Reviews for E' Hotel
Review 1:Rooms were too small, no views, sewage smell from canal next to hotel, shower was tiny. Poor value for the cost.
Review 2:Staff, breakfast, upstairs restaurant, rooftop patio.
Review 3:Staff was aggressive when I'm asked about towels for beach. wifi worked only in one part of hotel. breakfast its big joke, its just coffee and few fruits. the talent of the photographer who shot this hotel enchants. in reality it all looks different
Review 4:Really good location, near empty beach with shower
Review 5:No bar open till 7pm. After a long day driving this was hideous! But we worked round it.
Review 6:A good location - even if the driveway in a off putting - quiet for your stay, but very close to all the sights.
Review 7:The pool is small and unappetizing. But there's a big beautiful beach nearby.
Review 8:This a business hotel which is very nice for tourists. The rooms are big and luxurious. There are beautiful views of Sicily and the Straits. Everything works. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast was great. And, if you are taking ferries to or from the Aeolian Islands, it is a 10 minute walk to the harbor. The Lungamare Promenade is right by the hotel and there are lots of restaurants and shops.
Review 9:Nothing negative to say.
Review 10:Staff superb - helpful in many respects. Give reception and wait staff highest grades. What can be more Important? Chef excellent.
Review 11:Outside loud noise at night, glass staircase can be challenging, bed on main floor hard and appeared to be like a futon mattress.
Review 12:Location, breakfast included, spacious suite, dark window coverings, roof top terrace and nice fresh linen. The shower was very nice as well.
Review 13:The pool had a mechanical problem and was not usable
Review 14:The staff was cordial, professional and a pleasure to deal with. They extended themselves beyond expectations. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.
Review 15:Pedestrian access was bad - we had to walk up a narrow road with cars coming in both directions.
Review 16:The views across the Straight of Messina
Review 17:No air condition
Review 18:Location was grest
Review 19:poor aircondition, pool was not so clean
Review 20:Staff were nice and tried hard to accommodate you. Good location can walk everywhere. Do not need a car.
Review 21:Inconsistent customer service
Review 22:hotel location, style and cleanliness of accommodation, breakfast was amazing
Review 23:What a disappointing hotel. Not impressive and we definitely would not book this hotel again. This hotel in particular was the one that we were especially looking forward to based on the reviews and out of all of our hotels over our 3 week trip, this was the most expensive and the most disappointing. We travel a lot and I can't believe the price of this hotel when compared to the quality. It is a three star at best and don't be fooled by the pictures.Room wasn't very clean when we arrived. We had the suite and there were sticky spots on the stairs which made us wonder how well it had been cleaned. We found that not much was tidied every day, including not cleaning the mirrors in the bathrooms, shower floors, etc.Toiletries weren't all replenished every day, something that was very surprising considering how much we'd paid to have a suite. As well, we'd use the plastic glasses the night before and they wouldn't be replenished either. We were super disappointed with the view. We'd specifically requested this room because it had a sea view, but unlike the way that it's portrayed in the pics, the sea view is at the back so you have to view the rooftops and other not so lovely things in order to actually see the sea view, which is also blocked by the one side of the hotel. The balconies were small and the concrete went so high that if you were to sit, you wouldn't be able to see anything, but that wasn't an issue because there were no chairs on the deck anyways. Our shower was so tiny and dark even though on the site it said that the showers were large and modern - this is not true at all and this shower was even tinier than a cruise ship shower. I am not a large person, but in order to bend to pick up the soap or shampoo,I had to open the door of the shower to bend, thus getting water all over the floor every day.
Review 24:Our waiter on the first night was fantastic, super friendly and tried very hard. The views from the restaurant were also nice. Free parking.
Review 25:very hard to find - road signs near Lido station pointed in the wrong direction, although it was quite close. Room large but a bit bare.
Review 26:free wifi in the room. Large room.
Review 27:The hidromassage didn't worked. Or I was unable to let it work. No instructrions about it. And one morning I found a little insect in the wash basin. A little bit pricy for what it offer.
Review 28:The location is at two steps from the storical center of the city. The room was really a big space. And smoking free.
Review 29:Dated brown décor in room. Surroundings of hotel run down. Too expensive. Corridors had lots of scratches, chips out of the plaster etc . Gave the impression of lack of attention to detail
Review 30:Very large room with sea view. Parking outside hotel.
Review 31:For those who do not speak some Italian, this would be a challenging place to stay. It is also a little difficult to find - we ended up parking in the large and very crowded public car park and walking until we spotted it. Only then could we work out how to get at it!
Review 32:We wanted a quality hotel with a view having driven down from Tuscany to Reggio Calabria, somewhere to relax before taking the ferry to Sicily the next day. The hotel has beautiful view of the Straits of Messina and Sicily, with a lovely roof terrace and restaurant. Our room had a small balcony with much the same views and was perfectly fitted out for our comfort. Whilst there did appear to be a menu for dinner, using this was not encouraged, and our waiter brought round a trolley of fish and meat for us to choose, saying how each fish / cut of meat would be prepared. For wine, he showed us the wine cupboard and we chose a very nice bottle of red for the sort of price we would usually pay. My partner chose prawns which came in a lovely risotto and I had a sea bass roasted in salt with some veggies to accompany. The staff seem to only speak Italian, so some of this could be challenging if you do not have some Italian to help you along.
Review 33:We were impressed with the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet with a sea view. The breakfasts (included in the price) were excellent. The food in the restaurant was also good. We would book this hotel again on a return visit to Reggio Calabria and recommend it to our friends. Also the location of the hotel is very convenient for those without a car: it is within walking distance to the Lido station, to the port for the ferry to Messina and the Aeolian isles, to the town center, the Museum, corso Garibaldi ,the Duomo and the castle.
