Reviews for Relais dell'Ussero a Villa di Corliano

Review 1:Bathroom could do with modernisation.

Review 2:The architecture, history and landscape gardens make it one of the finest houses in Tuscany. The Villa di Corliano with its magnificent halls, function rooms and suites give you an insight into another time. The restaurant nearby provide the best meal during my visit to Tuscany- the restaurant manager, was friendly, and very knowledgeable and he took the time to explain the regional dishes. Overall, the host at the Villa di Corliano was charming, very helpful and even served breakfast earlier for me, as I had to get a very early flight back to London. It was an honour to stay at the Villa di Corliano and I would recommend that if you have the opportunity, do visit Villa di Corliano and experience the magic. An exceptional place to stay.

Review 3:The beds could be more comfortable but don't let that deter you.

Review 4:Marco and Camilla were excellent hosts! The Palace was set on a gorgeous property with ancient ruins, statues, frescos amidst trees and a lush lawn. They served us a delicious breakfast every morning. Bakery items were fresh and delicious and displayed beautifully along with fresh fruits and yogurt. They'd also prepare fresh eggs and cappuccino or espresso, along with Prosecco and fresh juices. There is an excellent restaurant on site which serves traditional Tuscan cuisine. Angelo the owner is a gracious and friendly man who takes pride in his food, wine and olive oil. We had a fabulous stay here and would recommend it to anyone who wants the experience of staying in a 16th Century work of Art!

Review 5:Lovely hosts - nothing too much trouble. Fabulous house - the ceilings!! Beautiful grounds Peaceful location First class restaurant in the grounds

Review 6:the rooms are quite basic and the bathroom very small. If you like comfort, this is not the place.

Review 7:The property is amazing although you will not see all the beautiful rooms. the breakfast is good the staff very nice. The dinner next door is tastful in a nice ambiance.

Review 8:It was a fascinating experience to stay in such a unique property. We were able to have an excellent meal at a restaurant within the same grounds. Although our stay was very short, leaving early for the airport, breakfast was available earlier than normal. I would visit this property again.

Review 9:The wifi could have been better in the room but this is only a trivial point; wifi reception was much better around the front desk.

Review 10:The surroundings, the Vila itself and the staff were great.

Review 11:Can be difficult to locate....older quaint property. Interesting bed....no air con

Review 12:Location....very quiet...lovely grounds We stayed here 25 years ago during our honeymoon trip....just had to end this years trip as we did all those years ago

Review 13:Villa di Corliano is house where you enter the 18th century, in a hospitable way. The rooms are comfortable, though no a/c, the whole interior authentic and the park beautiful. Breakfast outside is a treat for body and soul.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:I can't wait to go back! It was my favorite night of a three week trip to Italy.. Staff was so kind, restaurant was incredible. I felt taken back in time and wish I had planned two nights there..very relaxing!

Review 16:The villa is fantastic and so full of history and class. Surroundings are beautiful and the proximity of the restaurant on the premises is so convenient. We greatly enjoyed the overall experience there! We'll be back one day...

Review 17:I had trouble finding the location. Although it's right on the main road (well... a country road) and has a big sign in front, the location where I was directed by GPS/booking.com was inaccurate, so I had to ask around. Not so great to do in the dark, in a remote village, but it was OK in the end as the local people proved to be very nice.

Review 18:The villa is awesome, around 400 years old and greatly conserved. It has a great park where you can spend the evening having a glass of wine, accompanied by Nino - the nice & friendly cat who's wandering around all day and night. They have an "osteria" where they serve genuine italian food, really tasty and fair priced. The staff is great and really kind; they will be happy to tell you a lot about the place and show you around if you ask them. Parking is not a problem.

Review 19:Facilities (bathroom, bed ...) rather cheap and tacky in comparison to the building

Review 20:The picturesque, totally unspoilt historic building (15th century) and grounds. Friendly staff.

Review 21:We liked everything!

Review 22:The old, classy, romantic atmosphere. The quiteness of the place. The friendliess of the staff. The breakfast.

Review 23:Beautyful historic villa.

Review 24:Gorgeous place, excellent restaurant on site, comfortable spacious room, lovely continental breakfast. Like staying in a bit of Italian history!

Review 25:faboulous old villa with wall paintings and huge private gardens - gives you the feeling of living centuries back!

Review 26:Not many attractions near. If you gotta car, stay a couple nights.

Review 27:This place was built in 1536. Totally awesome architecture. Lovely grounds. Good food. AND quiet. Although i hear the banquet facilities are lit-up on the weekends....

Review 28:Absolutely stunning area. The building and the surrounding gardens were stunning. The restaurant on site was open for lunch and dinner which suited our eating style. The food there was exceptional.

Review 29:Al though it is mentioned that cleaning of the room costs, one would expect that the room is cleaned on the basics like towel change for example, which is not the case. Recommended to upgrade the basics in the room like a true hotel room, regardless that it is promoted as a B&B operation. Bathroom small and staff could be a bit friendlier.

Review 30:The place is amazing, be back into history of the grand villas in Italy. Beautiful environment and offers an gourmet treat at the restaurant on the same property. Room spacious

Review 31:small and wet bathroom

Review 32:if you wish to live in historical place - this Villa is for you. Park and house is very romantic but do not expect 5 stars service.

Review 33:One of the best residence in my life!

Review 34:Location within immediate vicinity of Pisa and in a stunning park. Loved the reception and breakfast area.

The Fine Print
