Reviews for Park Hotel Sant'Elia

Review 1:The Swimming pool was closed, which was our main reason for booking this hotel. The continental breakfast was very poor. The bar was very poorly stocked.

Review 2:The room and hotel reception were comfortable and clean

Review 3:Could have better breakfast selection. WIFI was complicated. Requires registration rather than password.

Review 4:About 7 mins walking distance from the Safari zoo park. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Room temperature was perfect and the nightly price rate is affordable. Does not require credit card to book reservation. I would definitely stay there again if my Family comes back for a trip.

Review 5:We couldn't use the hotel pool unless we paid extra to rent a swimming cap! Who takes a swimming cap on holiday? We couldn't use the sun beds around the pool unless we paid extra to hire them! I have never come across this before. Paying guests are not generally charged extra to use a hotel pool are sunbeds. Also the pool attendant was a bit chamless

Review 6:Generally friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good value for money.

Review 7:I would recommend bringing your own pillows, as they were a bit thin and hard. The bed for the kids was squeaky but they slept, so it couldn't have been so bad.

Review 8:The staff members were mostly very polite and professional. Our Italian is fair at best and they spoke English within their abilities (we are living in Italy now and have found everywhere that IF you attempt the language, they will meet you halfway). They immediately offered the discount card for the zoo upon our arrival and gave us our room key although we arrived three hours early. Due to weather, the pool wasn't open as late as stated (rain off and on-more of a disappointment for the kids, ages 4 and 8) but again, that was a precaution and not something I can complain about. It appeared clean and refreshing, though. The hotel is very easy to find, and near an excellent pizza spot within five minutes drive. Parking was ample, and the hotel was extremely clean. It's also only a fifteen minute drive from the Adriatic, which is quite a sight and you can see it from the hotel, as it sits on top of a hill. The restaurant had very good food, but it is hotel expensive. Lunch for one order of antipasto for us, a glass of wine, two sodas, and an order of pasta fagioli, which was all great, was 40 euro. Just be prepared for that. Breakfast is typical Italian fair, cereal (they bring warm milk to the table for that), fresh fruit, ham, cheese, fresh pastry, and they include the espresso. They even made hot cocoa in the morning for the kids. They have a case for ice cream treats, potato chips, espresso and soda that the front desk staff is trained to use, and therefore open whenever someone is at the desk. We never noticed someone NOT there! We will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Review 9:Their convoluted procedure for WiFi access never worked. They should reconsider it.

Review 10:Breakfast was poor and the breakfast staff were unfriendly.

Review 11:Good price, comfy beds and lovely view.

Review 12:Staff not very informed, hard beds and pillows, difficult to find

Review 13:Clean, close to Fasano, nice views and pool, spacious room

Review 14:5euro charge each day for pool lounger and hat (which must be worn)

Review 15:lovely pools, nice room, very friendly reception staff

Review 16:The breakfast was very plain and options were limited to coffee and treats.

Review 17:This hotel is perfect if you are visiting the Zoo/Safari. It was a 1 minute drive to the zoo.

Review 18:Rooms were basic at best. Beds and pillows were hard as rocks. Whenusing shower it soaked the bathroom floor. The "A/C" was ajoke. It was so hot even when it was on max and turned to the lowestsetting. We all had a hard time sleeping because of the heat. The poolwas so dirty we couldn't even use it and tried to book spa servicesand they closed early refusing service. I don't recommend this placeto anyone.

Review 19:Great location for the zoo safari

Review 20:The pool was very cold. The area directly around the hotel was very quiet in the evening with nothing within walking distance.

Review 21:Good service at reception, at the poolside and in the restaurant. Location was good next to the safari pari park / small theme park and close to neighbouring towns. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. Free wifi.

Review 22:Unfortunately I have to say that we were a little disappointed for the small range of choices for the breakfast: we found just croissant end sweet cakes, which could be enough for an Italian like me, but my girlfriend, who is used to have a rich English breakfast, was a little disappointed. I also find some lack with the reception team. Despite these opinions above, I still recommend this hotel as we had a great time.

Review 23:We went to Fasano in first place to visit the Zoo Safari, and the location of the hotel was excellent(3 min. Walking to the Zoo). Also the cleaness of the room and its features such as a small fridge to store your own drinks, were very good. Also we had 7€ discount for the zoo ticket ( however, we were not informed about this from the front desk, I had to ask them if there were some promotions for the Zoo nearby.

Review 24:Poor breakfast, no cheese, no ham - no breakfast. Pool was out of order, but it was end of may. Service charge at the dinner is 2.50. No balcony in the room.

Review 25:Perfect for ZooSafari Park nearby. Perfect coffee of Quarta local brand. Big parking place. Open terrace for breakfast.

Review 26:Service - the receptionist hardly spoke English... Facilities - the poolthat is shown in the leaflet had no water... Sea view? Very funny...Maybe you can see the sea from the hotel but in fact it's about 5 kmfurther... And the biggest suprise - why the hotel which name is ParkHotel Sant'Elia, in reality is called Express Hotel? It was reallydifficult to find it...

Review 33:Good starting point for Puglias main atractions. The room was good andvery clean. Private parking.

Review 34:Park Hotel San'tElia is a nice, clean hotel in peaceful location surrounded by olive trees. It has a nice swimming pool where is good to relax when it's extremely hot outside. Breakfast is self service, so enough for more than cup of coffee and biscuit :)
