Reviews for Amanohashidate Youth Hostel

Review 1:n/a

Review 2:the price, the accommodations and the flexibility were great and the location though a bit remote was in a very interesting but unique location. The facility had everything we needed and I can't think of much that wasn't available unless you are high maintenance.

Review 3:The building has a vacant, impersonal, YMCA-like vibe to it, but the coziness of the rooms and the forest setting more than made up for it.

Review 4:Loved the natural setting of the hostel. Beds were very comfy. Took a bath in the artificial onsen, which was amazing after a day of hiking in the rain! Kettle, microwave and fridge available for guests.

Review 5:The beds were just awful, very hard and uncomfortable :( The pillows were also the really hard plastic pellet filled type, I ended up sleeping on a folded jumper :/

Review 6:The dinner and breakfast provided by the staff (for an additional charge) were delicious! There's also a beautiful view from the common room, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset over Amanohashidate :) The staff are super helpful, too.

Review 7:My room smelled a bit odd and its far away from the Amanohashidate train station! You need to take a bus for 25 minutes and then walk 10 minutes up the hill.

Review 8:Big rooms, nice commom room and friendly staff

Review 9:This was one of the best youth hostels I've been to so far. Each room offers great a great view over Amanohashidate and the atmosphere in the community room is very relaxed.

Review 10:The beds and sofas in the common room were a bit over used I think.

Review 11:The soap was made to suit nature and visitors were asked to ise only this soap. The Japanese breakfast was great especially the salmon. I wasn't expected a Japanese style bath which I loved! The location is so calm.

Review 12:Staff was really really nice. Helped me when I had problems with booking the next hostel, and also organized my way back to Osaka

Review 13:nothing :D

Review 14:staff, food, comfort, value for money, and books :D

Review 19:Location is up a steep slope. May not be convenient for old people

Review 20:Convinent to the nearest observatory

Review 21:Lack of privacy (someone entered our room at 4am, and left the door wide open).

Review 22:Great location Good value for money

Review 23:The owners, Hachchan and her husbend are really lovely people. You can meet this kind of people maybe once in the life, even in Japan. What else is more?

Review 24:The shops and restaurants around close very early in the evening.

Review 25:the staff is nice, there is a beautiful view and the highlights of Amanohashidate are close. Price is very good.

Review 26:I missed the dinner , no information in the booking page. (It's a special dinner in Winter, sad story) Need more sign to the up-hill hostel. Other things in this place is great.

Review 27:The common room is big and comfort. Staff has a good English language skill. Home made ice-cream is delicious. I like this place.
