Review 2：A gorgeous, friendly boutique hotel. Luciano was very helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable beds,a lovely balcony overlooking the harbour. We were here on a weekend and with the warm weather had the door open onto the street , yes there was some noise ,but it was beautiful noise, unlike other places we had visited on weekends like London and Barcelona where Saturday nights were noisy with Drunks and smashing bottles until 3 am , this was lovely singing in a restuarent a few doors down, and happy families having dinner together, children laughing , it really was pleasant , not overly loud and added to our Italian experience, it all stops at midnight and is dead quite .We were only visiting Rapello as a stop over on our way further north, we had not heard anything about it and had no great expectations. It turned out to be one of the nicest towns we had visited our entire time in Italy, it is very pretty , a relaxed atmoshere, un crowded. We liked it better then any of the towns in Cinque Terre. Skip the crowds and stay at Hotel Vesuvio Rapallo, it is one of our favourites.

Review 3：We have travelled a lot with our children, for us this hotel was outstanding! Luciano was such a friendly guy and Lilia the lady that served us breakfast also. We felt so comfortable and at ease for our whole stay. If we visit Rapallo again we will definitely stay there. The family suite itself gave the children their own space and that meant we had a little space too (quite rare) very very impressed.

Review 5：We spent 10 magical days in Rapallo. Breakfast on the patio across from the sea was excellent and Lydia remembered our latte macchiato each morning. . All rooms have a great view of the Gulf and terraces for sitting / snacking.

Review 6：Staff were very helpful with locations to visit including recommendation of restaurants. Location is 5 minute walk from train station which gives access to Genoa, Milan and Cinque Terre. Across the road is the ferry to Portofino. View across the to the water is lovely!!

Review 7：The main street of Rapallo runs between hotel and the harbour so be prepared for traffic noise if you want your balcony doors open.

Review 14：Very loud music from nearby bars and musicians on sea front until very late into the night. Great if you are a night owl but not if you want to sleep. Shutting the windows didn't help! Shower over bath rather than walk in shower not ideal if you have mobility problems.

Review 18：This friendly, family run hotel is in an excellent location, with the ferry terminal directly across the road. The owners were welcoming and provided us with relevant information about the area on arrival. The semi-open breakfast area opened on to the street and also doubled as a rest area for guest during the day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We could not fault the location and friendliness of the owners and staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Review 20：Smallest shower I've ever had to use. Road outside very noisy which meant sitting on balcony not very pleasant. Hard to find a place to swim in the sea as most beaches private.

Review 28：Don't stay at this hotel on a Saturday night unless you like being kept awake till 1a.m by the loud and annoying kareoke at the bar next door!!!! The hotel staff told us there is nothing that can be done as the bar has a legitimate licence to do this. The shower leaked on the floor, could do with upgrading.

We had a double balcony with a view over the marina, within minutes of the pier for boat trips and the pleasant town centre with nice restaurants and shopEasy walk from the station which suited us fine and there is no need for a taxi. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was satisfactory. The air conditioning was very good.

Review 67：We took an unmetered taxi from train station costing 15 Euros, but found we could have walked 250 metres from station through the lanes to the hotel. Also beware of some of the restaurants on the seafront - which are not good, especially bad food at Sapore di Mare.

Review 68：Rapallo is a lovely place to stay on the seafront. You can travel easily to places surrounding like Portafino, Santa Margherita and also the Cinque Terra. Ask hotel owner, Luciano for restaurant recommendations, but we found the Ariston Ristorante (Northern end past old castle) run by a family - great seafood, good service and reasonable prices. Great wine bar in lane at rear of Hotel Versuvio - good atmosphere. Don't miss the chair lift, visit the church at the top and walk through the beautiful old forests.

Review 71：Well we were greeted by the friendly owners and shown to a very spacious room with a lovely view. The location couldn't be any more central. Ferry across the road, train station 5 minute walk away. There are great restaurants and bars all around. Not to mention delis too! Breakfast was great too. Nothing was too much trouble for Luciano, anything you needed to know if he didn't know he would find out for you. The trip was fantastic and the hotel and staff were just perfect x thanks guys
