Reviews for Bagni Di Pisa - The Leading Hotels of the World
Review 1:It appears to be such a large hotel, although that may be just in terms of its physical presence, but you felt as if you mattered to the staff; they were very attentive. The early morning swim in glorious sunshine in the 36 degree outdoor pool with the backdrop of Tuscan hills was certainly a highlight.
Review 2:Bathroom tired, spa facilities very overcrowded. During "turn down" service the housekeeping turned off aircon (at the mains switch) so I was unable to turn back on and felt suffocated all night. Eventually had night reception come and turn on at 4am.
Review 3:Staff fantastic, a credit to the Hotel. My room was comfortable but quite basic for the price.
Review 4:Booked a superior double room got a very small room with no mirror in bedroom. Breakfast food selection poor. No clean towels in pool area. Would not consider this hotel a 5 star
Review 5:Staff were very friendly and efficient, terrace restaurant was excellent
Review 6:The service and hotel personnel were excellent-always making the guests feel welcome, valued, and important. My needs were not only met but exceeded, and I even experienced a severe health problem which was handled with great care, concern, and kindness.
Review 7:The room was a small claustrophobic dark little room with low ceilings and cellar walls. I asked three times during my stay if we could we pay for an upgraded room but the staff never bothered to get back to me.
Review 8:A lovely hotel set in the Tuscany hills in a traditional friendly village oozing with character
Review 9:The room was very ordinary, a small window with a horrible view, nothing special for the price it costs. No mirror in the room. The water was not very clean in the Therme pools, it smelled like dirty water'!
Review 10:Staff polite and ready to help
Review 11:Spa amenities could do with a little update.
Review 12:Great location, in a peaceful little village closeby Pisa. Beautiful old mansion. Kids loved the 4 baths/swimming pools to choose from. Nice restaurant with delicious food.Very friendly staff.
Review 13:Took over an hour to get clothes ironed, no hot water to get washed with, room service kept knocking on door but not to deal with my requirements (ie ironing, hot water and breakfast!
Review 14:Loxation
Review 15:Not a criticism but the outside pool water is hot, so on a warm day there's only the shower for cooling! No food served by the pool so we had to dress and find the outside bar, which was hard to find - the hotel is a maize and it took a day or so before we'd worked out how to get back to our room! My masseur was charming but fairly basic and mechanical but I suspect (and the brochure indicates) that the more complex health and beauty treatments is where they specialise
Review 16:The hotel is beautifully decorated in an understated and typically Italian style, staff were helpful and friendly and Pisa was a short drive away. The pool area had plenty of beds and isn't a place that attracts kids so it's very peaceful. Music in the spa areas was italian opera overtures - a refreshing change from mystical piped 'sea shore' and 'enchanted forest' music! Despite my critical comments on a couple of aspects we would definitely return.
Review 17:How come you always get asked what the bed is like but nobody asks what the pillows are like as in this case the bed was good but pillows poor.
Review 18:We only stayed one night so can't give a proper estimate but feel this would be a very relaxing place to stay. The. Staff were great to deal with and made us feel very welcome.
Review 19:Spa area is dated and everything feels damp. When you enter the hotel the smell of water and damp from the spa is too much. The hotel is on several levels and not very straightforward layout. There is no nice big beautiful reception area. The village nearby is very small with only a couple of cafes available.
Review 20:The hotel and place around is very quite so its good to relax. The Olive Walk will take you up in the mountain and offer a great view on the surroundings
Review 21:bed was a bit hard
Review 22:medical spa facilities open air thermal pool ambience the Thermal cave was superb restaurant and reception staff were friendly and helpful Quality of food - diet option
Review 23:Had a very relaxing stay. Service was excellent from beginning to end, staff were friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Spiral stair leading to lounge in the bedroom, which was unexpected but a lovely surprise. Excellent quality food and drink.
Review 24:Good breakfast but seem average if compared with the level of the dinners served in the same location... Spa facilities a bit on the old side... Time has come for a deep maintenance...
Review 25:We took the dinner every evening at the hotel. All dinners were absolutely fantastic. Great staff too in the restaurant!
Review 26:The restaurant is definitely not at par with the rest of the hotel. Not much at all around the hotel. But again who would want to leave this hotel anyway (except for better food)?
Review 27:Very friendly and helpful staff. First class spa facilities. Very comfortable and relaxing.
Review 28:The location (not close to anything), the noise above room 211 (the restaurant, so tables and chairs were moving above all night), two-level indoor facing rooms offer a view of the indoor hallway, and no one told me breakfast was included, so I ordered room service in the morning, at a cost.
Review 29:The pool, Turkish bath, and spa services.
Review 30:Meals in restaurant were over priced.
Review 31:Excellent location and our stay was very relaxing.
Review 32:Selling the hotel as leading hotel of the world which is a wrong expectation setting
Review 33:Spa, staff and food are excellent
Review 34:Terrace area was delightful and the staff in this area extremely efficient.
Review 35:Nothing.
Review 36:Everything was tops.
Review 37:The Staff at this hotel are outstanding. The hotel is well run and client orientated.
Review 38:Maybe the breakfast room and quality is not up to the rest .....
Review 39:Calm warm welcoming staff and room proximity of therms
Review 40:- Breakfast could be bit better - Loud AC
Review 41:- Staff was super friendly and helpful - Room was very nice - Hotel location was great
Review 42:Air conditioning in bedroom rather loud and it was not apparent if it could be controlled
Review 43:Pool, calm atmosphere, friendly staff, food, style
Review 44:Very expensive!
Review 45:Comfort and beauty of the place
Review 46:The man on reception was rude and unhelpful. We were exhausted after an 8 hour journey and he totally refused to let us go to our room until his colleague had been allowed to get our luggage from the car. We asked if one of us could go to the room at least. And he said no! The room was functional but dark and noisy and we had paid for a superior level. The immediate area had one small restaurant otherwise there was little else. The hotel had no atmosphere and we would not return. It was also expensive. If you wish to visit Pisa we suggest you find somewhere closer and do not choose this hotel.
Review 47:The front area of the hotel is attractive. The gentleman who helped with the luggage was very nice.
Review 48:air conditioning like a jet engine in the room. Couldn't get the temperature below 26 degrees. Staff didn't try to improve or react to our poor conditions
Review 49:Nice Spa facilities
Review 50:Was a tad expensive and not sure if it justifies the 5* rating.
Review 51:Nice spa facilities in a manor house style hotel with good transport links - train station 5 minutes from hotel - to Pisa, Florence & Lucca.
Review 52:I totally agree with the most part of guests: beautiful architecture, history, environment. Good restaurant, friendly staff, but lack of attention to detail in the rooms,at the restaurant, in the corridors, at the Spa.
Review 53:Location is excellent, 10 minutes from Pisa, 30 min. from Lucca, 1hour from Florence.
Review 54:Big clean and comfortable room, friendly, smiling and caring staff. Despite of a lot of visitors inside we felt our privacy. Good music, furniture details and pleasant smell of scented candles makes a perfect relaxing atmosphere. The spa and massage was good. The restaurant and the cuisine was delicious, relaxing music again and the silence, so you can enjoy the taste of dishes from fresh local products in each other`s company.
Review 55:The hotel was set up as a spa destination but as a holiday-maker using the hotel as a base I would describe the hotel as 'soul-less'. The airconditioning in our room didn't work properly and after one night trying to sleep in a room 26degrees it was put right, but it only reduced to 24degrees so we asked for a fan in the bedroom, which helped a bit. The evening meal in the restaurant was a poor offering, and the bill was presented to us to sign for without any prices on it. The hotel was overpriced and small things like a complimentary bottle of water in the room or a bowl of fruit might have been nice.
Review 56:Location was good, room was large. Spa had good facilities. Opposite the hotel was a small parade of shops with a bar, gelateria and pizza restaurant, which were all very inviting. Staff at reception very helpful and spoke good English.
Review 57:Background music. Aim is to play relaxing music, we found it too loud and an unnecessary annoying addition to that paradise Bagni di Pisa already is.
Review 58:Location, ease of access, fabulous staff, lovely breakfast, full access to spa during whole stay, respect of privacy, great gardens, great morning walk/stretch, upgraded to better room at no additional cost.
Review 59:Cher and Alanis Morisette played on loop every single day... Surely a 5-star hotel can afford to buy a few more CDs!
Review 60:Lovely place, completely idyllic. Great restaurant too, even by Italian standards.
Review 61:One of our friends could see one of the girls at the reception turningeyes disaproving us when I was not looking, but she very very kind whenshe spoke directly to me. Kind of an akward behaviour if the satff wantsclients to feel true welcome at check in.
Review 62:They gave us a free upgrade, rooms are great, spa is great and food isgreat. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
Review 63:Access to Pisa, Lucca, and beach.
Review 64:Some detail
Review 65:Large space. Excellent room. Silence and relax.
Review 66:the atmosphere, the organization, the staff professionality. It has been a lovely experience.
Review 67:room 25 celcius, no AC
Review 68:nothing
Review 69:everything
Review 70:Room too hot air conditioning not working properly
Review 71:Swimming pools - staff food and bar
Review 72:Staff behaviour
Review 73:Hotel accomodation.
