Reviews for Sun City Hotel
Review 1:Thin walls, located above a disco. Be sure to book a room on at least the 2nd floor for sound insulation from the club. Probably not a good choice for older couples or those with young children.
Review 2:Clean and nicely furnished. Located near nice shops and restaurants.
Review 3:Thin walls meant hearing the downstairs disco until 5am through the bathroom and an amorous next-door couple in the morning.
Review 4:Cheap; near city center. Hot water in the bath was good.
Review 5:Everything is very worn-out The hotel was not very clean and was poorly maintained Walls are very thin. You can hear a conversation in the neighboring room. The air conditioner was very noisy.
Review 6:The service was good and the staff was helpful Even though they say they don't offer breakfast you get free coffee, tea and water and packaged muffins in the morning.
Review 7:No stairs. Didn't bother us but consider if old or heavy luggage. Nice to be near bustle but night life goes on late if you battle to sleep.
Review 8:All buildings in Tel Aviv looked broken down so it won't look nice from outside but inside is clean and tidy. Close to night life and beach. Staff dont look friendly but we're actually very helpful with directions and did online search and printed out stuff.
Review 9:It was impossible to sleep because of the loud music from a disco behind the hotel. Even the forniture was trembling because of that. I could sleep only from 5 a.m. when the music stopped. We ask for a little refund and the staff was very unpleasant. we went there for relaxing and we were wide awake all night long. Worst experience ever!!! I do not suggest this place.
Review 10:Only the cleanliness
Review 11:I like being able to walk a few blocks to the beach and the Carmel Market and to the shopping street Shenkin. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 12:Room is so small. Sometimes, I even can not move my body in the lavatory. No breakfast. But it is ok. This hotel is suitable for backpacker.
Review 13:just clear. Some free snacks. And so close to the sea side. WIFI is also ok.
Review 14:Municipality rubbish bins on pavement by entrance to hotel on Yona Hanavi St.
Review 15:Central location near to:beach,Carmel open market, restaurants, bus lines.no more noise from Allenby 40 Club that is now closed!
Review 16:Nothing. Everything was what I expected.
Review 17:Staff was friendly, polite, and answered any questions we had. We felt safe. There was a gate to get into the entrance and the door to the establishment you needed to be let in. No concerns staying in this part of the city.
Review 18:It was loud outside so it was necessary to wear ear plugs. A can of pop purchased at the front counter was 10 NIS...expensive.
Review 19:The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Review 20:The noise from street very load and also the overall appearance was dirty and out dated, building needs a good clean..
Review 21:Location was central and walking distance to most places. free coffee and muffin in the morning was handy, staff were helpful and friendly.
Review 22:If you are in Tel Aviv for the nightlife the Sun City is a great location. Situated right amongst the heart of the vibrant nightlife. Rooms are simple and very clean, staff were highly accommodating.
Review 23:Airconditioner in the room was very noisy. I was not able to tune it to have comfortable temperature. We were unable to sleep at all on a thursday night because of a party in a bar nearby. All the other days though it was okay.
Review 24:The location is great. On a side-street near Allenby. 5 mins to Carmel. 5 mins to the seaside. 10 mins to Dizenhoff. Shops and cafes are all nearby. Room is okay. Design is okay. Staff is helpful. Small kitchen with coffee\tea facilities is very helpful.
Review 25:Loud music club in the neighbourhood. Good to party, worse to sleep :-)
Review 26:Free to use bar with coffee and cold water, very friendly staff, air conditioning, close to the beach and to the city centre
Review 27:The location is good and close to the beach. The staff is really nice and so helpful with anything you ask them really great! The room was small and in the evening there is some noise from the street but not bad. One can fall easily asleep. The bath is small but all funktioning and the shower was very nice. Reakfast: free coffee (Cappuccino and other) and a croissant. In short: Good location, wonderful staff, small but functional room. I can recommmend for a nightnor two!
Review 28:it is really too loud during the nigt, but you can deal without this'll problem with the help of earplugs.
Review 29:Great personal, Always there to help. The hotel is clean that is rare in Israel. Good location, close to the beach and quite close to Rotshild, buses to all the destination. Great place to explore Tel-Avivs night life. Although too noisy in the night. There is a small and handy kitchen you can use 24 hours in the hotel. Can be very useful.
Review 30:Stuff was helpful and polite. Hotel was clean. Good location. Little bit exspensive, possible due to the fact that everything is exspensive. Kitchen like at home, very convenient.
Review 31:we asked for a quiet room. it did look out in the yard, there was no traffic noise, but the noise from an air conditioner was hardlly bearable
Review 32:Everything was fine, but for the strong noise from e a very big conditioner or something like that
Review 33:The hotel is very old fashioned for the price that we paid. The area where you could prepare your coffee, looked like has not been cleaned for ages! Grease and dust everywhere... Found some hair on the bathroom floor (looked like it was cleaned in a rush).
Review 34:Comfortable bed, good location
Review 35:The rooms are facing a crowded street and it can be quite loud. There is a club underneath and the music goes on until around 1-2am The kitchen is kind of a shared hostel type of kitchen
Review 36:The staff was really nice and helpful. The price is good considering the central location. The location is really nice, walking distance from the beach and from Rotshchild boulevard
Review 37:It's all about the noise coming from the nearest discobars. It cannot be avoided nor deducted. Just impossible to sleep. Do not ruin your holidays, choose another one..
Review 38:Definitely,ratio quality/price is positive. The staff is very kind and helpful,if you need to book trips, you are in the perfect place.Very good location for walking/public transport, 5minutes walking from the beach.
Review 39:Next to hotel disco club. All night you can hear the music.Even ear plugs did not help.
Review 40:Verry kind ,helpful and friendly staff at reception desk.Good location.Clean room and bathroom.
Review 41:quite expensive for a supersmall room. too loud, you could hear each noise from the bar next door and your neighbours above. no chance to sleep
Review 42:helpful staff, super location
Review 43:- no elevator, had to carry my suitcase 3 floors up - The breakfast is a pre-packed muffin. That's it. The coffee machine did not work - VERY noisy room - room pretty tiny, but ok
Review 44:+ wifi works + overall clean + central location (although in direct neighbourhood to some dubious "bars") + provided iron / ironboard for free and it actually worked
Review 45:The neighborhood is a bit noisy with bars open until morning hours very close to the hotel. On Saturday evening, I could hear the music distinctly from the room, but luckily our room was located on the opposite side to the bar/ disco, so I could fall asleep.
Review 46:1. Location: very close to Carmel Market (5 min walk), very close to bus stations (2 min) connected to central bus station and train station, short distance from the beach; 2. The receptionists were very helpful sharing valuable information regarding not only orientation in Tel Aviv but also information about our destinations (Jerusalem, Dead Sea, etc,) - buses, how to get there on Shabbat, when open. 3. The room was cleaned every day. 4. Free access to coffee and brownies at any hour is a plus, especially when leaving on trips at early hours when shops are not yet open. Overall, very good location to explore Tel Aviv.
Review 47:Poor sound insulation of doors and windows. You can hear all the party people coming in and out from the disco in the building's basement.
Review 48:The hotel is good located close to the main Allenby street. It offers good comfort for little money in expensive city like Tel Aviv. Friendly staff, uncomplicated check in/out. Cleanliness of bath is worth to be underlined.
Review 49:It is right on Allenby and there is a discotheque next door. I cant hear the music but the sidewalk is crowded with noisy people. Buses and sirens complete the soundscape. The door and window do little to stop the sound. Sleep is difficult to say the least.
Review 50:Wifi and shower. Bed is comfortable.
Review 51:Loud disco music from disco club next door, but what the hell, for the price I paid, it didn't bother me much.
Review 52:Great location near the beach, clean little rooms. near restaurants and shopping, also bus 4 out front will take you to the Central Bus station and train station.
Review 53:Garbage bins at the entrance to the hotel on Yona Hanavi St.Municipality should put them away from the entrance
Review 54:The wooden furniture gives a homey atmosphere.
Review 55:- as we rent a car I will mention about the parking place...so there is no free parking, near the hotel there is a place but just for the citizens of Tel Aviv (we found out later...and a bit late), but there is a parking down to the street just 50 metres from the hotel - 20 shek for the night (till 7 am). - entrance to the hotel is not so clear and the main street Alenby is the same, but that what you can expect from such a big city.
Review 56:We stayed in november 2014. +clean rooms, absolutely every day cleaning and clean towels; + max 10 minutes to the beach; + road to the beach and the street the hotel is situated is full of shops, cafes; + bus stops are everywhere and all you need; + we took some excursions, and it is very easy to get to the central bus station even without bus, 40 minutes to go, if you want some sport in the morning, or by bus nr.18 (15 min. or a bit more); + noise didn't bother us; + we had no breakfast but 24 hours tea or coffee is for free, also there is a small kitchen, so if you want to warm some food it's not a problem. It's not the 5stars hotel, but it was clean, with nice and helping stuff (taxi arrangment to the airport, answers about buses, routs) and for the room it was the best price with such conditions.
Review 57:There is a very humble breakfast-- hot drink and a muffin.
Review 58:I like to have a bath in the room and there was a bath. We also had a small merpecet to watch the street scene. It was very easy to get to by bus. I liked the nice wooden furniture. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions
Review 59:Absolutely nothing.
Review 60:Close to the beach, right by the old yemenite quarter.....very naturaland friendly staff....loved the triangular staircase and shower :)
Review 61:The neighborhood can be quite loud on Thursday nights due to the surrounding clubs. I had to sleep with earplugs. The noise is worse if you have a room facing Allenby Street.
Review 62:Close to beach, friendly staff, fridge in room, free WIFI. My room even had a balcony.
Review 63:The staff was extremely helpful, the hotel has an excellent location - close to the beach, good connections to and from the airport and inside the city.
Review 64:the garbage on yona hanavi street at the entrance to your hotel is disgraceful! the stench of the urine is also disgusting. the tel aviv municipality should not place its garbage bins right at the entrance of your hotel.
Review 65:simplicity with all the necessary requirements for a comfotable hotel stay. loved the sushi at kurosawa bar nearby at 58 king george st. the shwarma at "bon ta`am" fast food restaurant on 56 king george street was very tasy.
Review 66:location: the hotel is surrounded by night clubs, so noisy at night
Review 67:location: just five minutes' walk from the beach price: reasonable compared with others
Review 68:The staff is very kind especially the receptionist girl she was so kind with me and i'm sure with all like this , the room was so clean everything was so perfect .
Review 69:The hotel is five minutes walk to a sandy beach, close to all the main streets with bars and restaurants. The reception team is extremely friendly, nothing was too much of a trouble. The room was cleaned everyday, sheets changed, clean towels. No, it's not a fancy hotel, but for the price you pay, you can't ask for anything more. Thank you all at the reception desk for helping us out every time we needed something. We had a great time there and would recommend to anyone going to this amazing city!
Review 70:AC was old and very noisy. Had to give the room key to the reception every time we want to go somewhere. Electricity was manualy cutted off by the receptionist when we were leaving so in our room was hot like in the oven when we came back. Noise in the night from below club - we were unable to sleep in our room without earplugs!
Review 71:Old hotel in old building - never renewer... Everything was old in the room, kitchen and reception. What is more there was terrible noise in the room because under the hotel is club with the night events! Coffee was free but ugly. Do not go there!
Review 72:The entrance was a little hard to find at first (you have to turn on to Yonah Ha-Navi and then hope that you've followed the signs correctly as you walk down what could be the entrance to someone's home) but that's hardly a problem. I could see some people being frustrated by the night time noise from the bars and pizza joints below.
Review 73:I got a single room with a balcony very cheaply and it was wonderful. It was very clean and comfortable and the size was helped by the balcony. I was exhausted so I slept through much of the noise from the street below.
Review 74:A nightclub next to the hotel played loud music with a lot of bass which virtually shook our room until after 3am every night. Air conditioning wasn't exactly silent either.
Review 75:We really appreciated how helpful the staff were throughout our stay. We had two separate reservations and they worked to ensure we had a twin room for the majority of our stay, which was greatly appreciated. Our room was very quiet from outside noise and the air conditioning kept it nice and cool. The wifi worked great. We really appreciated the muffins in the morning. We were a bit concerned about traveling, but the staff put our minds at ease and were very helpful with sharing information with us to make sure we had a good stay. Both rooms we stayed in were kept very clean.
Review 76:2 nights with some weirdo crazy disco outside didn't help us to get some sleep.
Review 77:clean sheets, clean room, bathroom cleaner even more than my own. free coffee with sweets in the morning. good one.
Review 78:On the first floor of the hotel there is a night club and Alenbi street is also can be noisy, but I didn’t hear anything. Maybe because of good noise isolation or because there was a short corridor between the room and the balcony door. The only bad thing about my room is traditional poor light. About staff - unfortunately they didn't tell me about one thing - that I can pay in dollars, not only in shekels, and I’ve changed more money for the hotel. And in general the only thing that I didn’t like in this wonderful hotel is… I’ve stayed there for my birthday and I wrote about it by email in advance. On arrival they could make me a present (flower or fruits, as always hotels do) or only tell me “happy birthday!”, but it didn’t happen. This small thing could make my stay at Sun City Hotel really fantastic…
Review 79:I really like this hotel!!! It was clean, comfortable, nice and has a good location. It’s situated in the center of Tel Aviv, 5 minutes by foot to the beach. My single room was very nice, spacious, clean, comfortable and fresh (thanks to free air-conditioner!). There was single bed with two (!) pillows, bedside table, wardrobe, table with chair and mirror, additional mirror on the wall (!), TV, fridge and safe (everything is free). The bathroom was also spacious, clean and with good light! There is no officially breakfast in this hotel, but 24 hours a day you can use kitchen with free water-coffee-tea and microwave oven. And every day in the kitchen appear a box with cakes, which can be eaten unlimited (I took two). Also there are free city-maps on the reception and free good (!) wi-fi in the rooms. Officially Saturday check-in is at 17-00 (thanks to Jewish shabbath), but I’ve got my room on my arrival about 13-30. And in general I liked hotel’s staff, especially by email-conversation, which was very organized.
Review 80:The room is pretty small. On the 3rd floor the WiFi does not work, in spite of what the staff say. Given the pretty high price, there's not a whole lot of value other than the location.
Review 81:The location was perfect - 5 minutes from the beach and near many shops and restaurants and markets along Allenby St. I had a problem with a rental bicycle and David, one of the front staff, was very kind and helpful in solving the problem.
Review 82:single room was tiny, opened out onto the very noisy street where there were parties going all night, car horns blaring and people shouting. Not a good place to stay if you have just stepped off a plane and are looking to sleep at all
Review 83:Location was an easy walk to the beach
Review 84:The noise form next door pub. Slow internet at times.
Review 85:The stuff were very good and attentive. The rooms were very nicely done and clean. The location was excellent. Access to hot drinks when wanted.
Review 86:The city itself is extremely expensive, and not very clean.
Review 87:Despite the hotel is in the heart of the city, it was very quiet at night. (I asked a room with windows looking to the back) It is located 5 mins from the beach, which is beautiful. The staff was helpful and friendly, and there's free and tasty muffins in the morning, and tea-coffee-water throughout the day.

Review 104:Too pricey for this value.
Review 105:For one night it was quite ok.

Review 108:Everything was great! I really enjoyed my stay!
Review 109:Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to the beach.
Review 110:Ambiente piccolo, sala comune per colazioni alla buona.
Review 111:Molto gentili. Camere discrete
Review 112:No elevator, no breakfast (only cofee and muffins on a serve yourself base), quite noisy from the surrounding clubs.
Review 113:Clean, quite nicely located
Review 114:Noisy street
Review 115:Location, helpful staff
Review 116:Overflowing Municipal garbage bins at the entrance to the hotel. Stench of urine! A real disgrace!
Review 117:Good deal. Comfortable bed Great location
Review 118:Absence of parking
Review 119:Good staff
Review 120:Noise from other rooms and outside
Review 121:Good location, clean and nice rooms

Review 123:Easy to get to Carmel Markets and beach. Great shower!
Review 124:Clean room with friendly staff and free wifi. Property in great location for public transport and tourist attractions.
Review 125:Close to pubs, so veeeery loud during the nights. Forget any atempt to sleep!
Review 126:Very close to discotheque (pound music till 3 am). I couldn't sleep all night and I had to run in the marathon. Terrible experience.
Review 127:No parking and hair dryer
Review 128:Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room
