Reviews for Hotel Wiesenhof

Review 1:I booked a double room with balcony and I was given a twin room without balcony, staff explain there was an error in organizing the other guests, fortunately I got help from Booking having a discount for the different accomodation. Moreover breakfast was a little poor, just some bread with jams and butter, yoghurt and muesli and coffee: not much considering the prices, In the end, neither the room nor the breakfast hall were cleaned (bird feathers in the room, dirty table cloth...).

Review 2:pre booked room upstairs with view but were offered rubbish even tho balcony rooms were unbooked the mangeress had a filthy virus all the time we were there and still prepared and presented food all day and greeted guests etc we had an email confirmation to be picked up in town 1.5 km away by hotel. when we phoned we were told to walk 'it only 750 m away# not true and not with our luggage!!! but walk we did

Review 3:after complaining about the scanty backroom we were given, we were bumped to the upstairs room with balcony we had asked for six weeks earlier and would highly recommend the hotel so long as they provide any one of the 10 to 12 such rooms when you book

Review 4:Bed was less comfortable than it might have been.

Review 5:Location of hotel, with ample parking. Breakfast availability from 7 AM. The provision of a low cost, but quite satisfactory, evening meal was a bonus we hadn't expected (wasn't advertised on the booking site).

Review 6:I should consider the review with low scores. They were right. Only one lady was taking care of everything including the front desk and kitchen. She was too busy to provide service to the customers. I had very strange(?) experience in the hotel. I could not open the door from inside because the doorlock was stuck. We were in panic for 10 minutes. We tried to call the desk and knocked the door from inside. But no one responded. Finally, we managed ourself out the room through the window. So if you have the room 11, be careful when you lock your door from inside. If you have the same problem, use the window to get out. If you do not want to have the experience that we had, pay a little more and get other hotel.

Review 7:It was the worst hotel that I have visited so far.

Review 8:The only thing was that her South Tyrolian cooking is so popular in town and with guests that you have to let her know in advance if you wish to have dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Review 9:The hostess, in spite of being clearly overworked since having recently taken over the hotel, went out of her way to provide outstanding hospitality. She even served us wonderful dinner and cake after the restaurant was closed, since we got caught in a mountain thunderstorm and didn't have time to preorder dinner or be there on time. The dinner was absolutely delicious!

Review 10:Basic Breakfasts Poor acoustic (noise from hallway) No actual daily cleaning of room No safe in the room

Review 11:location (walking distance to town, quiet, close to pleasant walks, little stream nearby) Good value for money

Review 12:We booked a double room but in fact we were given a single room with an additional mattress next to the bed. It wouldn't be too bad but the room was definitely too small for two people. Also, the wifi didn't work - not only the password was ridiculously long, but it was also incorrect so we never got to use the Internet

Review 13:delicious breakfast, clean room and bathroom

Review 14:Staff was overworked, rude, unpleasant, very poor customer service overall. It was too bad I had to experience this because the surroundings were beautiful. The pool was dirty, it took 3 days to get the tv fixed, tables were dirty in the morning, and don't dare ask the staff for anything, or you will receive a sharp and rude response!

Review 15:Old style, rooms are poorly decorated, the smallest bathroom ever. It was ok for one night in our road trip through Dolomiti.

Review 16:Location, near village, nice view, pool.

Review 17:The hotel personell attityd, loose dogs, barking dogs also during the nights (dogs living in the hotel, also dogs beeing in the breakfast room), poor ventilation in the rooms. Dirty drinkglas in the bar, bad parking (leaning and slippery). No dinner, expencive breakfast. If possible do not stay here.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:No ice! Furschtbar. But we were provided a few eiswurfels...(7). Onlyseven ice cubes for two people to have a cool drink in the room afterdark. Otherwise, this place is a small piece of paradise.

Review 20:Where to start praising this wonderful hotel, family-owned and operated. You'll feel like a family member quickly! Inge (the mom) and Julia(her daughter, whose English is quite good). Good bed. Excellent food.Large and clean swimming pool; small but nice balconies; large frontpatio with seating for a group. There was a group pf maybe 2 dozen fromNebraska here 2 nights and they had a ball on that pation. Inge set up alarge table to accommodate the group's food they brought in tosupplement hers. She even gave refrigerator space for some of theirfood. Plenty of room for groups. Large beautiful dining room. And thebar is well furnished and of adequate size. Family? Yes! Ja! Genau! Andnot to forget Luke, The Dog! He loves everyone!

Review 52:Although breakfast was abundant, the price is still a bit expensive.

Review 53:I liked the quiet location. The splendid view. The warm welcome by the owners. The cleanliness and the style of the rooms.

Review 54:Only gripe is that it is a bit of a uphill hike to the town, but it wasn't that bad as were in town to hike anyways.

Review 55:Beautiful location. I loved the alpine meadows and the quiet location. Breakfast was excellent with organic eggs made to order and great coffee and bread. Castelrotto has the friendliest bus driver/ bee keeper ever!

Review 56:there was no elevator for those who came with heavy suitcases. the wifi is available at the reception and on the 1st floor.we got a room on the 2nd floor.

Review 57:the host was very nice and helpful.

Review 58:Nothing really, but if I had to say something, we went in early May, which is the wrong season to go - the hotels bar/restaurant seemed to not be open.
