Reviews for Tabù

Review 1:The only one foible of the hotel is a weak, outdated wifi connection, if you need it for everyday using as we need. Recommending to the owner to invest to the new technologies.

Review 2:Our second stay and again wonderful! Perfect location, very very nice sea, white sand and limpid water, very helpful staff, good kitchen, in my opinion not so expensive in comparison with the price of accomodation. Rich breakfast. Sometimes celebrities reachable on the beach - this year Antonio Conte, Italy football trainer :)

Review 3:The beach - I clearly have different concept in mind when I hear words "a private beach". First of all, you pay for it, even though you stay there. Second, be ready to see 300 people swarming around you, because in fact this is just a paid beach with a tiny B&B where you could stay. You have no priority on the beach at all, even reservation of an umbrella etc a day before (as hosts insist) guarantees you nothing - you'll be put somewhere into the middle of the huddle where a boy 3 feet away is urinating onto the sand while standing on a sunbed. We were completely shocked to see hundreds of people around (yes, we were unhappy to arrive on Sunday), it is hard to access the sea (incredibly beautiful), the bar etc. Guys on the beach reception don't speak English. WiFi is miserable - and that is understandable since even mobile Internet does not work with so many people around. Yes, as a guest of the hotel you have absolutely no priority in the WiFi compared to the "guests" of the beach. As as an equipped beach - maybe in the times with fewer people around, but as a hotel - never again, considering you're paying Eur200 for the night + Eur20-30 for the beach depending on the season.

Review 4:Close to sea. Clean rooms. Friendly personnel.

Review 5:Wi-Fi connection very low quality especially during the day when guests from the beach are also connected...either increase the Wi-Fi capabilities either ensure that hotel's Customers get a priority/exclusivity an that Wi-Fi channel

Review 6:Staff always smiling and ready to care about needs Beach wonderful

Review 7:We booked a sea view room but It was directly above the hotels communal cafe/bar so was very noisy and the smell of cigarette smoke was intense

Review 8:Location is perfect. A nice stroll into town for an evening meal and the beaches are beautiful

Review 9:Somewhat crowded beach even this was in June, but its a beach resort. Still lovely.

Review 10:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and that includes breakfast, snack bar for lunch if you wished and also dinner. Beach was literally a stones throw away.

Review 11:Too expensive sunbeds and umbrella, very noisy locals (lucky us being out of the season), poor wi-fi.

Review 12:Location - right on the beach, the view, room - which was cleaned every day, well - balanced breakfast, parking place right beside the hotel.

Review 13:Great location right on the beach, only a few others people using it at the start of October but still really hot & warm sea. Staff were really helpful & kind from start to finish, a special mention for Barbara & all her help as we spoke so little Italian. The night porter was really helpful too, we had good fun with him as he didn't speak any English & we didn't speak any Italian. Although the restaurant wasn't open as it was the end of the season the staff recommended for us.

Review 14:Loved it all!

Review 15:The location was superb and the bedrooms really well appointed. Barbara at reception was terrific, so helpful and vigilant. We loved the early morning swim and the quiet beautiful beach. Breakfast was great, and the little bar lovely during the day. Close to Porto Cesareo for dinner. Go mid week for a quiet stay as the weekends are very busy!

Review 16:That we had to go home!

Review 17:Great location, next to a beautiful sandy beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room spacious and very clean . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were there in October, so practically had the beach to ourselves.

Review 18:Our sea view room was really a "side sea view" room. Big balcony, but overlooking a work area. Noises in hallway seem loud (doors closing, etc) and could wake light sleepers. No shower to rinse off at the beach.

Review 19:Lovely beach, beautiful water. Helpful and kind staff, modern and clean. You can't walk to much, but if you're there for the beach, who cares? :-)

Review 20:The stuff was receiving us very warm and friendly. The ocean is some steps away and the rooms are modern and clean. All the members of the stuff were taking care of us. The food is incredibly delicious and we even got a fruit basket and water when we drove home.

Review 21:We could live with softer beds.

Review 22:Everyone working at the hotel where very serviceminded and extremly friendly. The closness to the beach where a huge plus. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic.

Review 23:Only the lost of information regarding the two extra beds in our double room. It should have been written somewhere that the single beds were a bunk bed.

Review 24:We loved the friendly very familiar way of taking care of us. The staff with a smile on their face...always. The way the solve a problem when we arrived and noticed that the beds in the room were to small for our two boys. That was fantastic. We will come back :-)

Review 25:Impossible to sleep past 8, as sound travels through walls and door. Hawkers on beach are annoying and would have been nice to be closer to town.

Review 26:We thought the staff did go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The beach is right there and umbrella + 2 deck chairs can be rented for a reduced €20 per day. Food served at restaurant was good and had some lovely well priced wine. Seems a fantastic place for people with children as sea very calm and shallow.

Review 27:No on site restaurant in the evening

Review 28:The friendliness of the staff, lovely lunches and its beautiful beach.

Review 29:Difficult to find due to lack of signs.

Review 30:Nice hotel and breakfast. Excellent beach location.

Review 31:Hard to find, need sign off main road

Review 32:Gluten free breakfast , great staff , modern and clean

Review 33:Great location, private beach, very helpful and nice staff. Would totally recommend!

Review 34:Location, beautiful white beach, tasty food and helpful staff!

Review 35:very friendly staff, perfect location very close to a perfect sandy beach with wonderful sea

Review 36:Hotel is on nice beach, centre of city about 2,5km away.

Review 37:The staff at the hotel were very helpful and knowledgeable and they recomended us a few places to visit which were amazing! Also breakfast was great with a large choice of fresh delicious fruits and tasty pastries as well as eggs, bacon, sausages, cakes and fresh buffalo mozzarella. Lunch us also great with fresh salads, local pasta dishes and great atmosphere. Also the room are very spacious and equipped with all modern facilities, the bathroom has the most axing powerful shower, great after a day on the beach attached to the hotel. We would recommend this hotel and we will Definately like to come back.

Review 38:Nothing We were there in June. Must be very crowded in August

Review 39:Unique location Excellent service Superb beach (additional costs - free beach at 2 minutes walking) Good food at the restaurant (not fancy) Private parking next to the hotel

Review 40:The nearest restaurants, shops, etc are in the town which is a 40 min walk away on pavements that are rather treacherous in places. Would have been nice to have a mini market nearer. Hawkers on the beach who can be rather annoying.

Review 41:I loved this family run hotel right on the beach. The room (only 12 in the hotel) I had was spacious with an equally spacious balcony and I could not fault the cleanliness Since they have mainly Italian guests only one young girls spoke a fair English but they still went out of their way to accommodate and were so friendly. Their breakfast is delicious with a wide range of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, juices and endless coffees and teas. The beach is spotless with chairs and umbrellas for hire (2 chairs + umbrella 15 euro per day) Their bar/restaurant services the beach and their food is freshly prepared and delicious. You can eat at the outside tables, take onto the beach or have a sit down serviced meal where they serve breakfast. The bar is open till 8 but food stops at about 5. The town is a taxi ride away with lovely restaurants, shops, etc and is rather charming. They offered to take us into town and wait for us or return to collect us. A definite must for a return visit but not during their high season. Was there at the end of May over a weekend and the beach was pretty busy so should imagine it would be packed 'in season'.

Review 42:Me and my daughter of 8 years old spent 3 days in Tabu. The hotel is fantastic, we had room nr 2 with a fantastic view over the beautiful sea. Thank you for these days and hope to be back next year. Stessa spiaggia e stesso mare e stessa stanza.

Review 43:I did not receive a warm welcome upon arrival or departure. I also felt the managers were bothered by my children.

Review 44:I love the simple yet comfortable and up-dated design of the room. Really nice compared to other hotels on the same coast. The view was great. The mini-bar was not expensive. There was Sky TV and wifi. The location on the beach is amazing. The breakfast was plenty and really nice.

Review 45:Hard to find...GPS Couldn't find location.

Review 46:Nice breakfast, good location by beach.

Review 47:The staff, the room, the food, the beach, the weather, the people. Everything!

Review 48:The location, friendliness of the staff, good attitude from the manager of the hotel, its own private beach.
