Reviews for Best Western Tigullio Royal

Review 1:Very nice hotel in the centre of Rappalo. Breakfast was quite good but we would like to see some fish (since we are on the coast line) and more wegetables

Review 2:Rooms are a bit small and old style.

Review 3:The hotel is right at the heart of Rapallo town and right by the sea. The breakfast buffet was very rich. They have an agreement with the parking lot right next to them.

Review 4:nil

Review 5:clean modern good sized room. Courteous helpful staff, great breakfast. Very central, opposite seafront and tourist walking streets outside front door. Temporary car parking available infront of hotel and staff then park car across the road for advertised price.

Review 6:Shower might have been larger (405)

Review 7:Very helpful and friendly staff, all spoke good english. Delightful room with lovely balcony and sea and harbour views. Excellent breakfast, enable stay all round.

Review 8:We upgraded but found we had two singles push together to form a double with a no go zone in the middle

Review 9:The staff and location were excellent. The upgraded room had good views from the balcony.

Review 10:Nothing.

Review 11:The staff were very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast had incredible variety - enough to please my 13 year old who is extremely picky. The bed was very comfortable (important as l suffer from lower back pain). Will definitely stay again without hesitation should l ever find myself in the area. Well done to the staff on understanding the importance of customer service.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Perfect location, very close to the restaurants, cafes, seaside and car park. Great view, perfect breakfast, lovely morning walk at the seaside

Review 14:Nothing to complain with the hotel. Perhaps only the internet connection could have been faster. Corner room might explain.

Review 15:This is a nice hotel and has a perfect location. For us everything went smooth. Having a view to see was nice.

Review 16:Air conditioning wasn't working. Wifi was excellent.

Review 17:Staff was very friendly especially Elizabetta. She couldn't do enough to help us with whatever we needed. Room with sea view was beautiful. Location was great. Close to the train station.

Review 18:We returned to Tigullio Royal having had a great stay there last year and we were not let down this time. We chose a Junior Suite and the extra room ad layout is recommended. It is immaculate and seriously comfortable and the small staff all go out of their way to be helpful. And what could be better than breakfast out on a terrace enjoying the view of the Rapallo seafront!

Review 19:The hotel staff was especially friendly and helpful! Everyone went out of their way to help us out in every way possible. Lucca, Elizabeth and Irena at the front desk, the bellman who took care of our car, the cafeteria staff and our housekeeper, Marisol were so attentive and made us feel very special! I can't say enough from the time of our check in until our departure.

Review 20:Excellent, well furnished, clean, modern room. Fabulous view from our room with a balcony. Breakfast was fantastic value for money. Within easy waking distance of the seafront with bars/restaurants, and also the train station for further a field adventures!

Review 21:Upgraded elevator, welcoming Beverages, staff superb, especially Mariola in breakfast, Especially enjoyed the Balcony room And location of hotel to train station

Review 22:Great locations on the side of the harbour, our room 604 had panoramic views and a lovely terrace, all the staff were exceptional with genuine smiles, the room was well appointed with immaculate linen. Breakfast was lovely , massive choice. The lady who served us coffee was very helpful. I cannot wait to book this hotel again . Perfect

Review 23:Had to change hotel due to traffic noise, our Junior suite faced the main car park and overlooked a busy intersection (although advertised with a "Sea View"). No restaurant, or other facilities we would normally expect from a 4* Hotel. We gave 24 hours notice but still charged for one night we didn't stay.

Review 24:friendly helpful staff central location

Review 25:Bed was very firm.......uncomfortable.

Review 26:Beautiful view of sea!! Very modern and clean hotel. Great location.......steps from restaurants and train station for trip to the Cinque Terre. Excellent hotel.

Review 27:At first I was very unhappy because the day before our arrival we were told that we had to either arrive before 12.00 or after 7pm because the streets would be closed to accommodate a bike race. It did not make sense that we should have been alerted of this so late, which meant that we had to make alternate plans and could not cancel our reservations without paying a heavy penalty. Anyway upon arrival, Luca at the desk and his colleague were very accommodating and they upgraded our room and made all the necessary efforts to make our stay pleasant (they even asked the kitchen to remain open so we could get a coffee and croissant free of charge before we departed) which they did. Kudos to them.

Review 28:We stayed 2 nights the location was perfect the room was big and comfortable very clean . Reach breakfast . The stuff was good . We deffenyly will be back

Review 29:Excellent harbour view from balcony. Centrally located for restaurants. Huge bed with illuminated mural of Portofino as the bedhead. Really friendly and helpful staff especially Elena on the front desk.

Review 30:The bed was very hard. Staff said that it was because the mattress was orthopaedic. We think they took orthopaedic a bit far, it was like sleeping on the floor.

Review 31:The location was perfect, on the lakeside, next to loads of good cafes and restaurants and a short walk from the station.

Review 32:No night lamp for the sofa; unnecessary/ not ecological freqyency to change towers (twice per day! Not needed) Great location, excellent reception and breakfast; thank you!

Review 33:No complaints. Stayed 3 nights and would certainly stay there again.

Review 34:Great location at one end of the esplanade with good access to the town facilities. Terrific alfresco breakfast room. Staff really helpful with organizing ferry tickets etc.

Review 35:no pool. Entrance to the beach is an extra charge.

Review 36:Excellent location, beautiful view, high standard rooms. Staff courteous and nice. Breakfast very high standard but the extra cost.

Review 37:We checked in quite late and apparently the hot water system was on stand by so it was impossible to have a hot shower. Got a small discount as compensation for that.

Review 38:Room in excellent conditions. Very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom fully equipped.

Review 39:Bathroom fine and modern but poorly designed

Review 40:Excellent location relative to promenade, beach and train station. Extremely helpful staff. Outstanding (and cheap) breakfast. Great view from our upper floor room. Modern, well kept with "green" energy saving features

Review 41:Small and crowded bathroom with tiny shower cabin

Review 42:Great balcony and view in #604, friendly and positive staff, really good breakfast on an open terrace

Review 43:The staff were so helpful. Great base to explore the local area and beyond. Parking no problem. Off load outside the hotel and then private garage parking (extra charge). Lower charge is outdoor parking opposite. Breakfast is good. Great places for dinner close by. Seaview room was worth it.

Review 44:No complaints AT ALL!!

Review 45:Fantastic location. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast and noticed that mid afternoon refreshments were provided although we didn't take advantage. Best shower ever used in a hotel.

Review 46:Wifi signal was too low in our room, it was a bad connection. But it worked well at the lobby and breakfast room.

Review 47:Perfect location, next to beach and 5 min walk to train station. There are many restaurants around within a walking distance. The hotel staff is really helpful and professional. Breakfast is very simple but reasonble price and delicious.

Review 48:I found the price for the hotel very high and even though it was a comfortable place to stay for my family and I, I didn't feel that the price was justified.

Review 49:Staff were very helpful and always interested in doing something more to help us.

Review 50:I was sent an email asking me what time we were arriving and advised to park in front of the hotel, only to be told once we got there that we had to move to a nearby carpark.

Review 51:Beautiful hotel in a lovely location, lovely big room, with really comfortable bed, great breakfast and very helpful staff.

Review 52:Location was fantastic and the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean. I honestly can't believe this is a best western.

Review 53:That I didn't have more time to stay!

Review 54:The location was excellent and the room was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was so much better than expected and the staff were so polite and accommodating by offering any bottomless capuccinos! Dante was great and took care of everything!

Review 55:The hotel has a very modern interior but lacks some charm.

Review 56:Comfortable hotel with what appeared to be recently upgraded rooms. Very nice breakfast buffet with optionto eat outside on balcony overlooking the bay of Rapallo.

Review 57:The towels were changed all the time despite the fact that we left them hanging up. Totally unnecessary and un-ecological. Extra bed was uncomfortable. We had to ask for separate blankets although we were three women traveling together. Also, there was only one actual duvet blanket in the room. Pedicure in the spa was not very good.

Review 58:Friendly staff, lovely breakfast outside with everything we wanted, great view from the room (we payed a little more to get the view and some space, original room with sea view was ok but not spectacular), cleanliness (room was cleaned and organized several times per day), wonderful location close to everything

Review 59:The water canalisation were very noisy. The shower was a bit difficult to access.

Review 60:Very friendly and helpful staff, very good location and wonderful breakfast

Review 61:None whatsoever

Review 62:Extremely helpful and friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, good parking (although public), very comfortable room, well worth paying for front facing with sea view.

Review 63:Hard beds and pillows. When you arrive, immediately order the microfibre or feather pillows as they run out.

Review 64:Staff couldnt do enough for us Especially Elena,Andrea, luca. Their guest relations was as good as you will experience anywhere.

Review 65:Beds were quite firm. Shower stall was modern, clean, but tight -- not good for a large person.

Review 66:Location is a very easy walk to the train station (5 minutes on pleasant street) and provides great views of the Gulf of Tigullio. Great place to use as a travel hub for Genoa and Portofino (to the north) and Cinque Terre (to the south). Rapallo is a medium-size, upscale city. Hotel itself is clean, modern, immaculate, with a wonderful staff -- helpful with high morale. We were especially grateful to Elena and Elisabetta who are both multilingual, charming, and eager to help.

Review 67:Noise from the street, very small room, damaged sofa, very litte barhroom (really dont know how it is possible to name deluxe triple romm as DELUXE), not many atractions near by hotel and inside of it, small corridors, many rooms on litte space, too expensive in comparison to conditions of accomodation (small romm, bathroom, not many facilities), but the view from the room&localisation were excellent!

Review 68:View from the room (its worthy of any price), excellent breakfasts& restaurant balcony, english good speaking stuff in reception- very rare in italian hotels, helpfull stuff also in restaurant, localisation

Review 69:Staff is really kind & helpful. Perfect location closed to restaurants , sea, Room was clean, spacious & comfortable with nice sea view wonderful breakfast

Review 70:The singing birds in the trees around 7:00h giving a concert, and I had a hang over.......

Review 71:Surprised about the breakfast, very un-Italian, ruem was just complete renovated, clever, clean designed. Staff very, very gently and helpful,

Review 72:Nothing. No restaurant but their are lots close by.

Review 73:We normally stay en route to our apartment in France to Rome. The position is great and the welcome could not be warmer. The drawback is that they do not have a garage but fortunately managed to park in their space just in front of the hotel. The breakfast was great and the hostess couldn't do enough for us and indeed everyone else. Stayed and extra night which was very enjoyable.

Review 74:The bath room very good , this is try first tome to have sit down for shower in the bathroom and clear my toes. It is sparking clean ! Good position ! That building just face the centre of the town that a lot of restaurant and attactivity !

Review 75:The Mgr. Lucca and staff were extremely helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. The room and view were especially nice. The hotels location was very convenient to shopping and dining.

Review 76:It was raining when we were there and other guests parked their cars in the unloading area directly outside the hotel rather than move their cars to the car park directly over the road after checking in. Not the hotels fault, just inconsiderate fellow travellers.

Review 77:Excellent location, parking over the road, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Far better than we were expecting from a hotel in the Best Western chain.

Review 78:Parking is in a public lot across from the hotel. The lot is closed on Wednesday market day so your car has to be moved to another location. To avoid this inconvenience and have a secure parking spot one can reserve a space from the hotel in a nearby garage.

Review 79:Location close to Ferry terminal and buses. Vibrant city with good shopping and restaurant choices. English speaking management and staff who spared no effort to help.Abundant buffet breakfast with lots of choices and the best breakfast experienced during three weeks in Italy. Wednesdays there is an interesting street market adjacent to the hotel and along the waterfront promenade..For private secure parking the hotel has spaces available at a premium cost within a five minute walk from the lobby.

Review 80:The rooms are not soundproof and on the lower floors you can hear the traffic outside. Also, the walls between rooms are thin and you could get noisy neighbors,

Review 81:The room was modern and clean with a balcony over looking the water. Wonderful Breakfast.

Review 82:The shower stall is a bit small.

Review 83:The hotel has a good location on a corner, meaning one should try to get a room with sea view. The bedrooms are modern and have good airconditioning. The hotel offers a nice breakfast; remember to ask the staff for fresh coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean.

Review 84:The WiFi is worse than in the African province. There are no extras like a pool or sauna

Review 85:The hotel offers a great view of the sea, if you pay for it. The breakfast is very good and the staff are friendly.

Review 86:Helpful reception staff. Good breakfast choice served by very friendly staff. Very convenient location - handy for the station, the town centre and the front.

Review 87:Amazing staff throughout the hotel. Fabulous location and views. Wonderfully comfortable room and a breakfast to die for. Rapallo is a lovely place, always something going on.

Review 88:Hated the ridiculously small, triangular shower stall. Did not like the hallways' decor, but that's not a biggie. The central location meant it was noisy at night, but it was still worth it.

Review 89:Loved the location, across from the sea and close to everything. Loved my seafront room with its fabulous view from the balcony. Liked the kind, helpful staff. Enjoyed breakfast buffet, especially eaten at the seaview terrace. Was happy to have a free WiFi in the room. Being able to park the car across the street was convenient.

Review 90:-miss a real parking -small and great hotel, would have been also great to have a pool or spa, but must be difficult to have a spa in this building in Rapallo anyway hotel is close to shops and restaurants - strange shower

Review 91:location staff view lobby decoration bed outstanding staff very friendly Breakfast is amazing ! capuccino delicious they have smoked salmon at breakfast, is not easy in italy to find salmon at breakfast fresh fruits, great choice

Review 92:1. small lift, probably lack of space and maybe external glass elevator could better. 2. in bathroom something for clothes - hooks, racks or hangers needed

Review 93:really nice staff and all that Italian style whatever it means

Review 94:Pillows weren't all that great . One of the rooms had a mini bath.

Review 95:Great staff. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble . Car parked in an underground garage 300m away with electric shutters a bonus, of course an extra charge but worth it. Wifi was good. Hotel also booked a nice restaurant 'Luca' by the yacht club ,

Review 96:small hotel so no gym or pool resort itself has poor beaches

Review 97:excellent breakfast no hidden charges very helpful staff and professional room cleaned regularly and very well good location at beach in town centre

Review 98:The family room , the bathroom are both very small. The carpet in the hallway is extremely dirty and has an odor. There should be a swimming pool , and a gym room.

Review 99:I liked the location. The staff were very helpful and kind. I enjoyed the sea view.

Review 100:They charged 60 euro for an extra bed which in my opinion is a bit expensive.

Review 101:The staff was amazing and in my opinion the best breakfast out of all our four star hotel stays throughout Italy. The hotel is in a great location for day trips to the neighboring cities.

Review 102:This hotel is in a perfect location close to the town square and the marina. The staff were wonderful all spoke perfect english and were so accommodating. Nothing was a problem for them and were ready to give advice on what to do and see. I will definitely return to this lovely friendly hotel cant wait.

Review 103:Proximity to beach was great, and the rooms were generous size. Definitely worth the sea room view with the balcony.Best included breakfast Ive had in similar hotels.

Review 104:The room and the bathroom were surprisingly small even for Italy and for the price we paid. The pillows were uncomfortably hard. The view of the Bay of Tigullio was wonderful if we were standing on the balcony but we couldn't see it when we sat in the chairs. The view was blocked by the high translucent screen on the balcony, which defeated the point of a room with a sea view on the sixth floor.

Review 105:We went to visit friends in Rapallo during our vacation in Italy. The rather expensive room was very small but well-designed, and the bed was very comfortable. After we mentioned this to our friends, and they, unbeknownst to us, called the hotel. The staff then offered to give us a larger room but since we were only staying for one night, we declined. The staff were very gracious and accommodating and wanted to do something for us. They offered us a bottle of Prosecco, which we don't drink. When I requested softer pillows and bathrobes, however, they brought them within minutes. Because of the excellent service, I would consider staying here again if we could have a larger room.

Review 106:Modest breakfast. Nevertheless, everything is fresh.

Review 107:Open balcony for breakfast overlooking the sea - just perfect! The perfect hotel for those who come to relax at sea. Very comfortable!

Review 108:Room a little tight for a family. First room with carpet a little outdated, second renovated room was excellent.

Review 109:Breakfast was excellent. Views and location were excellent. Staff very helpful and nothing a problem. Easy parking. Room modern and not huge but adequate and lovely balcony with gorgeous views of ocean. Wifi good and very clean and safe.

Review 110:Goo breakfast, parking nearby, very friendly and helpful staff, teamaker.

Review 111:Expensive

Review 112:Location & staff

Review 113:Staff superb never had a welcome like it.I recommend the breakfast as excellent value for money

Review 114:Difficult to park although staff were most helpful

Review 115:Location and quality

Review 116:Wonderful stay, everything was great. Also the breakfast for just 4 Euro! We enjoyed our trip very much!

Review 117:excellent place,good stuff,good breakfast;clean rooms

Review 118:room 102 is next to the kitchen and it's very noisy from 6-30 am

Review 119:staff, room and facilities, breakfast, location

Review 120:Do something about your Wi Fi.

Review 121:Well located. Very clean. Courteous staff; very helpful.

Review 122:Everything ! Very comfy, good space ! Great staff and super view from balcony.

Review 123:Excellent view..upgraded to a suite. Amazing breakfast included with rate.

Review 124:Location- in the middle for everything in Rapallo Excellent breakfast' spacious rooms and the hospitality of the front desk staff
