Review 1：Stayed there with my wife, we loved it. Good location and quiet hotel ; they have an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it, you won't regret it.

Review 3：Well set out hotel, awesome view from the upstairs balcony common area and restaurant fresco area. Breakfast fantastic. Staff very friendly and massage absolutely relaxing. Few minutes drive from marina and beach, definitely walkable. Really glad we stayed here for our last 2 nights in Sardinia.

Review 10：Not so much as a bad experience but observations, as lovely as the staff were this is not a 4 star hotel by UK standards so if you can get a good deal on your stay the better, the hotel is on a hill out of town and a good 20min walk but we needed the exercise so it didn't matter to us. Evening meals were being asked for in the morning at breakfast which for four a 4 star is odd but we didn't eat evening meals in the hotel so can't comment, the breakfast however, eggs, bacon, sausage etc was in a metal container and on the 2 occasions I tried it was cold and not being kept hot.

Review 13：Rooms were very cramped, no sea/pool view ... just a view of a carpark. Requested rooms next door to each other but ended up at opposite end of a corridor. Shower door wouldn't shut without difficulty, cracked floor tiles, cheap drawer unit which had not been put together properly so had great difficulty opening and shutting drawers. Very little English literature, only discovered there was a free shuttle bus to beach on leaving. No one on reception when we left at 7am despite checking that there would be the night before. Wouldn't go again unless guareenteed a better quality room.

Review 14：Liked the town of Palau, beds were fairly comfortable and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily. Well kept pretty gardens/pool area. Good quality sun beds by pool. Breakfast buffet was good.

Review 15：The breakfast is great, but the orange juice was made from concentrate and tasted like water. It's far from Palau harbour, if you don't have a car. TV wasn't working. We didn't try to understand why, because at the end of the day, we went there to sleep, not to watch TV.

Review 17：We only stayed one night (our last night) as we were on a neighbouring island but the ferry times were not early enough for us to catch our flight home. The hotel was a nice size with a fairly big pool and lots of sunbeds. You could get to the marina on foot although it was a hilly walk back to the hotel so a car would be better for older couples or children. Marina was small but pretty with a few nice restaurants and bars. Other marinas and beaches accessible by car. In general I would recommend hiring a car for anywhere in Sardinia so you can explore the lovely beaches and views.

Review 20：The feeling of living at the hotel is more being in a camping than a 4* hotel: -Children's activities performed at the swimming pool with a loud music that was invading all the surrondings, no way to use that area to rest, neither the room the music was too loud. - In which good hotel do they ask you what are you going to have for dinner, included the kind of water, at the breakfast time? - Night activities, performed in such a way that is impossible to get rest before midnight. First a singer in a place not more that 10 m away of the room's doors, later all the children running around without any parent's or hotel personnel control. - The hotel personnel is very young and not expert, they do not speak a word of english... so they dont understand the guests questions and answer wrongly. When the guests complain about the noises, just say yes yes... - The rooms are small and very badly maintained. Not in a european 4* standard at all. In room 105 the shower was really small, leaking water outside, and partly repaired with silicon. All the bathroom had a lot of old holes of previous appliances, and some other broken things still there like the hands towel support. The room's door didn't close properly so, when the wind was blowing the noise was like having a wolf hauling in the room... and wind blows a lot of days in Sardinia. - The Wifi ... a joke: you can connect to the hotel's wifi but from there to the internet, almost impossible! it was very low speed and disconecting every 5 minutes. - Air conditioning system: very noisy, and working "alone" at 23 degrees when the key of the room was out of it's place!

Touristic Information is very poor at the hotel(although available in the village).

Review 52：Hotel Palau is a competently run installation with comfortable andspacious rooms. The location is fairly good and functions as anexcelent base to know Costa Esmeralda without damaging your budget.Special mention to the staff that have been very helpful (Angela, AnnaRita and Manoele).

Review 53：The Hotel looks tired and the pictures are misleading. 4 Star rating ??? Guests drying clothing on shrubs. Loud music from bar area. Bitter disappointment. No comparison to the other 3 Hotels we stayed in Sardinia on the same trip.

Review 55：There was music until very late 23:30 It was impossible to watch TV or sleep early. The window of the bathroom was the only one with views to the sea very small and if you opened people outside could see you. One light of the room was broken we asked to change it but they never did it. When we flushed the toilet made terrible noises. The bath sink sometimes moved and we couldn't open the door. In general this hotel could never be a 4 star.

Review 57：The young man at reception offered us a room where the wi-fi signal didn't reach. We tried hard to connect but it was impossible. We asked for another room and he said it was impossible because it was full. We said we wanted to leave then, out came the manager pretending to be very gentle and after more than an hour ( in which we had found out that the hotel was not full vía our tablet in the wi-fi area) he offered us a room...a ghost room! Which had suddenly appeared! This behaviour was shameful. The rooms smell of humidity, the toilets are disgusting...Old shower, water flooding out of it, dirty and old. The worst hotel experience ever.

Review 61：This is not a 4stars hotel. They shouldn't charge 150 euros (or 89with the smart deal) for a room. We stayed in b&b the whole trip andexpected to be the best hotel of our trip and end up being the worst.Everything was old-fashioned, dirty. This hotel needs a deep renovation. The breakfast is nothing special. The pool was dirty and we couldn't take a shower cause it was broken... I don't want to talk about the fridge of the bedroom... Please do not make the same mistake as us.

Review 63：BREAKFAST: extremely poor quality and variety. Salted food is limited to one type of cheese and one type of fat ham of the lowest quality, boiled and always broken eggs, scrambled eggs and sometimes rice or beans. More choice for sweet food, but it always tastes of preservative. Cakes are not fresh. Juice tastes like water with colorant. Cereals are old and there is only canned fruit, only sometimes some grape is available. After 9.30 replacement of food is scarce, although breakfast lasts until 10 and you always need to ask to the stuff to bring extra water, napkins, cutlery and so on.DINNER: We tried dinner and it was better than the breakfast, but nothing special. They ask male guests to wear long trousers, but unfortunately they make you sitting inside with no air conditioning so you will sweat a lot.POOL: The pool area does not have any shade area and it is surrounded by walls so there is no wind either. Basically impossible to stay there except in the late afternoon.LOCATION: Directions and entrance are not well indicated. Location is bad if you do not have a car. It is far from beaches and center. The village is small and one can walk, but the hotel is on top of a hill and it is not pleasant to come back from the center. Further the streets to get there are empty, so it is not a pleasant stroll.SHUT:TLE There is a shuttle service to the beach and the center 6 times a day. It is definitely too few, and the schedule is bad and not really respected. Neither the minivan nor the driver seem very safe.ROOM: The hotel is in a serious need of renovation: The shutters do not close, the bathroom is dark and the shower is with an old dirty curtain. The floor all around is made or a bad looking and dirty material. The room are basic to be a 4 star hotel. There are very limited amenities: no pen, no glasses, few hangers in the closet... I was also expecting a drying rack for towels and swimsuits in an hotel at the seaside, but nothing.

Review 64：The view is nice, but does not worth the holiday here. The room we had was big and the bad quite comfortable. It was quiet although located in an area where a lot of people passes by. The first impression is positive and one can take also nice pictures in the hotel and of the view all around, but when looking at the details it is clear that there is a lot of room for improvement.

Review 66：The day of our arrival the staff was absolutely dreadful, crude and rude. Not helpful at all. We were traveling with our 1,5 year baby, which we had previously written at the time of booking. However no cot was provided and the man who attended us treated us in a very bad way and did not even try to find a solution. The first room we were assigned was out of order, as the tube was stuck so no water could pass. Then we were offered a different room, but where the smell of humidity was just unbearable. The decor of the room is old-fashioned and the bathroom itself is really old and needs remodeling. They also seemed to earn up on cleaning as the whole hotel was quite dirty. Finally, the breakfast was poor and did not correspond to the 4-start hotel. I would never recommend to stay in there!!! An overall very bad experience!
