5 star.

Review 28:We don't have any negative comment. We waked up early to take a train to Hiroshima. A very convenient hotel for an ivernught stay.

Review 29:Between Osaka and Hiroshima, we spent one evening in Okayama to visit Naoshima. We arrived early in the morning, walked out the station and accross the street and we left our luggage in the hotel (too early to check in). We went back to the station and took the train to Uno to catch the ferry for Naoshima.

Review 30:Breakfast is mostly Japanese with only a few western options.

Review 31:Great location very close to the station. Rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. Check in and out is very easy. Free wifi. Love having a laundry at the hotel.

Review 32:Perfect location, i rather say BEST!. its just 2-mins walk from the OKAYAMA Sta. We had a big room with nice city view. comfy bedding,Overall feeling of stay was simply perfect.

Review 33:Fantastic location (opposite JR station), huge room that had been nicely cleaned. No noise at all in room even though it was close to train station. Great staff.

Review 34:The street is very noisy and the windows are not thick enough so we hear all the noise also, at breakfast there are some european food (croissant, bread) but they are supermarket products and were served one by one which we found a bit petty, also some of them were served still frozen !!

Review 35:The superior room is huge and thus very nice the location is practical

Review 36:The breakfast wasn't as good as I expected. If you are into Japanese food, sure, but I wouldn't have minded more fruit or salad options.

Review 37:This hotel has an excellent location. The room we had was quite big, and there was enough room to keep our suitcases open on the floor.

Review 38:Nothing

Review 39:We were staying at Okayama so we could go on day trips to Naoshima island ( about 1hr by train then 20 mins by boat). The hotel is located right across from the Okayama station and is close to many restaurants.

Review 40:The location of the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama Ekimae was excellent, very conveniently located near the station. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I'd happily stay here again.

Review 41:Such a comfortable hotel. The location is right across from the station and there is an underground entrance also. The 830 yen breakfast is fantastic, the massages divine and the laundry service excellent. There is also a Saizeriya right next door open to 2am. The best hotel stay I have had in over 8 trips to Japan. Thank you.

Review 42:As your average business hotel in Japan, the room feels a bit claustrophobic, but every is arranged in the most though-out way to maximize the available space. Lack of human charm.

Review 43:Facing the main station in Okayama and the city's busiest thoroughfare, its location couldn't be more convenient. Breakfast was delicious and very authentic.

Review 44:Rooms tending on the small side but if it's just for resting then they were sufficient. No designated area to park car to drop off luggage for check-in so if you drive, you will need to find a spot along the street or side lanes.

Review 45:Very close to the train station, also with plenty of parking options (we had a car) nearby ranging from 660yen to 1000yen per night. Rooms are clean and tidy We requested for a quiet room and was provided with a room facing away from the street (no views but that was fine for us) - it was quiet and had very good sleep for the 2 nights we stayed. Bed was comfortable Although rooms tend to be small, they are good value for money. We had 2 rooms amongst 3 people. Good selection of restaurants bustling with locals just across the street. I believe it is a short bus ride to Okayama castle

Review 46:Bad breakfast if you're not Japanese. Getting a peace of bread was a real fight, not able to provide a simple knife. Egg come raw, forget about having it cooked any way. - noisy surrounding, at last till 23pm -sad room

Review 47:-room was big enough for Japan

Review 48:For some unknown reason, the air condition does not go on during SOME afternoons and the window can be opened only partially making for a somewhat hot room. Our stay was for only 2 days so we did not pursue this issue.

Review 49:The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the train station. If rain, use the underground shopping mall passage way from the train station to the hotel's basement level elevator and vice versa. The room rate was fairly reasonable. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Review 50:Staff hardly spoke English. Only Japanese breakfast, no Continental. The hotel catered for Japanese business people, not foreign tourists. Reception on 5th floor, no lounge, rooms on higher floors. No dining room for tourists.

Review 51:There was a subway from the station to the hotel, so it was great when it was raining. Convenient for transport

Review 52:To check in and get the room key, you need to use a kiosk machine in the lobby. There was no view from the window, since it was frosted. There is a big step up to enter the bathroom.

Review 53:1 minute walk to the JR Station. Okay sized room that was quiet and comfortable. Staff was nice. You can't access the hotel from the BIC store before 10 am. Good value for the money.

Review 54:We stayed overnight because we couldn't get to Takamatsu because of a Tyfoon. A perfect stay here for one night. Right across the station, friendly staff, nice and clean rooms and good wifi. Would recommend this hotel.

Review 55:The hotel lobby is on 5th floor of the building. Need to look out for the entrance from the street. For the underground station, take hotel lift down to B1, follow the signs to station. The signs are less conspicuous in the reverse direction.

Review 56:Large room, very clean, has underground connection to Okayama station

Review 57:The stuff doesn't speak English .

Review 58:Great location, a minute from the train station. Clean and comfi. The entrence is on the fifth floor above the bic camera store.

Review 59:It would be more convenient if the staffs speak English.. I could hardly let them understood when I needed something.

Review 60:Paying for accommodation by machine was very quick and easy.

Review 61:the room is a bit smaller than expected but it is still very good

Review 62:Location is gd, 5 mins walk from JR station. the street next to the hotel has a lot of resaturants which open til the midnight.

Review 63:The location, near the station: the room, large, clean, the japanesebreakfast with many choices, nice quality. The person at the receptionwas really sympathetic and helpful. We recommend to visit the Korakuen garden, wonderful.

Review 64:The room is standard Japanese room size (smallish, compact). I'm not sure how comfortable my >6' friends would feel in the bathroom or if I could have comfortably spread out in the room with a full suitcase of clothing if I was staying a week or more. On the other hand, I did ask for the smallest and least expensive room on offer!

Review 65:The hotel is a very short walk from the train station and a lot of shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was attentive, with decent English and the room was perfect size for me as a small, lone traveler with one back pack. In all, it was a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Review 66:none that i can think of!

Review 67:very good location. Its above BIC camera, on the 5th floor. across the main train station. Nice rooms, very spacious, good amenities.

Review 68:We had breakfast outside as it was less expensive. Five minutes walk from the hotel.

Review 69:Hotel well situated near Tokyo Dome and subway/train connections. The hotel is very quiet with a friendly personal. We stayed 5 nights. Good place if you want to visit Tokyo during your vacation. We had one dinner at the hotel and the food was very good, a little bit expensive, but worth the case. I love Tokyo and his people. Wish to return one day !

Review 70:Japanese breakfast with few European options.

Review 71:The place is completely renovated and just in front of the railway station. Okayama is not a very big city so it is very convenient location for day trips. We got many small presents. Restaurants in the same building were nice and a sushi bar is just round the corner in a shopping gallery. Room size was very decent. Sound isolation of the room was excellent. Very quiet despite of being next to the Main Street.

Review 72:washing machine

Review 73:location & breakfast was really good.

Review 74:Entrance is a bit difficult to spot from train station.

Review 75:Like its location next to eatery, train station, and shopping.

Review 90:Nil

Review 91:Location across the station

Review 92:location from train and comfort

Review 93:Opposite train station and bus stop.

Review 94:but the room given to me was 'inside' room, that's without a real window that can see the view of the surrounding area at night.

Review 95:Parking is 2 streets away, not that convenient

Review 96:Convenient locstion

Review 97:All best stay in Japan , when you value price and comfort

Review 104:very good price for a stay if you are having a trip around Himeji , Okayama and Kurashiki .

Review 105:very close to okayama station

Review 114:Convenient to take JR trains and trams in city.

Review 115:Nice place at very convenient location. Excellent quality at surprising price.

Review 116:We booked for three non smoking rooms but we had rooms with a Strong and persistent smell of cigarette lasting for the whole stay...
