Reviews for Masseria Marzalossa

Review 1:evening dinners very disappointing. Meals are not A La Carte as quoted by you and standard of meat well below standard. Cheap cuts of meat used. Owners need to rethink their meal policies as they are falling far behind standards of their competitors.

Review 2:Staff very polite and our suite was up to the standard we expected with very nice private terrace. Excellent swimming pool..

Review 3:Wrong address on website so hard to find. Owners' dog barking during mealtimes. No decent bread for breakfast and no eggs. Not enough light in bedroom.

Review 4:The pool is divine, lovely gardens, mostly nice food served on charming terrace. Towels right size (decent size bath towel and a hand towel that's perfect to put round head when washing hair - usually too big or too small)

Review 5:Some of the other guests rush to block reserve sun loungers and then not use them til much later and their ability to only think of themselves!

Review 6:Beautiful hotel with friendly staff.

Review 7:It was difficult to have a dinner in masseria. We were told 3 times that the dinner is not possible and should speek with the receptionnist to organize it. The prices of minibar and local limonade was extremely expensive, like in 5 stars hôtel in Paris. No any staff was avaliable to propose any drinks, we were obliged to go to the kitchen our selfs to command the drinks. Despite, we warmly recommand the Masseria Marzalossa for its beauty and tranquility.

Review 8:Beautifull swiming-pool, decoration, luxuriant garden, tranquility, good location, romantic place to stay.

Review 9:Friendly & efficent staff. Excellent pool, kept clean at all times. Facilities well maintained. Lucy the Chef, her food is amazing. The owner of the property takes the time to meet all the clients at the farmhouse, very personalised!

Review 10:Breakfast was disappointing: to receive processed ham and cheese in the country of prosciutto crudo is a shame . The dinner was average and the wine list far too short for such a pricey hotel. Our bathroom was frankly dirty.

Review 11:very tasteful decoration. lovely swimming pool. nice surroundings for dinner : a real treat on a balmy night

Review 12:The site is quite remote and you certainly need a car, and to drive for 30 mins to find a good local town for the passagio...(Ostunia) Apulia is a relaxed semi rural location - not the place for shopping or lots of culture. We found access to food and drink a little tricky .....there is no bar by the pool - you have to request everything specifically - its always done with a smile but you pay for it (5 euro for a cup of tea). Its a little like staying in someone's house. The food at dinner is super (no choice - set menu) but its 40 euro a head which by Puglian standards is pricy). Avoid the minibar - we racked up huge charges here - 5 euro for can of coke. Finally - we had to complain about the pool - our kids spent 3 or 4 hours a day in it and their skin turned yellow , as did their swimming costumes .... Obviously a chemical problem but one which was not addressed.

Review 13:The pool and breakfasts were excellent. The accommodation is comfortable and a lovely place to relax for a a few days. The meals in the masseria Restaurant were excellent. The proprietor is delightful and welcoming. Its a place to stay for 2 or3 nights complete relaxation but more than that feels a bit long for such a remote location.

Review 14:Signs to property were poor and we got lost a couple of times trying to find it, especially at night
