Reviews for Real Bedouin Camp
Review 1:Wingers at the camp who complained about no hot water. This is an experience for the soul
Review 2:Scenery, Beauty, Simplicity, remoteness, quietness, excellent Bedoin food, and wonderful Fayez who was our kind gentle tour guide for a 5 hour jeep tour. Jeep is as rustic as a stubborn camel!!!
Review 3:The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, but we expected that. Not much I would change.
Review 4:The all-day tour was incredible. It was varied and authentic. We loved cooking lunch in the middle of the nowhere. The scenery was breathtaking, and the all-day tour is worth the sunset alone. Our guide Awad was so knowledgeable and fascinating. We would go back!
Review 5:Bedding , lack of hot water. No separate toilet facilities for men and women.Lack of setting arrangement out side the tents area.
Review 6:The location , the jeep and sunset Safaris and the food.
Review 7:such friendly staff who looked after us and included us in the music, fire and eating after dark
Review 8:The whole experience. The tour was excellent as we're all the staff
Review 9:We arrived to be met by Attallah and his delightful son, a toddler who he clearly adored and we graciously given mint tea to refresh us after our journey from Petra. We had made no plans aside of the overnight stay and Attallah let us explore the website to remind us of the opportunities open to us. We quickly booked a 4 hour 4x4 drive with lunch-our guide arrived with freshly baked Bedouin bread and we set off with the sand board sitting against the windscreen. He explained the significance of ruins, the landscape and the finally we sat down to devour the tasty, but very basic food he carefully laid out on the large mat. Lighting the incense we enjoyed the quiet spectacle before us -it was magnificent. Later we clambered up the sand dune before flying down again on the sand-board-it was great fun although I confess we were going very slowly. He helped us scramble up the rocks, showed us the cave paintings and rushed to show us the sunset at the Red Dunes; always charming. Having been shown to our tent we were invited to eat first watching the unveiling of the traditionally cooked zarb-deliciously tasty, we listened to the music and shared our stories with fellow travellers. The following morning we set off early after breakfast enjoying the scenery astride a camel-strange but gently creatures we ambled back to the village before saying goodbye to our intrepid friends. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan; do make the most of the Wadi Rum by staying overnight at least for 1 night-its remarkable.
Review 10:Great experience.Super friendly people.tasty bedouin food.comfortable tents.i was a solo traveller but saw a lot of families with kids.they seemed to be very happy too
Review 11:First thing to bear in mind is that this is a camp - not a hotel. Put your mobile phones away, forget the hum-drum of daily life, & give yourself up to the desert experience. Our hosts were great: welcoming, friendly, loving to joke & tease us ('You will have snake & scorpion for dinner!'). Our guide, Faiz, was brilliant; Wadi Rum itself a treat. The camp has no electricity, apart from solar powered sockets in the mess tent for cameras & phones. Take torches with you. Don't be fussy about bedding - or take your own. Food was good, evening in the big Bedu mess tent great fun. They are constructing a new camp with ensuite shower & loo facilities - good for people like me with walking disabilities. We loved the camp & the people, highly recommend it. Suggest you go for your tour in open pick-up & not enclosed Landcruiser. Camel rides a must, but they aren't very comfortable - 45 mins was enough for us.
Review 12:This is by far the best camping experience I've ever had! Beautiful location in the desert, great hospitality and friendliness of the staff, wonderful traditional food, excellent entertainment (music by campfire) and clean tents with proper beds to sleep in!
Review 13:Basically nothing....
Review 14:This is a very good camp. But be aware, this is a Bedouin camp in the middle of the desert so don't expect hotel facilities. The tents are OK, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also very good considering its location.
Review 15:The Jeep tour wasn't great value for money. There were three of us and we payed around 20JD each - 60JD for a few hours driving around a desert seemed like quite a lot!
Review 16:This was a fantastic camp - the staff are fantastic and the location is great. They arranged for us to arrive at the camp by camel which was fun. The best bit was the food - it was the best we had in Jordan! We would totally recommend this camp to other travellers.
Review 17:Pricing is only transparent if you book direct through website, ratherthan through booking.com or similar where only half board is included -it was not easy getting details on costs of activities and meals.
Review 18:Great location in Wadi Rum; Attallah and his team are well-organizedand efficient. There are enough activities to choose from - desertsafari, camel trekking, walking among others; My suggestion is to stayat least two nights so you have a full day to make the most of whatthey have to offer.
Review 19:No complaints at all.
Review 20:Atallah and his staff were excellent. I was traveling alone and the staff picked me up at the Wadi Rum village and we traveled by jeep through the desert for about 3 hours to various amazing locations and then finally to the camp. The facilities are good. The bathroom and toilet were reasonably good considering that the location is in the middle of a desert.
Review 21:The Real Bedouin Camp certainly exceeded all my expectations, from arrival to departure. We were greeted at the visitor centre and in no time we had started our 4WD tour of Wadi Rum. The overnight stay was an amazing experience. Great friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this camp.
Review 22:I liked the atmospher at night with oud playing, singing, and dancing.
Review 23:Excellent food
Review 24:staff smoking inside the main tent during and after meals
Review 25:Overall we loved the experience staying at the Real Bedouin Camp.
Review 26:They were kindly inform during the our trip.
Review 27:no water for shower, dirty beds
Review 28:very friendly staff, delicious food, love to go again.
Review 29:Extremely helpful manager. Good experience and we would have stayed a night or two longer, if not been so tight with time.
