Reviews for Sauna and Capsule Hotel Hollywood
Review 1:Breaks all stereotypes against capsule hotels. Clean, comfortable, well-located, helpful staff. Japanese speakers may be more comfortable around though, since I spoke Japanese to the staff, I cannot evaluate their English.
Review 2:Clean, convenient and spa bath on site. Also some reviews said it was a noisy evening etc, no more disturbing than any other dorm I know. In fact less so as no one was rustling through plastic bags!!
Review 3:As with any capsule hotels, it was a bit difficult to sleep at first, but overall nothing wrong.
Review 4:Extremely close to the station and near all major shopping and dinning locations. Fantastic baths, sauna, and relaxation areas. The staff were also very efficient and competent.
Review 5:Definitely the best capsule I've stayed in. Staff is helpful and quick. I've stayed many times. As long as you know what to expect in a capsule you should have no surprises. I'd skip the breakfast though.
Review 6:A very special location. You have to be acquainted with japanese habits, otherwise you will feel lost! Very strict rules, which enable to run the hotel in this manner! A good experience.
Review 7:- analog radio in my sleeping cabin was detuned and really loud and noisy. I could not change loudness if detuned. Have not tuned it and switched it off immediately as I did not want to wake up others. TV is a good alternative, though, with normal public broadcasts.
Review 8:- location: I just needed a cheap place to sleep as I was shuttling to Hiroshima for ceremony - funny experience with a raw egg (I was really surprised when I wanted to peel it!) which seems to belong to a typical Japanese breakfast: raw egg plus soy sauce on top of rice - onsen: one hot, one medium (whirlpool), one ice cold. - Sauna is huge, nearly as huge as all of the onsen part of the bath. - Bath not crowded when I was in (5a.m. and 8a.m.) - unlimited towel supply and shorts for free use. - Free drinking water, plus ice.
Review 9:This is realy a place to try it for fun/experience. I mean for the capsule hotels, because of the other guest's snorring tournament you wont sleep anything.
Review 10:The onsen was very great. The staff was really helpfull even if we couldnt talk with google translate
Review 11:I'm not used to bathing with other naked men. I thought I should try it for the Japanese experience, but still prefer private shower.
Review 12:Wifi is reasonably fast. Staff was friendly and very polite. Great location. Just in front of Okayama station.
Review 13:I didn't slept correctly because the air conditioner was too loud
Review 14:It's nice place for who have no big expectations and what to try a capsule hotel
Review 15:There are no vending machines; there's a restaurant though. Bathing facilities seemed a little small for such a big center (never packed but sometimes full/almost full).
Review 16:This might be the best capsule hotel I've stayed at in Japan. Location, price, and basic amenities are the best for sure. Large storage lockers available. Pretty clean!
Review 17:Breakfast very basic. No western style breakfast. However, it is japan, so not surprising. Still disappointed, though.
Review 18:Great Onsen and conveniently located on the same floor as check-in.
Review 19:Between 12pm to 5pm the capsules are cleaned out so they can't be used by guests. The sauna and baths where naked men walk around exposed freely is not my thing. Im not into Japanese food; which the restaurant only provided, but there are plenty of eateries in the city. If you're into Japanese traditions then this it. In the mornings, alarms from other guests start to go off which be a nuisance.
Review 20:Price was cheaper than other hotels in the area. Very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. It was close to Okayama station and attractions. Lounges to relax and take a nap while the capsules are cleaned out. Designed for the Japanese not Westerner.
Review 21:Other guests often have loud conversations on the pod floor and can generally be insensitive to other people who are trying to sleep. This isn't so much an issue with the hotel management though.
Review 22:I've stayed here several times and have always been happy.
Review 23:Small lockers and you need to pay if any luggage even normal size. Stuffy inside capsule - poor ventilation. No real privacy and you hear all noises a whole night. Earplug, if needed, you have to buy.
Review 24:Location is good for those transporting mainly by train but a bit difficult to find as it's situated in a small sub-road beside Hollywood entertainment center. Nice bath center with good amenity.
Review 25:Lockers are a bit tiny but the staff will hold yor luggage. Very good staff
Review 26:Great staff, super clean
Review 27:Additional charge for luggage
Review 28:close to station, neat, clean, convenient
Review 29:Very nice and clean
Review 30:Staff didnt talk english.so.I had to figure out the rules on my own by breaking them
Review 31:Too many stairs to the lobby.
Review 32:Great location, staff were very helpful
Review 33:Not suitable travellers with luggages..
Review 34:Capsules are noisy
Review 35:Price
Review 36:Although it's close to the station, its location is not immediately obvious and the facade of the building looks dubious.
Review 37:Fascinating experience, and I slept better than I expected. The capsule itself is a lot roomier than it looks and is equipped with a TV and Radio, however the latter didn't seem to work properly in my cap. Breakfast is included albeit very basic but enough to get you started for the day. Sauna and spa area very clean and noticed staff periodically testing water hygiene at which I was quite impressed.
Review 38:First time in a capsule hotel, thought it would be like a dorm but its a bit too noisy, drunken snoring kept me awake. Also alarm clocks start sounding from 4.30 and you hear most of them. The tv room smells of cigarette smoke. The sauna is a bit odd, people don't converse and there were no other English speakers anyway. Overall not a great experience.
Review 39:Location just by station is good.
Review 40:capsules are a bit short for a 1,90m guy like me.
Review 41:Thema Sauna and spa Areal was quite nice. Highly recommandable for recreation. Capsules are really cool, first generation i'd say.
Review 42:Nothing at this rate
Review 43:Very close site from station, additional discount promotion, free - luggage keeping service(before or after check in/out)...etc
Review 44:Excellent location
Review 45:Weird environment, to Japanese...
Review 46:Staff was nice and friendly. Very cheap.
Review 47:Only japanese style toilet.
Review 48:The shower with 14 water jets!
