Reviews for Baglio Delle Rose
Review 1:Nothing relevant.
Review 2:Very nice property in a stunning place very close the Etna volcano. Room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is placed in the garden with homemade confiture by the owner. Lorenzo was very kind to show us the orchard and agriculture activity. I recommend this place for a stay of several days as you do many things (wine tasting, Etna, Taormina, Alcantara valley,....
Review 3:No WIFI was available during our visit. The water heater is small for a family of four so it was difficult for all of us to shower comfortably within the same one hour. A soap holder should be installed within the shower cubicle.
Review 4:Great location, definitely a good base for exploring eastern Sicily and Mount Etna. Great tranquility, courtesy and friendly welcome during arrival. Baglio delle Rose benefits from safe and secure parking facilities. Take the opportunity to taste enjoy a relaxing atmosphere while tasting some of Lorenzo's fabulous marmalades and jams. In summary this is good value basic and clean accommodation that is excellently located.
Review 5:This is in a beautiful position surrouded by an orange and lemon grove on the slopes of Mount Etna. It was secluded and friendly and we enjoyed our stay there immensely. It was easy to get to Catania and Taomina and Lorenzo was able to answer any questions we had about getting around. One road to Rifugio Sapienza for going up the volcano, went past the baglio. The room was clean and pleasant and the breakfast good.
Review 6:Nothing !
Review 7:There is nothing to complain about.
Review 8:The greatest asset of Baglio Delle Rose is Lorenzo - the owner and the manager in person. He is extremely helpful, creating pleasant, friendly atmosphere. Bed&Breakfast facility rather than a hotel is located on the hill quite away from the town. Good for those who look for countryside, traditional location with barbecue and well equipped summer kitchen. Very nice, wild beach 20 minutes of driving. Very rich, excellent breakfasts in the garden meeting all potential needs.
Review 9:we couldn't pay with our visa card
Review 10:the owner was very kind and helpful. Breakfast outside was lovely. We enjoyed having the use of a kitchen and a barbecue.
Review 11:There are no nearby shops or restaurants, you need to go by car. Wedidn't find Giarre a very interesting or beautiful place. We parkedour car and made the mistake (we didn't notice the warning not to doso) stupid) to insert our credit card in the paying machine and it nevercame out again. The view on the Etna from the B&B is great, howeverthe view is partly taken away by fruit trees.
Review 12:This was our first night in Sicily. We arrived by rented car. Our Garmin(from home) led us to the B&B. The gate was closed and no onearrived when we rang at the gate. Fortunately the owner answered ourphonecall. We stayed two nights. The surroundings (fruit trees, viewEtna) are great. We spent some hours reading a book and drinking wine.We appreciated breakfast very much: home made jam (from cactus!), meat, fresh bread, fruit from the orchard, yoghurt, freshmade juice (also fromthe orchard), tea. We had dinner in Giarre in the restaurant in front ofthe station (tip of the owner) and in Zafferana Etnea next the church(Gli Aragoni, also a tip from the owner). Both very good. Ofcourse wealso visited Taormina.
Review 13:We stayed in February and the air con turned heater wasn't reallypowerful enough. Later on it would have been fine.
Review 14:Nice big rooms with double downstairs and a single on mezzanine above.Clean and well fitted bathroom. Good attention to detail. Friendlyatmosphere, chatty and knowledgeable staff. The owners farm the landaround with fruit trees and make their own wide range of preserves. Goodbreakfast in nice diner. Beautiful views of Mt Etna up behind the houseand big views to the valleys below. Lovely open location. Not many otherfacilities so check what you need beforehand. Giarre is a nice town butbigger than expected so you need to know where to go.
