Reviews for Villa Avellino Historic Residence
Review 1:the only thing that wasnt perfect: When neighbour cooked you could smell it through the ventilation system
Review 2:Friendliness of the staff Sky television channels View of the coast in the morning Huge appartement with very modern touch
Review 3:Cleaning was poor. It appeared great until walking on floor bare foot and such things revealed the short cuts taken by cleaning staff.
Review 4:Great history to the building. Comfortable beds. Great shower. Excellent location.
Review 5:nothing negative
Review 6:Great room and the staff, Fulvio & Patrizia were very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and very convenient to many of the historic sites and good restaurants.Would definitely stay here again.
Review 7:noise from repair work some days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is not comfortable if you solved to have a rest afternoon at your room.
Review 8:good location, 5 min to the sea, near to nice park and the supermarket, free parking, helpfull staff, free coffe, large comfortable room. Nice choice for travelers by car.
Review 9:No safe in room. Safe then supplied but not secure.
Review 10:Beautiful building and very well renovated, without damage to original features. Lovely ceiling fresco in our apartment, amazing. Views lovely.
Review 11:This property is still undergoing construction, work starts before 8am. Serious problems with moisture inside the building, it is damp and MOLDY. Room 129 (sea view) was our initially assigned spot but we had to leave after one terrible night due to the smell of mold and damp beds. Relocated to room 120 which was fine but had the construction site right in front of our window.
Review 12:Central location, food stores/markets within short walking distance, secure free parking, Wifi worked reliably
Review 13:Nothing. Everything was great.
Review 14:Location was outstanding. 15 minute walk to the train station and the same for the port of Pozzuolli. Staff especially Fabio and Giancarlo were outstanding. Goid restaurants and cafes within minutes of the hotel. Highly recommended for anyone going to the Naples area.
Review 15:Nothing!
Review 16:Great location, facility, and hospitality. Rooms are so spacious and clean. Beds are so confortable. From our room, we were able to have beautiful sea view. Highly recommended!
Review 17:Sadly, the garden apartment we stayed in, whilst very beautiful, had problems with damp. For anyone with health problems, bought on by mould, it may be best to rent an apartment on one of the upper floors of the complex.
Review 18:Beautifully decorated apartment and the location was wonderful. The garden apartments have truly lovely surroundings. The staff were extremely helpful and the owner's brother, especially, went out of his way to help us. Located on the hill looking out over the sea.
Review 19:I made a reservation months in advance only to arrive on my honeymoon to find out they had given my apartment to someone else!
Review 20:There is great potential at this hotel but they do not maintain clean apartments and the furniture is not comfortable.
Review 21:No food available at hotel, but supermarket within five minute walk. Telephone in room would not work for outside calls (staff member indicated this was a technical problem with our phone line). Two level room has bedroom upstairs but bathroom on first floor. Spiral stairway is narrow and could be problem with seniors or small children needing to use bathroom during night.
Review 22:Location (situated on a small rise above town of Pozzuoli) with incredible views. Note: travelers in wheel chairs or with walking disabilities will need a car to get into town or around the various sights in the area). Very clean. Very safe as hotel has security gates on main entrance doors and outside parking area. Conveniently located near old Roman Ampitheater. Two or three restaurants within 5 minute walk. Town and port of Pozzuoli with shopping and plentiful restaurants is 10 to 15 minute walk.
Review 23:What a great location, off the tourist trail. Staff were very helpful, problems with the suite were fixed promptly. The bar/cafe across the road was very helpful with sightseeing ideas. Loved Pozzuoli, had a wonderful time there.
Review 24:Very accommodating staff.
Review 25:The friendly staff, the lovely lay out of the apartment.
Review 26:Afterhours help was nonexistant.
Review 27:Room was huge and reasonably appointed.
Review 28:very clean ,the staff where more than helpful in every aspect ie ferry times, train times and where to find the nearest supermarket .
Review 29:Would have liked a toaster for children.
Review 30:Very comfortable stay, no surrounding noise and located very close to the town.
Review 31:Not easy to find, there aren"t any sign posts had to keep asking people for directions
Review 32:Accommadation very nice
Review 33:The building was superb and the apartments modern, chic and contemporary. Very clean and the staff were very kind and considerate.
Review 34:Spacious accommodation, travelled with three other families. All had a great time.
Review 35:Large, modern room Location Free, easy parking
Review 36:Nothing
Review 37:Location, quality of furniture and fittings, terrace, secure parking, friendly helpful staff
Review 38:Interior needs a good paint job and thorough cleaning. Found lots of dust around and the bedding was unwelcomingly unironed. Why no cleaning products or tea towels and why not leave products such as washing liquid to be helpful and not wasteful? Broken tv cabinet was unsafe.
Review 39:Parking, space, location, sea view, staff, shower, bed and wardrobe space, tv, kitchen
Review 40:Constant smell of smoking
Review 41:Great central location for visiting Pozzuoli and it's surroundings. Car parking was a valuable asset in this very busy town. Quiet, roomy and private apartment.
Review 42:We had a late arrival and found it difficult to call the reception from outside, ( dial 100 )
Review 43:Everything was great, the apt was very luxurious with quality fittings, loved the Ipod stereo dock. Our apt was huge with a balcony and sea view.Close to the train station(s) and lots of restuarants, a friendly area.We had a warm welcome and were shown all the facilities and given a local map.A great place to stay , relaxing after a hectic day out.Close to Cummae.
Review 44:Absolutely nothing!
Review 45:This is a fabulous hotel find with excellent staff. We were upgraded butfrom my viewing, every room in this boutique hotel is lovely. Weactually had a 18th century fresco on the ceiling in our room! Lovelyhistoric setting close to the center of town. The hotel recommended anearby restaurant built in an old Roman cellar -- the food was to diefor. Could not have been happier with this hotel and hope to return.
Review 46:It was simply great - very clean, elegant and comfortable. The staff were very, very friendly, made us feel very welcome. It is new, well located in the center of Pozzuoli close to the tourist sights. Beautiful place. Love it.
Review 47:Because this is a local tourist area, supermarkets close early so is important to ensure you have purchased all provisions before closing time! However, if you are aware of this then this is not a problem and, in fairness, the fact that it is not geared for mass tourism is one of the great appeals of the area.
Review 48:A true taste of Italy without being geared for high tourism from outside of Italy. Within walking distance of the town and sea front and many local restaurants. The apartment was very modern and the split-level open plan accommodation unique. Fab views overlooking the bay of Naples. Very friendly with many locals able to communicate in English. Very clean accommodation.
Review 49:Extremy nice rooms and setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal to visit Naples since the metro stop is nearby. Ask the staff for a good restaurant at your choice.
Review 50:The residence is beautiful and large. Very comfortable with a largeliving space, lovely kitchen ( fully equipped), a full bath and a halfbath, plenty of closet space, great electronics with access to Englishspeaking channels, surround sound system for your iphone, very clean andcomfortable! I only wish I had been staying longer as this is a verylovely seaside town with spas and a good escape from the craziness ofNaples. At the same time, it is an easy train ride into Naples ( 30 minfor only 1.80 Euros!) The staff was very accommodating and had a vanthat took us to the train station ( 3 blocks away) so we would not haveto carry our luggage. Very helpful and kind people working here!
Review 51:This is a palace redesigned into suites. It is new, very well located in the center of Pozzuoli close to the tourist sights. It is next to a park of the same name. Beautiful place.
Review 52:Convenient location (close to railway station, beach, park, shops, historical sites of Pozzuoli), sea view, spacious room.
Review 53:Wifi was a little sluggish
Review 54:Location and plenty of parking
Review 55:That I couldn't stay longer
Review 56:Location, amenities, very helpful staff and beautiful facilities
Review 57:Stairs in town
Review 58:Fabio at the reception, very helpful, fexible, brandnew rooms
Review 59:This hotel was excellent very clean and comfortable and the staff were even better they made us feel very welcome would love to visit again some day
Review 60:No sea view from our appartment
Review 61:Staff were excellent. Appartment was lovely
Review 62:Spacious, modern palazzo. Very friendly staff.
