Reviews for Hotel La Conchiglia

Review 1:Francesco and his parents went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The breakfast (which was included) had plenty of choices and was good quality. We loved the fact that they had a cappuccino maker.

Review 2:Felt like we were staying with friends. Hotel and rooms are very clean. Marina and ocean front with fantastic restaurants is just around the corner. The buffet brakfast was tasty and more than enough. A great big GRACIE MILLE to Francesco and his family.

Review 3:We really liked the breakfast, it was delicious. The owner (?) was always there so it felt very safe and secure. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily.

Review 4:Parking was easy for us mid-May, but probably a challenge during peakseason. It is good to know beforehand what to expect before you getthere - my suggestion for arriving and parking: (1) Pull up to the hotelon Via della Marina and send someone in to confirm your reservationquickly and grab a "parking permit" card that you put in thefront windshield of your car; (2) find a parking space outlined by whiteor blue lines that is not directly around the central square of PiazzaRoma (so do not park in Piazza Roma parking lot and do not park on theperimeter "square" defined by Villa della Marina on the South,Piazza Roma on the East and North or Viale Caravaggio on the West ...unless it's definitely a white-line parking space) - we foundparking on Viale Caravaggio just *south* of Via della Marina; (3) Parkand pay, though if it's a white-lined space, it's always free,so only need to pay if it's a blue-outlined space and with the"parking permit" card all you have to do is put one (1) Euroin the machine each day (be sure to put the receipt face up on the dashnext to the permit card so they know you paid your euro that day) andyou're set. During peak season, you may have to drive around for abit to find a parking spot, but that’s pretty much anywhere in PortoErcole. We thought it worth it!

Review 5:We loved the owners, Ferrucio, Giustina and Francesco (Francesco speaksEnglish, fyi). The location was absolutely perfect, center of a less-touristy town with real people celebrating real events in their ownlives on the weekend (we witnessed a celebration of asoccer/football match from The Pizza restaurant on Viale Caravaggio,"Pizzeria Merendero"). Remember that it is on the main piazzaso people may be out and about (and may be heard through closed windowsof your room) if it's a late weekend night, but we absolutely lovedthe super-clean room, the wonderful owners, the location and thefriendly, lively town of Porto Ercole.

Review 6:the hotel was just around the corner from the waterfront and many different restaurants. The family who ran the hotel were friendly and accommodating and our room was very clean.

Review 7:Limited public parking spaces, started at 8 am, had to go out and feed the meter.

Review 8:Good clean room, nice bathroom, own access key. Buffet style breakfast included. A couple of minutes walk to the Marina. Owner friendly and efficient.

Review 9:Located within the shadow of buildings all around. Porches are sectioned off so everyone gets a little space but you are very close to your neighbor.Bur this was common in Italy.

Review 10:Close to harbor, was moved to a quieter room upon request. Family owned and run - son speaks fairly good English, good breakfast

Review 11:Very quiet. Good breakfast prepared only for us. Just around the corner for a walk along the waterfront. Several restaurants nearby.

Review 12:A charming family run hotel, very helpful staff and perfect location.

Review 13:Super-helpful staff; genuine family-run hotel. A stone's throw from the waterfront and all facilities Great private terrace off our room.

Review 14:Can get noisy during the main season and with traffic

Review 15:Lovely host and a good breakfast to start the day with

Review 16:No view from the window, faced a wall.

Review 17:A good family run hotel, which was very close to the port. The breakfast was good.

Review 18:Just fine.

Review 19:Room was good size. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very friendly and provided advice on eating. Location is a half block from the harbour which is 300 m of dock area with boats of all sizes. We just missed the pirate festivities.

Review 20:Our full size bed was just two small twin beds pushed together which was slightly uncomfortable. This wasnt a huge deal though and didn't deter from our stay.

Review 21:The place was very cute and in a good location. The owner couldn't speak English but was able to communicate fine and had employees who did. Very clean and had a great breakfast! Would definitely stay there again.

Review 22:Screaming seagulls at some ungodly hour in the morning, but that was not the fault of the hotel.

Review 23:Charming, unpretentious, excellent position adjacent to the port, was not trying to be 5* luxury, but did very well with precisely what it offered. A bonus was the sun falling on our terrace in the early evening.

Review 24:Verry friendly staff and owners. They are verry helpfull ! Room is nice and tidy !

Review 25:The room was a bit small

Review 26:Very friendly manager, the hotel is very clean and breakfasts was very good.

Review 27:Excelent place, easy access, very good resting place.
