On a cliff top in Porto Ercole, on the Monte Argentario Peninsula, the luxurious Il Pellicano provides a free private rocky beach, a swimming pool and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Il Pellicano includes a main building and a cluster of cottages scattered around the hotel's gardens. The heated swimming pool is filled with seawater, and there's also a tennis court with personal trainer.

Review 1：There was no service of a pick-up bus from the station. We had to pay 60 euro/one way for the hotel car.They said there is a taxi but they don't know the phone number when we asked the taxi. Next door was so noisy so we had to move to another room by a cart in mid night.

Review 2：We could choose pool or sea to swim. The view from the restaurant was good.

Review 7：Breakfast was average for the room rate paid. Most 5 star hotels willinclude eggs the way you like them in the cost of breakfast included notcharge as an add on a la carte menu item. Initial welcome by FrontOffice Manager was - indifferent! We didn't even get a welcome touras was offered to other guests. He couldn't have cared less aboutus. Unfortunately that initial un welcome will prevent us fromreturning. On this trip we will be staying at 11 4/5 star hotels andIl Pellicano was meant to be a highlight but we felt like we weretreated like "blow ins".

Review 8：This was special stop on a world tour for us. Dinner in the fishrestaurant x 2 nights was wonderful. Great food and service.

Review 9：The hotel is not cheap to stay in and I did not like having to pay extra for eggs at breakfast when already paying premium prices. Having stayed in many hotels of this calibre we were disappointed with how overpriced everything was. Disappointing.

Review 16：They don't want me to stay in the hotel, insisting that I have to book another room or even my children is very young and room is spacious for extra beds. The only purposes is to sell an extra room but I have to move each day to different one. Only 150 euro difference between the two rooms.

Review 20：The staff were wonderful, always there when you needed something and nothing was ever any trouble. Whilst not cheap the food was excellent. It is certainly a resort that we will come back for sure.

Review 21：we ate everynight in the formal dining room and lunch one afternoon. We found the food disappointing, dull, and over stylized. The "plateing" was unattractive on several dishes. At lunch we had the signature Pelican salad which was mixed greens, sliced tomatoes,mozzerella and avocado served with olive oil and Balsamic vinegar, very dull indeed.

When times are tough back home, swimming in the ocean from that beautiful pier will be the 'go to' tension buster that I go to in my mind. Loved all of it!

Review 40：The hotel area is too small to feel private. The internet is very weak and unstable. The balconies are not washed, no fresh flowers in the room, the staff is respectful but not very friendly.

Review 41：It's a nice place with a beautiful story of creation. But now the hotel has become a just business project. It was very frustrating to pay 775 euros for a night and have a room overlooking the parking lot and entrance to the hotel. In general, the hotel has all the options of luxury hotel, but they do not reach the stated level! This place was clearly designed for family and friendly visits, but not on such a vast number of people.
