Review 1：Did not spend enough time there.

Review 2：We really liked the position of hotel across the road from a very good beach. The swimming pool was wonderful and the staff and food were great. A nice quiet location with a easy stroll into main part of town.

Review 10：Nice, big pool with sunbeds and a private area on the beach also with free sunbeds which is really nice for being Italy. Good breakfast with lots of different things to choose from. The room was big and fitted our family of four well enough. Nice balcony with a fantastic view over the old towm of Cefalu. There are doors outside the balcony doors that makes the room really dark even when the sun rises, we liked that! Free private parking and the distance to the old town is just a nice walk after dinner.

Review 11：The staff were not accommodating. We arrived late and they wanted to hold our passports for check in purposes in the morning. Everyone knows you do not give your passport to anyone. Bad form: it wasn't even put in a secure place, out in the open, anyone could take it. We went to the bar twice and had to ask to be served after 20 mins of waiting. The second time no one came when we asked to get a drink. They held a disco at night and didn't warn or even ask guests to be involved. Music stopped thumping in the room at 330am. The private beach was poor, better locations nearer town. Only English tv was the news, why bother even having English tv. No help from staff, we clearly looked like tourists and no personal touch by staff at all. Wouldn't stay there again, would go back, but not to this hotel.

Review 12：The cleaning lady was efficient, it was close to the town and popular beach area. Pool area was nice, breakfast okay, though after disco the selection was slim on our last day.

Review 20：I liked the proximity to the beach and the umbrellas and lounge chairs set up by the hotel for the guests. The availability of beach towels at the desk was very considerate. The breakfast was decent. The location was off the beaten path so it was quiet but it was also a bit of a hike into town.

Review 22：This hotel was everything I hoped it would be. The room was lovely and had a great deck overlooking the sea. Breakfast was good and even lunch was nice. The hotel is located just far enough out of old town to be a bit quieter but close enough that it made for a nice walk along the beach front. We really enjoyed Cefalu and this hotel. The location, staff and amenities were just perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for some fun on the beach.

Review 23：Breakfast. Bad coffee. Only cookies, not much of real bread. Restaurant staff not so service minded. No wifi in pool area. Bad smell of drain in our bathroom when we arrived. Became better during our stay. Tiny balcony just fitted two chairs, but it's OK.

Instead of staying and eating at the hotel pool or beach, go to the second beach from the hotel towards the town. Good food and staff. It's worth paying for sun beds there.

Review 51：fabulous views from front balcony - worth paying bit extra for sea view; pool large and a good depth, plenty of room around it for sunbathing; hotel's own area of beach just across road; less than 20 mins walk from station, most of which is along the seafront; as it's down far end of beach on no-throough road is v peaceful and has a great vista of the town at other end. A bit further to walk to restaurants as a result but still under 20 mins and it's a lovely stroll.

Parkingis possible an free in some areas, the hotel is perfectly fit both forcity-break travelers and longer holiday. It has its own swimming pooland the best view of Cefalu' from some of the rooms.

Review 69：Can't really comment on this hotel as when we arrived in late november,2012, we were told the hotel had had to shut temporarily due to majorproblem with alarm system. To their credit, they had arrangedaccommodation for us in cefalu at a better hotel which was nearer totown and with a higher star rating than the Tourist. And at the sameprice. They handled this well and even drove us to the other hotel sincewe were travelling on foot. We hope they get the problem resolved soonfor their sake.

Review 74：It isn't that I didn't like the hotel, but here were my concerns; Thebeds are extremely hard and pillows are flat. Need more than 2 pillowson the bed. We did have a problem with ants in the room, but only on theside of the room where the window was and honestly I only saw them oneday. In the bathroom, there is no "vanity" area. No place to putcosmetics or shaving items. Also, the shower curtain did not cover thewhole shower, so water was always splashing outside the tub. The hoteladvertises they have Laundry available, but this should read "Laundryservice" We misunderstood and thought they had a laundry room with coinoperated equipment, where we could do a load of clothes. Instead, thehotel will arrange for your clothes to be washed/dryed and return to youfor a fee.

Review 75：The staff at Hotel Tourist were great. Thanks Alessandra! The food inthe dining room was good and plentiful. The hotel room and bathroom werea good size. We liked the location of this hotel being a little awayfrom the main town. It is really a pretty view to look at Cefalu fromthe hotel. We did not have a balcony, but balconies are available. Askfor a room with the balcony on the front of the hotel. If you get a roomfacing the pool, you get a nice balcony but sacrifice the beautiful viewof the city. It was nice to have entertainment in the evening. We had aband playing one night and we enjoyed sitting outside watching all theguests have fun dancing to the music.

Review 76：A large hotel like this should have guest laundry facilities, either self-service or done by the hotel. We did arrange for a staff member to do it (through the hotel) but it was very expensive. NB: This comment applies to virtually everywhere we stayed in Italy, be it B & B or Hotel. It is often quite hard to find a "Lavartaria" or Laundromat, even in large towns or cities.

Review 78：I thought by booking a superior room with sea views the description meant we would be in one of the front room facing the sea. In fact we were in a side room and we had to step out on to the balcony to get a view to the front. The side position meant we could not see the full view of the bay as the room description implied on the website. When I queried this I was told the room counted as superior because we could look to the front. One of the towels we were provided with was so thin it ripped.

In general, the hotel seemed 'tired' and in need of redecoration.The wi-fi is very unreliable too.

Food salty , cold, poor cooking for Italians, the only fresh fruit was out of a can and oranges and apples. Not even the tomatoes for salad were fresh. Beds in the room are lumpy and uncomfortable , I had a choice of 3 beds, slept on the cot, which was a single because it was the best mattress in the room. Large bathroom however shower tiny, water running always to fill up the tank of the toilet. Head grease stains at the head of the bed on the wall . Gross Pillows thin.. They charged me the full price of the booking, I am not sure if booking .com prepays this or not, I will wait for my visa bill to see if I was charged twice. I read on another review that they charged twice.
