Reviews for Palazzo Bezzi Hotel
Review 1:breakfast not to comment ! evening front desk indifferent not working heating system!!
Review 2:morning shift lady excellent, accurate and prompt quick wi-fi & free
Review 3:Could not get a hot drink in the hotel except at breakfast AND NO FACILITY TO MAKE IT IN THE ROOM! No real storage drawers in the room. No tissue paper in the room. Car park quite far away.
Review 4:Staff were very nice. Well looked after at breakfast. Room cleaned well and at a convenient time. Good bathroom and very good non leaking shower.
Review 5:Great location near the center and all attractions, there is no parking at the hotel, but we parked in the parking area along the road next to the hotel and because it was Sunday, it was free. The staff are friendly, breakfast is excellent.
Review 6:The heating was set a little cool for me and could not be turned up from the room. Reception were very happy to turn it up for me so wasn't really a problem, would just have preferred to be able to do it myself.
Review 7:Warm and Friendly Staff, Comfy bed, Excellent wifi, Tasty breakfast, thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Review 8:Temperature control needs some attention. It was a cold time of the year, and it was chilly in the room after any absents. Anyhow, staircase was very warm. Few steps to the lobby and then to elevator- can be an issue for handling a larger suitcases. Gym is small but functional, has somewhat claustrophobic feel to it - no windows.
Review 9:Clean, modern and welcoming feel to the lobby and rooms. Great cappuccino is a fine addition to a nice free breakfast. Location is beautiful and convenient - just 2 blocks removed from noisy part of downtown. View-point - a top floor/roof deck ( photos attached ) Room 501 on a top floor has a wall of "frosted" windows - pretty weird and somewhat uncomfortable for a longer stay. My polite request to exchange this room to other room with normal windows was accommodated with understanding. Thank you! Steam room has a luxurious feel, if opened. Gym is small but functional. Central staircase is a great option to walk up or down.
Review 10:Cannot think of anything we didn't like. We stayed as 2 adults, 2 small children.
Review 11:1. Friendly staff, always helpful. We needed a kettle, which was promptly provided. On the other request the staff searched for an open pharmacy during a public holiday. Help with luggage to the floor. 2. Very clean and modern hotel. 3. Excellent sound insulation and located in the quite part of the city. 4. 5 minutes walk from city centre. 5. Fast wi-fi throughout the hotel.
Review 12:Everyone has to drag bags few steps to elevator- same back. Wad cold in the room sometimes but very hot in corridor on a top floor. Top floor room 501 has frosted windows. Gym has claustrophobic feel, but top line 3 pieces of equipment.
Review 13:Very clean and location is perfect. Spent 2 weeks in hotel. Room 501 (which i booked )is on a top floor and has full wall of windows...out of frosted glass. Can see just a sky in a strip of clear glass near ceiling. Asked to be moved for that reason. My request was granted with understanding. Thank you!
Review 14:The Palazzo Bezzi Hotel is most conveniently situated within easy walking distance of Ravenna's town centre. The staff of this smart, elegant hotel were charming and helpful, and our room with a garden view was stylish and comfortable. We had a delightful stay there and look forward to going again.
Review 15:18€ daily hotel rate for parking with garage down the street (3 blocks) but drop off area in front of hotel for loading and unloading. Free parking also available a little further away but not sure about security there so we opted for the paid parking.
Review 16:Great reception, very helpful. Nice location, breakfast and room.
Review 17:Fairly central location about a 10 minute walk from Piazza del Popolo. Great breakfast with lots of choice, lovely big room and very comfy big bed. Big bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Perfect stay!
Review 18:I don't really feel this hotel has enough facilities to warrant a 4 star rating, it is more similar to other 3 star hotels we have stayed in. The small spa incurred a fee of 25 euros an hour and some of the staff were very rude.
Review 19:The breakfast was great, staff in the cafe were excellent.
Review 20:Driving in Ravenna is very difficult and trying to get to the hotel itself was a very long process.
Review 21:Location was optimalwith many things within walking distance.
Review 22:Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Monica even printed out a museum ticket from my email. Breakfast was wonderful and included both European and American selections. Room was well appointed and I enjoyed the luxury of the heated towel rack. Will definitely recommend this property!
Review 23:Spa is extra 25 euro an hour. Pretty basic facilities. Moldy smelling.
Review 24:The Girls at the front desk are very welcoming and treated us as their personal guest. The beds were very comfy.
Review 25:Spa facilities overpriced at 15 Euros for 2 people for half an hour and 25 Euros for one hour.
Review 26:Well appointed rooms, very nice staff, very close to city centre
Review 27:The room was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and courteous. The location is close to the train station (10 minute walk) and lots of shops and museums.
Review 28:-
Review 29:Nice, clean and comfortable Hotel with very hospitable and helpful staff. Excellent location to visit Ravenna and all the churches and museums. Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo is literally around the corner. If you stay in Ravenna, don't forget to eat at Ca' de Ven, it is a must!
Review 30:I had requested a room on a high floor when booking and was given a room on the ground floor. It was explained to me that they were full and had nothing else, although I know that a colleague had booked there room weeks later than me and with no request still had a room on the third floor. Clothes irons were available on request but with no ironing boards in the hotel it was a little difficult to use - not what you'd expect from a hotel in the 21st century.
Review 31:Location inside the 'restricted traffic' zone was great as the hotel was quiet as the roads outside were safe. The hotel is located just a short stroll to the busy centre and a little further to the train station. The hotel itself was bright and clean and the reception staff very welcoming.
Review 32:Breakfast was not very good, disappointing for a 4* hotel
Review 33:Fantastic room.502, with the most wonderful views. Very close to everything in Ravenna. Very friendly staff. Nice roof top area. Rooms very quiet and exceptionally clean. Very nicely furnished.
Review 34:breakfast limited - could have more fresh fruit. hot food (scrambled egg & sausages) not hot or appetising. No bar/lounge to relax in. only public seating in foyer. Nowhere to get any refreshments during the day.
Review 35:excellent location, helpful staff, comfort of room
Review 36:While the design is modern and clean, it's cold and not very functional. When entering the hotel, you have to lift your luggage six steps and another six from the lobby to the lift. The staff are hepful but only when you ask. The bottom line is that the hotel lacks a welcoming warmth. There is no bar and no kettle in the room.
Review 37:This a designer boutique hotel. The location is good and everything in town is within 10 minutes walking distance.
Review 38:No on site parking, but safe parking not far away. Breakfast was surprisingly ordinary for such a lovely hotel
Review 39:The hotel is quiet and luxurious, not far from attractions. The front desk staff smile and could not be more helpful.
Review 40:The breakfast could have more diversity but it's already very good
Review 41:Every things, the rooms are very well, the location is perfect near the old town and the staff is very friendly
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:Stayed as a family in a family suit rom when travelling Europe. Extended our stay for 2 more days since the service and hotel was so nice. 5 star hotel charging like a 3 star...
Review 44:The location of the hotel is good for road trip. If you don't have a car, it is possible to move closer to the city.
Review 45:Great staff! Great design! The hotel is equipped with a good system that let things runs smoothly without any trouble. Staff is very friendly with lots of help. This hotel is the best choice for road trip.
Review 46:Luigi, the night desk person is an extremely arrogant and unpleasantperson. Second night into our stay, the aircon in our room wouldn'tturn on. I asked him for help and he arrogantly said "there'san on and off button" to which I replied we tried it and itdidn't work work. Turns out the hotel has a system which cuts offthe aircon if there are windows open in the room. As we didn't touchthe windows and were out the whole day, we did not know this. He came toour room to insist that the windows were open and he looked at us likewe were liars. Turns out the staff had opened them but he was totallyunapologetic, completely arrogant and unpleasant. He acted like its wasa favor to us to turn on the aircon. We were so upset with his behaviorthat we cut out stay short. When we complained about it to the hotelmanager, he was not only unhelpful, he was extremely arrogant as well.Going so far as to say that he didn't care what we did so long as wepaid 'clearly this hotel cares more for money to than the actualwell being of its guests. Would not recommend it at all. Breakfast staffwere likewise not very nice and seemed uninterested in doing their jobs. The only good point was Letizia at the desk who was very nice andactually apologized for both Luigi and the manager. It's a shame shewas the only nice one.
Review 47:Location and spaciou room
Review 48:Easy walk to/from train station. The hotel has amenities usually found only in much more expensive facilities. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful, and speak excellent English. Breakfast has to be seen to be believed.
Review 49:I was met very unfriendly by the night receptionist when I’ve come to the hotel by May 30, 2015. Despite I’ve arrived before the fines coming he sermonized me very strictly that he couldn’t preauthorize my card. “To calm” him I have paid the all sum of reservation straight away. As result I got the room at the first floor nearly to the lift instead of the quiet room at upper storey which has been mentioned as desirable during booking. Absolutely on the contrary all ladies stuff at reception was extremely kind, friendly and helpful at the time of my stay. I believe that the hotel management should think how one “black sheep” could spoil the whole impression about the hotel.
Review 50:My only complaint was the breakfast, which could have offered a bit more variety. I missed fresh fruit and a wider selection of breads. They always had three kinds of cakes, but I generally don't eat cake for breakfast. This was minor, however, since the hotel overall was wonderful.
Review 51:The hotel is conveniently located to the historic centre of Ravenna, with walking distance to all the sights. Bezzi is modern, clean, quiet, and just about perfect.
Review 52:Our deLuxe room was located in front of the hotel, on a busy street. Wecould not change since the hotel was fully booked. Rooms in the back, especially the oasis rooms seem to be the best.
Review 53:The staff was very friendly. The hotel is recently built and very nice.
Review 54:Dark rooms. Lack of lighting and artwork. While the bathroom had a remote-controlled jet tub, there was no kleenex anywhere! The sheets were too small for the bed, which consisted of two twins ganged together. Overall, too expensive for what we got. Lack of nearby, secure parking.
Review 55:Clean, new room. Generally well-appointed. Location. Breakfast.
Review 56:Water in the shower was changing temperature. I was on the top floor. More noticeable it was in the morning. It is only thing I noticed which was not perfect during my 2 weeks stay.
Review 57:Location is pretty central but still quiet. Rooms are very comfy, modern and clean. ******* Great thing that Bezzi had a pretty good quality free breakfast, which includes scrambled eggs - rare find in Italy. Barista's services for amazing cappuccino were available after breakfast hours as well ( but for a small fee) as well as a little free nibbles and fruit all day long. I want to share one personal experience with Bezzi staff. - I got "served" a vase into my room without me asking for it... I was gifted a huge bouquet of flowers, and I just brought it to my room, put it into the sink in my hotel room and left...When I came back to my room - I found my bouquet standing in a huge glass vase on the table by window. It was so nice and touching!
Review 58:Pillows either too soft and thin or too hard and high. Did not sleep well and had stiff neck in morning. Similar experience for a colleague in a different room.
Review 59:Good location. Helpful staff. Nice room. Good breakfast.
Review 60:Excellent location, convenient for walking to the many UNESCO heritage sites. Free parking lot a short walk from the hotel; paid parking on the street; unloading zone for luggage in front of hotel. Room was large, nicely decorated, comfortable. Recently renovated (1 year ago). Very nice. Excellent value.
Review 61:A lack of atmosphere in the bar (but it was off season) No room kettle for tea/coffee making. I had to walk a good distance to park my car for free. Street parking is limited to 2 hours so if you have young children this could be tricky.
Review 62:The staff were all very friendly and helpful in pointing out what local sights to see and where to go shopping etc. The room I had was one of the 'Panoramic' ones on the top floor. At 99 Euros a night off season seemed good value. The room was clean, spacious, had high quality fixtures and fittings, a mini bar and a very comfortable bed. The internet connection on the free Wi-Fi was good too.Free included breakfast. The most useful thing about the hotel is the location, it's very handy for the town centre.
Review 63:I reserved for 3 rooms. 2 had a problem and couldn't come. I ask to pay the no show but to be kind and make me a discount because it was a business trip and inconvenient can happen. my request rejected...I had to pay fully 3 rooms
Review 64:Leaving.
Review 65:This was my second stay this year, and I was not disappointed. There have been some economies, but the hotel is still excellent value for money: fair-sized, clean and comfortable rooms, good service, very pleasant staff and a good breakfast. The hotel is well situated but still quiet. Dekra and Monica at the front desk are its two greatest assets.
Review 66:My only dislike was the breakfast was a little basic and not particularly good, however it was adequate. It would be nice if there was a bar area to get drinks or coffees but it's not a big problem as there are plenty of local cafes around.
Review 67:Great hotel in a great location. Staff could not be more helpful. Very clean, light and spacious room and bathroom. Would happy to recommend it as a great hotel to stay in and would happily stay there again.
Review 68:The rooms were obviously not sound-proofed as a neighbouring guest with a cough disturbed us during the night, and people leaving early in the morning were audible enough to wake us up although they were not unduly noisy.
Review 69:We liked the whole atmosphere of the hotel, but as we had a discounted price, we can only recommend it from this point of view. The room was compact but well furnished and the bathroom also. We had a view of the garden too. The receptionist was delightful and also very helpful.
Review 70:Small refrigerator, no screens on the windows and mosquitos presence
Review 71:Easy public parking, good breakfast, clean rooms though my daughter was doing her best to make a mess, clean bathrooms, friendly stuff
Review 72:There is not enough space to put your toiletries in the bathroom. You have to walk a lot to restaurants and shops.
Review 73:Clean and comfortable. Shower room is spacious.
Review 74:Extremely happy with everything.
Review 75:The room was enormous with extremely comfortable bed; luxurious bath; all amenities were great; staff went way above and beyond to help us with a particular need.
Review 76:Wonderful room. Great bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Best breakfast we have seen in Italy. Location easily walkable to the major Ravenna sites. And the price was reasonable. This is a great place to stay.
Review 77:Nothing.
Review 78:Everything - staff, service, location, room/suite, breakfast ...... We stayed here 9 nights during the dragon-boat races. Crew mates stayed at other places. This was the best for a home base!! I'm glad we stayed here. If Ravenna was closer, I'd come back frequently for short get-aways. (I'm in Canada)
Review 79:constant music playing in reception that you can hear in the rooms limited tv channels
Review 80:good breakfast apart from the cooked element clean, comfortable room in a well run hotel
Review 81:The location of Palazzo Bezzi was excellent as it was within easy walking distance of all major sites whilst also situated outside of ZTL. Carparking directly outside hotel to enable unloading of luggage and checkin was great and we were then directed to private secure parking just outside ZTL close by. The room was very comfortable, breakfast was good and staff helpful. Thank you for assistance with luggage on checkout!! We would definitely stay here again!
Review 82:As we didn't have breakfast in the hotel I would have liked there to be tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Review 83:We loved this hotel for many reasons not least because of the friendly, helpful staff, the central location and tasteful beautifully decorated interior. It's wonderfully quiet which is a must for me but so is Ravenna itself. Should we find ourselves in that part of Italy at some future stage I'd definitely stay there again
Review 84:Lift is slow Too bad there were mosquitos, the garden is lovely
Review 85:Staff are outstanding Room was beautifully appointed Location is excellent Airport transfer was well organized and punctual
Review 86:The lady in the reception (I believe she speak Arabic too) was excellent and most co-operative. There was no facility in the room for coffee and tea making, and when I asked this lady, within no time she brought me everything. She is the real asset for the hotel
Review 87:minor point is that the room we hadwas advertised as having a view. unfortunately, the large panel windows were frosted up to approximately 5 feet, and while I could barely look over the frost, my wife could not. Not sure why they frosted it so high, dropping it a foot lower would have done the trick. otherwise, I wouldn't advertise it as a room with a view. but the room made up for it in other ways.
Review 88:My wife and I just loved the place. The room was clean, and as we got one of the bigger rooms, it was extremely spacious. Best small boutique style hotel that I have been in a while. Staff was extremely friendly. Certainly our best hotel through our trips through Bologna, Ravenna, Rome and Istanbul. Also, good value for money. Nice trattoria across the street . Would definitely book this hotel and room again.
Review 89:No assistance was offered with baggage and there are 2 short flights of steps to the lifts which might challenge some with heavy luggage.
Review 90:Facilities were well designed. Reception were extremely helpful for advice and parking. The Wifi was a no nonsense system that worked well.
Review 91:Lack of variety at breakfast, but very helpful and friendly waiter.
Review 92:Friendly staff - perfect English but happy to encourage you to speak Italian; modern, slightly minimalist design; vert comfortable; well located near the centre of Ravenna.
Review 93:Close to rail station and the central shops and sites, off the busier streets so much quieter. Wonderful modern room and luxurious bathroom. Excellent wifi. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 94:Service mind of Staff !! They charged additional payment for what I never used mini-bar after check-out. They said always as typical reply, because you used mini-bar, you used 2 bottles of water and peanut... I swear I had not gotten But they do not try to solve guest's inconvenience like this matter.
Review 95:Breakfast is good...
Review 96:No tea, coffee or water to drink in the room. Room 208 was a family room, though ceiling had low head height and small windows. We were immediately moved to room 308 after mentioning to reception...this was a superior room, in which we stayed for a week.
Review 97:Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Excellent central location, and very quiet for sleeping. Good breakfast. Spotless hotel, super clean every day. Lots of attention to detail.
Review 98:We have stayed at this hotel twice and absolutely loved it on both occasions. There wasn't anything we didn't like except perhaps the fact that we didn't have a view from our window this time, the window we had looked onto a blank wall and like like a lot more natural light, not a major problem though and it wouldn't prevent us from staying again. Exceptional receptionists!
Review 99:Wifi did not always work properly in the room, our room in the 1st floor was quite dark (the only window faced a inner courtyard)
Review 100:Location, breakfast, fitness facilities, modern style
Review 101:A 15 min walk to the main square. The hotel is very well refurbished, but the effect is a bit soulless. The higher price of the hotel than its rivals provides extras like towel dressing-gowns, but nothing of real value.
Review 102:Bright, clean well appointed room. Assiduous service - the loo seat cracked and was mended within 3 hours without our mentioning it. Good breakfast included in price. Easy, cheap parking on the street outside the hotel.
Review 103:Travelers might need more instruction on using room key for air conditioner. This was new technology for us. Perhaps just asking the guest if they are familiar with it.
Review 104:The bed was extremely comfortable. Concierge was wonderful.
Review 105:The coffee at the breakfast was terrible.
Review 106:The room was clean and delicat, and we got a big round bed. The breakfast room was nice, and with a standard continental menu. The restaurant recommended by the hotel across the street was realy good. We had lunch there both days and recommend this further!
Review 107:Internet connection in the room wasn't good, wi-fi was constantly dissapearing.
Review 108:Well located, clean, spacious, convenient if coming by car, good breakfast.
Review 109:I asked for a room onto the main street. I didnt get one on first night as all booked out. the second night I got a room with an amazing big window overlooking the garden.
Review 110:everything.Staff. breakfast. Amazing room. decor. garden.
Review 111:Nothing really - but for this type of hotel they should make sure that everything is super super clean...
Review 112:Loved it all: the hotel, the room, the staff, the location, everything!
Review 113:Internet was a little bit slow.
Review 114:Very close to most places of Interest in Ravenna.
Review 115:Great staff
Review 116:- Breakfast selection can be improved
Review 117:- Central Location (In front of Sant'Apollinare Nuova) - Free Wi-Fi - Good Value for Cost
Review 118:Your helpful friendly staff and the very comfortable and spacious room.
Review 119:Convenient and a very nice hotel with a great breakfast.
Review 120:incredible localisation, near everywhere
Review 121:lovely staff who were friendly and welcoming, very comfortable room and spotless bathroom, excellent breakfast.
Review 122:Everything was perfect
Review 123:very friendly and competent front desk staff; very good breakfast; excellent location
Review 124:A little tricky to navigate to the hotel given the traffics restrictions.
Review 125:Most helpful staff.
Review 126:Their breakfast was ok but not spectacular.
Review 127:The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. They made excellent restaurant recommendations
Review 128:Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable.
