Reviews for Hotel Beauregard
Review 1:Old, outdated, carpets in hallways dirty, I had to ask for another room as the one allocated had plaster falling off the roof and no curtains. No better than a hostel
Review 2:24 hr reception.
Review 3:staff were not very friendly breakfast is a rip-off signs are not very visible for second floor you still need to take one flight of stairs to reach elevator
Review 4:well located for visiting Namur
Review 5:Expected a restaurant as it stood in the add for the hotel/ was closed!!! We had for 8 hours and did not want to walk away to eat.... Had not booked if I knew.... Had asked for a quit room/ a LOT of traffic !!!
Review 6:???
Review 7:rooms are not accessible to people with walking disabilities: elevator starts from first floor rather than ground floor
Review 8:good and clean hotel with friendly staff
Review 9:No lifts on ground floor so all luggage has to be carried, no help offered! It was a bit of a maze to find the room.
Review 10:Breakfast was good, rooms clean and comfortable
Review 11:bit of a walk from everything and slightly tricky to find the entrance, has a kind of tacky casino feel but as such is lavishly decorated and really fine as long as you're okay with that
Review 12:room had fridge with free water, kettle, massive window with river veiw, friendly and helpful staff for the local area, near to the citadel, TV
Review 13:Being a group of three travellers, a triple room would be ideal, but booking.com did not show this as available, so had to book two double rooms, so disappointed on arrival for one of those rooms to have 3 beds!
Review 14:Large room
Review 15:rather too hot for me as I was on the sunny side and also could not open the window fully - however the staff were very helpful and enabled me to change my room to the non-sunny side and both windows opened fully
Review 16:location is actually in the Casino building so stop at the Casino to get more info - parking around the side at 5 Euros per night. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Review 17:I was sorry there was no lift as my husband has difficulty getting up stairs but we enquired about this beforehand and we had been told this. However there was no one to help with our luggage.
Review 18:The location was very quiet. Security seemed good and there was an optional secure carpark for an extra 5E.
Review 19:Although there was obviously parking spaces these where not available for the people staying at the hotel and parking tickets where issued if you left your car parked on the spaces in the road. The room was a little dated but otherwise ok. Some of the staff at the casino reception where abrupt to the point of rudeness, treating people like children if they used the wrong door, (which was not clearly marked up).
Review 20:Close to the town and handy for the casino within the building.
Review 21:Hotel occupies a grand building located at the foot of the citadel and on the River bank. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a lovely view and was excellent value for money. Unless you are there to use the Casino, the hotel doesn't offer much else, but as we were only using it as a stopover, it didn't matter as we just went into town for a meal and drinks. The staff were all very helpful, especially the parking attendant who looked after our Vespa.
Review 22:The room decor was a little tired but to be expected with price of room. Very slow WIFI.
Review 23:Great location for stopover from Switzerland to UK, friendly staff, good breakfast, very good value, ideal cot.
Review 24:Too many stairs, the reception lobby and desk are shared with the casino. No A/C and it was in a day of 33*
Review 25:Location in front of the river, good price when compared with others in the area
Review 26:Looks quite plush, with marble floors and sweeping staircases, but the lift didn't start until the 1st floor and a half mile route march, you couldn't park anywhere, the staff didn't speak any English, and there appeared to be a full on fight in the lobby part way through the night!
Review 27:There was a hint of a seedy atmosphere to the place; not due to staff but typically young punters, evidently moneyed, staying there. Also scandalous access to lift - from the first floor after labyrinthine perambulation with heavy luggage: allons-allons, Messieurs-Mesdames!
Review 28:Room, on third floor, was comfortable and on the right side; i.e. facing Citadel mount and not horrendously busy riverside dual carrriageway. Handsome building predating before WWI: must once have been quite a classy place.
Review 29:Strange blue lighting in corridors gave an eerie feel. Didn't bother with casino.
Review 30:Great location, room overlooking the river, just below the citadel. Easy walk to the centre, lots of restaurants.
Review 31:finding the entrance..entrance is not on the river side road
Review 32:rooms are big, value for money, ample parking spaces, very close to Citadel..rooms are clean, service was overall good..didn't try breakfast, seems bit overpriced
Review 33:très bruyant la nuit, les joueurs de casino rentrant et sortant constamment de leurs chambres...
Review 34:Espace, rapport qualité-prix des chambres, facilité de parking
Review 35:The window had no blinds, so the room was a little brighter than I would have liked. To get the free drinks we had tickets for we had to register with the casino which took some time.
Review 36:Requested a river view room and it was certainly worth it for the view. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us free drink tickets on check in. Great deal for the money. I would certainly stay here again.
Review 37:Time it took to become a member of the Casino in order to get the free drink!
Review 38:Parking close by, large rooms overlooking the river at no extra charge, excellent breakfast plus free drink in Casino Bar
Review 39:The whole place stinks with some unidentifiable stench, even rooms. Rooms aren't dirty per se, although they leave a sort unclean impression - walls scratched, furniture seen better days, one of the rooms had huge stain on the bathroom wall. Floor in the corridor creaks loudly (it's an old building though), we felt lucky we stay off season when there were no people roaming it. Room at the top floor was cold and dark, with a single thin window, heating (switched to maximum) made room comfortable to stay at only by morning. I guess it's still OK for the overnight stay, but mostly because it's significantly cheaper than other options nearby.
Review 40:It's inexpensive comparing to other hotels in the area, and there's plenty of rooms to accommodate a group. Free drink is included in the price (although I haven't tried it). There's a parking near the hotel, and you can park overnight for free. Also the old fort is towering right above the place - nice place to visit, but mind the schedule: it's closed around Christmas/New Year.
Review 41:The restaurant menu didn't appeal to us but we found a great one very nearby!
Review 42:Superb location on the banks of the river - we had a great view at no extra cost! Easy parking and only a short walk into the old town.
Review 43:Overprised breakfast (thank God we didn't have).
Review 44:Location only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Namur, and castle, overlooking the river from the large windows of our confortable room.Tea and coffee making fascilities inside our room, and automatic snack/cookie machine in the corridor, made us satisfied.Free light drinks offered us from the reception desk.
Review 45:The soap dish tiled into the wall had been broken, and was a serious hazard when showering, with sharp edges. We arrived early evening when a number of casino users were arriving, and therefore needed to register, which made booking into the room slow
Review 46:This was a budget value hotel. The rooms were large but basic and need to be upgraded Whilst part of the hotel, the room was very quiet
Review 47:No lift from ground to first floor and three flights of stairs. No assistance with luggage. Hotel receptiion alongside Casino reception and only one staff who was more interested in Casino customers, presumably because they make money from them. It must have taken well over forty minutes to check in. Restaurant staff very unhelpful and spoke little english. No english menu.
Review 48:Room and facilities excellent. Food very good. Locatiion on the river very good. Pity about the staff.
Review 49:10-15 minutes to check in PER PERSON, there were 10 of us and I was still waiting 2 hours later. Had to go up the grand staircase followed by 2 further flights of stairs to get to the lift, then more stairs once I reached my floor - not good for people with poor mobility. I had requested a double bed but I had a twin room, was told to push the beds together. When I asked for double bed sheets and duvet I was met with a simple "Non". Very basic room, no curtains, no aircon, no safe
Review 50:Bed was surprisingly comfortable, wifi decent
Review 51:no lift too first floor but managed ok
Review 52:lovely big room overlooking the river with fridge and kettle wifi no messing with codes just connect and away you go agood breakfast with plenty of choice
Review 53:Location off town center; part of a casino; parking ok but full in the evening due to casino visitors i suppose; slight smell, poor decor, very very basic rooms; slow wireless and no wireless for mobile devices.
Review 54:Quite cheap and reasonably clean.
Review 55:Kettle wasn't in room, so front desk gave me keys to another room to get a kettle myself. One of the beds also had a leg missing! General state of rooms was also poor!
Review 56:Breakfast was ok and included in price.
Review 57:Overall run down hotel. Beds were good though. Black corners in the bathroom. Not very well cleaned. Hairs... No elevator to second floor.
Review 58:Close to city center. Breakfast was simple but ok.
Review 59:Smoky corridors. Make sure you ask for a double bed if you want one in the double room or you'll get twin beds.
Review 60:Location was good, just outside of the old centre, though a fair walk from the train station. Room was simple but a good size with everything you need, including a kettle and tea.
Review 61:Staff looked tired and miserable, particularly one male member of staff who was downright rude.
Review 62:A really unusual hotel with an excellent location next to the river and in the shadow of the citadel.
Review 63:The hotel was well located but is past its best. Everything is a little tired and cleanliness is not topmost on the agenda. Basins and showers in our room were similarly 'tired'. We killed a wasp in the breakfast room and it was still there the following breakfast time. The staff need some instruction on things like how to say 'good morning' or even a simple smile. Namur itself was overrated and overpriced. Definitely not on our list to visit again.
Review 64:The lobby/car-park attendant was great, very friendly and always with a smile.
Review 65:nothing
Review 66:the staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean . we had a river view room that was lovely, they let us park the motorbike right under the camera just outside the door so it was safe.
Review 67:Breakfast was rather expensive. I had a discount and think the price was fair. In case of the normal pricing I think it was too much. Entrance is hard to find.
Review 68:It was old.
Review 69:large room
Review 70:no charm
Review 71:location and the free drink a the casino
Review 72:helpful staff
Review 73:Restaurant in the Casino means you have to enter the Casino (security paperwork)
Review 74:Decent room and facilities.
Review 75:There is a persistent unpleasant smell in the corridors - not the rooms.
Review 76:easy location, good local facilities
Review 77:Nothing for handicapped people. Stairs before you get to the elevator. Not a good area! Will never go back here!
Review 78:Nothing!
Review 79:Above 1st floor all very poor
Review 80:Staff
Review 81:Needed a little updating
Review 82:View from the room , value for money
Review 83:Breakfast is more or less ok but coffee and juices are water like..
Review 84:Very nice place sitting by the Citadelle, the view is awesome
Review 85:Very weak wifi signal
Review 86:Large room with river view, excellent location, reasonable walking distance to Citadel & old town.
Review 87:Parking facilities
Review 88:- the blankets were extremely dirty underneath their covers - the toilet was dirty
Review 89:- staff was helpful - location
Review 90:None

Review 92:Clean!
Review 93:Location. Close enough to town and right underneath the citadel.
Review 94:Location
Review 95:seriously noisy club across teh road on a saturday night.
Review 96:staff spoke english and parking at the door for our motobike
Review 97:shower
Review 98:quiet and spacious
Review 99:Cost of breakfast was a expensive.
Review 100:view of river breakfast good but expensive
Review 101:From previously free, secure, parking to totally insecure parking, which we had to pay for.
Review 102:The view across the river
Review 103:Good sized room with bath and shower. Fridge and BBC TV. Great views over River Meuse.
Review 104:breakfast : bad quality
Review 105:Many stairs when I go to the lift. Inconvenience for travellers hv big luggages. Not reli convenience locations
Review 106:Clean room
Review 107:Very noisy , poor breakfast and internet
Review 108:There was a strange stale and smoky smell in the evening, probably from the Casino below.
Review 109:The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Review 110:No hair dryer equipped. No plastic room key card for my collection.
Review 111:Access to the casino.
Review 112:Room,wi-fi,breakfast,price..
Review 113:It's a Casino with rooms, no lift to first floor.
Review 114:We had a river view that was lovely, a very good selection for breakfast and helpful staff.
Review 115:Smell of cigarette smoke in corridors, lack of plug for the sink
Review 116:Access to Namur Breakfast
Review 117:some insufficient problems with WC
Review 118:noce view perfect placemet good price good comfort level actually, good comfort and good personnel
Review 119:the bathroom needs to be redone
Review 120:Nice quiet break
Review 121:too old and badly maintained
Review 122:the location is ok
Review 123:arrived in a large group, took the last member of the group 2.5 hours to check in
Review 124:Hotel above Casino. Rooms not as impressive as the Casino/Hotel reception area led you to believe. Price should have made us realise this.
Review 125:the room is old no a\c
Review 126:the room is big the view to the river is amazing
Review 127:There was nothing to dislike
Review 128:well placed with a great view over the river. Basic but none the less very comfortable.
Review 129:cheaper rooms are quite basic; no lift to ground floor
Review 130:Was a casino ground flour. Building is tired needs an uplift. Not very clean
