Review 3：The location was in residential area and seemed pretty safe. We left our car on the street and walked to the train station to take the train into Florence (30 min). We came back around 8:30pm and we didn't feel the safest walking the 1/2 mile back to the apartment. There were some sketchy characters near the train station and some drunk locals outside of bars that cat called us. I'm sure it was harmless but that was the least safe we felt during our time in Italy. I'd park near the station or come back before dark in the future. There was no A/C in the room but we didn't need it. You could open the screened door but the streets were pretty noisy outside. So it could get hot in here during summer months.
Review 4：We just needed a place to stay after a day trip to Florence and this fit the bill. The host was easy to communicate with and very nice showing us the unit. He allowed us to check-in early and leave our bags even though the room wasn't ready yet so we could get to Florence. The room has an attached bathroom and shares a common hallway and breakfast area with a few other rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cereal, croissant, yogurt, juice or cappuccino and was convenient to have in the morning. Overall, a very nice stay.
Review 5：Thoughtful and friendly staff. Nice room with a balcony, everything is clean and well maintained. It is possible to access the terrace on the top of the building. Breakfasts are quite good; it is possible to use the kitchen at any time. Not very far from the city center; railway station is ten-minute walk away. Empoli is convenient location if you want to go to Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Siena and Florence. Amazing value for the price.

Review 12：All was perfect. Comfortable, clean and well furnished room with a small balcony was one of three rooms in the apartment. Breakfast was prepared in a shared kitchen, and we had a breakfast it as we wanted.

The room is quite comfortable, breakfast always in use, not only in the morning time, Leonardo, the host, was very friendly and helpful and, of course, the location — very near to the railway station and the center of the city! The best decision for everyone who wants to have a comfort for a reasonable price. I'm sure that the next time I decide to visit Empoli, I will choose this place to stay in.
Review 40：Poor breakfast. Just a bit unprofessionally run. There was nobody around when we arrived and no reply when we rang the given number. We were hanging around outside for a while until the owner's son happened to come down.
Review 41：La Terrazza is a budget hotel As long as you don't expect too much you will be ok. Our room was clean if a little on the small size. Our wardrobe was full of clutter! The hotel is close to the train station, making moving around nice and easy. Breakfast was poor. We were happy with the idea of self service. However there was very little choice. There was lots of cheese in the fridge, but no ham, eggs or bread. We had cereal, packaged croissants and jam. There is a roof top terrace which was nice. However be aware that you share it with the owners cat (plus litter tray and food bowls). As long as you take this hotel for what it is...a budget, no frills hotel you won't be disappointed. Also just a heads up, they only accept cash, no credit cards.
Review 42：Never saw the roof terrace! The website needs modifying to explain that this a B&B not a hotel . Empoli is a one-way nightmare for car drivers,but street parking was reasonably straight forward
