Reviews for Le Oreadi
Review 1:The agriturismo is situated in a great location to visit popular places such as Gole Alcantara, Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Castiglioni di Sicilia.Maurizio the owner was very cordial and helpful. The food was fantastic.
Review 2:Nothing
Review 3:The owner Maurizio is a legend. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The olive, limes and apricots are great to taste and wander through. A walk up the river is recommended.
Review 4:Road to reach accomodation was rough and bumpy with loose stones all around. I was afraid I would damage my car tyres every time I was going in and out.
Review 5:excellent surroundings and views. Best place to relax and enjoy some quality time with family. Accomodation setup very nice, with clean and spacious rooms.
Review 6:The rooms although classified as deluxe are bare. The fridge is thrown in a corner of the room and there are no rugs on the floor. The private terrace is spacious but you have to be cordial to your neighbours and no privacy at all since terraces only separated from each other by wrought iron. Breakfast on first and second day was meagre but it slightly improved on the following days. If you plan a day out and then dining at the place be prepared for a very basic menu with no dessert except peaches (one peach on a plate) and melon and coffee on request. The dining area is so empty that you feel isolated if a few patrons at table. Regrettably although the place is equipped with a BBQ and stone oven with a marvellous view of Francavilla's greenery there was no offer of a BBQ'd meal or pizza to be enjoyed on the terrace. Breakfast is served in a small room at the lower ground floor with only one window for fresh air which makes it stuffy and crowded.
Review 7:The location was excellent although hard to reach but only for first time. The view and the peaceful environment also the best. The cleanliness was acceptable and the bathrooms are brand new which for us is quite important. The owner quite friendly and welcoming
Review 8:Would have liked comfortable chairs in the otherwise lovely large room.
Review 9:Friendly host with helpful hints vis-à-vis restaurant's.
Review 10:Beautiful setting. Very helpful staff and nice facilities. Amazing food at a very good price.
Review 11:Maurizio was a gracious host And his food and wine were fabulous
Review 12:- access road (the dry river bed)
Review 13:- swimming pool (even in the night) - near to Etna
Review 14:We have absolutely enjoyed Mauritio's hospitality and kindness as well as his daily pieces of 'advice' in order to get to know e.g. Francavilla, Taormina, Catania, Novara or the land(scape) in general. This place is definitely a gorgeous and quiet place to relax and to enjoy 'original', fresh and homemade food. There are many activities (hiking, trips to Taormina, Aetna, swimming etc.) to start with from Le Oreadi and we were welcomed warmly every day by the host himself. Le Oreadi has a fantastic pool, nice terraces, wonderful and absolutely clean rooms with TV and air conditioning (the rooms are even available with individual front porches / terraces). The rooms were cleaned every day and Mauritio asked his cook to prepare whatever we had decided to have for dinner. The food was from his own production (mainly all the kinds of vegetable), the wine, too, the vinegar and e.g. fruits as well as the tasty marmelade which we got for breakfast. Breakfast was definitely and absolutely fine and OK! The dining room itself was clean, fresh, with huge windows allowing a vast look into the beautiful nature close to the Aetna. The hotel's neighbourhood, which is surrounded by typical Sicilian rolling hills and orange as well as olive trees, allows tranquility which usually may not be experienced that easily and plainly. We enjoyed everything about Le Oreadi (also its 'architecture' of various places to relax) and hope strongly that this place will stay as it is!!! For us there is nothing which can come up to it! Not even the big 'Saratoga' in Cuba/Havanna. So - all in all: 'Fantastic!' - Thank you! Ciao Mauritio! We will definitely come back next year! Doris and Joseph from Germany
Review 15:The welcoming, the building, the swimming-pool (big and very clean) the food (amazing: very different every night, cheap and so good and well prepared), the room and the terrasse (clean perfectly every day) the common big terrasse which gives an overall view on Francavilla, the calm and last but not least the people, the advice and kindness and the cooker the cleaner and Maurizio! What an amazing stay. We will come back for the place, the landscape and Maurizio!
Review 16:Maurizio is a fantastic host. His wife, Mariangela is an excellent chef. The food was excellent. Get ready to eat if you stay for dinner! The breakfasts were simple but delicious, especially the homemade jams and fresh orange juice. We were greeted with a huge smile and homemade wine and wonderful cheese. We felt very comfortable here. Our room was spacious and clean. We found it very easy to drive and see the area from this location. You definitely need a car.
Review 17:Access through unmade road across dry river bed. No one there on arrival. Bedroom lacked drawer/shelf space and hangers. Initial lack of hot water. Nothing to deaden sounds so everything echoed. Food adequate, although wine disgusting. Not sure if any staff were on-site during the night. No WiFi as advertised.
Review 18:Owner and staff did try to be helpful.
Review 19:Rough road leading to Hotel. More choice of TV Channels and No Wifi.
Review 20:Very nice clean room and a very nice pool area. Good value for money and we would surely recommend it. Very peaceful and quiet.
Review 21:No Wi-Fi and maybe more choice of tv channels
Review 22:Maurizio and Maria Angela together with their staff went out of their way to accommodate us , very nice clean room and a very nice pool Safe for children and the village people are very friendly Food home made and excellent with good value for money and we would surely recommend it
Review 23:Small patch of rough road leading to L'Oreadi.
Review 24:Welcoming hosts Excellent homemade food with home grown vegetables and dairy products Beautiful views
Review 25:The Communal road which leads to "Le Oreadi" should be lit up better.
Review 26:Hospitality of Maurizio - always ready to assist us and make us as welcome as can be. Whenever we asked for something, he always obliged immediately.
Review 27:The fresh and genuine breakfast, quiet surroundings and personal attention. Their own produced wine is excellent.
Review 28:- Great and affordable Dinner - Mountain-Panorama-Pool - Very clean & quiet
