Review 6：Very good. The hotel is ten minutes walk from Okayama station. Room is well equipped and staff are friendly. They even offer welcome ice cream, free bread and drinks for breakfast. Location is good.

Review 7：The room is clean and comfortable. The free simple breakfast (a bread and coffee/tea) provided in morning is a plus, it certainly helps when you need to catch a early train. Also, nice staff :)

Review 17：The rooms were super clean. The beds were comfortable. The provate bathroom was perfect. The staff were super friendly and tried to be as helpful as they could considering their lack of English. The location was good being close to facilities like Aeon Mall and Okayama Station. The A/C kept the room cold on a hot day. The free breakfast, coffee, coke, and ice cream was another plus

Review 18：We did not manage to use wifi. But it was working for the rest of people. Minor stuff. The watercloset could be maybe an inch bigger but it was really clean so it works as it is! Breakfast is just japanese bread. Could be bigger but ey it comes with free icecream and cold drinks(sodas teas and water). Coffee lovers will have to go to a cafeteria.

Review 19：Cleanliness. Very comfy bed. Free drinks in reception. Free icecream! Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room seems small but is very clean and has all basic stuff you need: soaps, fridge, air conditioning etc. Location is about 20 min walk of the beautiful gardens of Okayama. Very nice views from the room we had.

Review 21：-It's cheap and pleasant. -They offer a lot of things for free in the reception, drinks, ice-cream, shower sponge... -The staff is very nice (a little bit too much, they smile too much, it becomes scarry xD). Sadly, they speak little English, but enough to communicate.

I loved the sofa that was in my room, and having the free drinks vending machine, also I was really close to the venues I needed to get to. There was also a convenience store a cross the street. By the way, Aeon Mall is really close!

Review 35：This hotel has everything you need plus a really friendly manager and free ice cream. What else could you ask for? It has a good location. Yummy free breackfast. Free coffee and soft drinks. Nice bed. Yukatas. Nice shower. It really has it all. And Okayama is a beautiful city. We spent there 3 nights. I recommend this hotel.

Review 39：The bed was comfortable but not the pillow. The pillow was very hard but we managed to have a softer pillow after we informed the friendly front desk staff. Tip : request for soft pillow when making reservation.

Review 43：The staff, kind, english speaking. So funny and hilarious, but professional. There's even a washing machine with a dryer! The free breakfast is great (after days of hotel without it's amazing! I suggest the pastry with the curry!) and the rooms are big and clean. Maybe a bit old, but effective. Great location, there's a lovely river walk just at the back of the hotel. A must for all the couples!!

Review 44：The convenience of the location, the free ice cream. Also the bottomless coffee and pastries for breakfast. The room was adequate in size and comfortable. Additionally, the restaurant across the road was outstanding for its quality of food and value for money. One of the best we have experienced in 3 weeks of JR rail travel across Japan. Plan to use this hotel and visit this destination on our next trip to Japan too.

Review 51：I put the do not clean sign on the door (as one is supposed to) as we had only slept in the bed 1 night and the room did not need to be cleaned, yet we returned to find our stuff moved and the room having been "cleaned"... Clearly the signs meant nothing... The next day we wanted the room cleaned (clearly explained in Japanese to the front desk) and yet we got new towels and nothing else was cleaned/ made. The initial cleanliness of the room upon arrival was very poor, stains on the floors, ceilings and walls were an eyesore... Overall, unless desperate, I would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Review 52：Free drinks in the lobby was a huge plus, especially when we had to wait for our friend to arrive to pick us up. Free ice cream and presents on arrival. Staff were nice enough and remembered who we were and what room we were in.

Review 56：My mom and I weren't able to check in on the first night because our flight was delayed. Without even me asking for it, the hotel immediately took out 1 night from the bill. It wasn't mentioned in the hotel information but there was free bread in the morning and all day free coffee, tea, chocolate drink, water, and ice cream. The bathroom shower was easier to use than in other hotels and the room, the lobby, and the hallways were all clean. The room we had was on the 8th floor and had a nice view of a small park, people having fun or jogging or walking with children or older people. The staff spoke English and were very friendly, polite, and kind. If I had a chance to go back to Okayama, I would stay Hotel Maira again.

Review 58：The staff surprised us with champagne, balloons and a hand-written card. They have free ice-cream, soft drinks and coffee. The hotel is located walking distance from the train station in around the corner of the main restaurant street.

Review 59：No onsite parking. Room is small and toilet is old but clean. Was woken up by the toilet door that was creaking and squeaking loudly on its own during the night and I had to get to take a look. It stopped the moment I went to investigate and thereafter no more noise from the toilet door. The walls are kind of thin because I could hear snores (I think they are) from adjacent room at night.
