The Astoria is a family-run 4-star hotel at the start of Rapallo's seaside promenade. An Art Nouveau villa, it offers free Wi-Fi and elegant rooms with air conditioning and satellite TV. Most rooms overlook the Tigullio Gulf.

Review 1：Rooms are a bit small, but this is Italy, and when I researched Rapallo hotels, all the rooms were on the small side.

Review 2：Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. They printed out schedules for the train to Cinque Terre for us. Location could not be better. We walked to and from the train station. Ferry, bus and train were all five minutes away.

Review 3：On arriving, we received an officious and less than hospitable welcome from one staff member.

Review 4：A very well located and handsome hotel, with spacious rooms and, for the most part, a very friendly and helpful staff. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts, and the proximity both to the sea and to the town centre.

The location was great - only a short easy walk from the station and close to ferries, beach and restaurant areas. 1 hour train trip to Monterosso and 15 min bus trip to Portifino. Staff went out of their way to help us and answer all our questions about the area and Cinque Terra

Review 14：Perfect location, extremely convenient that they have a private parking lot - you don't have to look far pariking. Tasty breakfasts, great helpful staff, cozy and spacious rooms, very clean. Everything was perfect!

Review 20：The manager (Alexander) is one of a kind. Very friendly and helpful, allways ready with a suggestion or recommendation for trips or restaurants, helping with reservations etc. The location is excellent, 20 meters from the marina/private beach. Rooms are very nice and spacious - ours was on a side but had a 20 sqm terrace facing the sea. Breakfast is varied and made of quality products. Stayed in a 3 star (I would not give it more than 2) horror hotel in Milan for the same price just 1 day before, so the experience at Hotel Astoria was awesome. Reading the Astoria guest book would make any hotel manager envious.

Review 38：The location is awesome, close to the old city, the harbor and with a fantastic view of the bay. The atmosphere is alway relaxing and calm. Great breakfast and a wifi that is working. Parking in front of the hotel - or the public parking almost same place.

Review 41：From the minute we arrived, we knew it was going to be a great stay. The location is beautiful with easily accessible free parking, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. All of this combined with a lakeside location made for a relaxing visit.

Review 42：One has to pay for the coffee/tea set, 4 euro per day. The plug is very inconveniently located, and the kettle's cable so short, that one always had to bend down below the desk to plug and unplug.

Review 63：Beds and pillows too hard for my taste, unripe fruit at breakfast, no facilities other than room + breakfast + parking if you need it. There's no terrace or pool or jacuzzi or anything else that's extra. There is no restaurant so room service is out. Bar area not inviting for a drink.

Review 65：No restaurant at the Hotel but many to choose from nearby (we made a bad choice). There is a road between the sea and hotel, the traffic starts off around 6.30 am but Rapallo is a busy town and the traffic noise is everywhere. Rapallo isn't cheap and nor is the hotel.

Review 66：The staff were really friendly and helpful, we stayed one night and was able to leave the car at the hotel parking for both days. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent. A great position, the Hotel has a sea view with shops and restaurants just seconds away.
