Reviews for Hotel Garnì Savoy
Review 1:There is charm to the hotel with a caring family running the business. We enjoyed a brand-new stylish bedroom, while the breakfast and recreational facilites (pool and sauna) are a bit worn-down. Nevertheless, everything is clean and kept very orderly.
Review 2:The breakfast is not rich as you might expect from a mountain resort. The wifi is not so fast.
Review 3:The staff is nice and love the dogs... animal friendly hotel! Very good position in a beautiful town. Free parking and free wifi internet.
Review 4:We were disappointed that they only had pastries on Sunday, when we were not there. Not a lot of variety at breakfast, and they kept running out of things when there were only 6 couples staying at the time!
Review 5:I think this is cleanest place we have ever stayed anywhere in the world! We had the comfort room which is spacious. Easy walk to city center.
Review 6:Friendly helpful staff directed us to great restaurants and points of interest. Great view from balcony of the Dolomites and local barn with chickens
Review 7:The pool was small and dark, but we didn't go to Castelrotto to swim so it didn't matter.
Review 8:Nice views from balcony. Delicious hearty breakfast with fresh fruit and berries.
Review 9:We were there end of May, which seems to be off season. Guests were scarce and the halls contained room furniture like they were doing some room renovations. Breakfast was a bit minimal.
Review 10:Spacious room with a nice balcony and large flat screen TV. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower. Location was good as long as you had a car, as we did, to tour the many miles of alpine villages an hiking locations. Great hiking in Castlerotto and nearby Alpe di Siusi. Good value. Staff was friendly and anxious to please.
Review 11:We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Garni. The hosts were very accommodating wanting to make sure everything was good. The breakfast was good and more in keeping with a German/Swiss/Austrian breakfast than what one finds further south in Italy. The Dolomites are a great place to visit and Castelrotto is an excellent jumping off spot to see them.
Review 12:Very comfortable, home-style and quiet location, it is comfortable for travellers on car due to there are no ski-lifts in town. The best value for money for this region I think. You can find good restaurant and supermarket with local specialities in 2-3 min walk distance. Owners and staff can not speak English, but it is also a value - you can practice your German or Italian))
Review 13:Nothing negative to say - the owners were very gracious and helpful.
Review 14:Wonderful, family run hotel in Castelrotto. This hotel had the best Wi-Fi that we found in all of our travels. The breakfast was good and the parking was free and convenient. Rooms are large and exceptionally clean. Easy access to hiking with the Marinzen lift nearby.
Review 15:centrally located for everything. They have a relationship with restaurant Toni that is terrific. The staff got the plentiful breakfast ready for us a half hour in advance so we could catch our bus to Bolzano
Review 16:Odd arrangements for opening and locking main door late at night.
Review 17:Just a few minutes walk from centre of Kastelruth. Good breakfast, good facilities in hotel, including indoor pool, helpful staff.
Review 18:Good location. Here with 4 kids, wife, and my father. Staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast every morning. Spent 3 nights here to hike the Dolomites. We all enjoyed our stay.
Review 19:On main street, a short walk from the train station. View of Matterhorn out our window. Excellent breakfast.

Review 34:The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic. Great location! Beautiful town.
Review 35:When we walked in the door late (9:30 pm) the owner was there to greet us, knew who we were, showed us our room, and sent us off for a late dinner. The room was large, well furnished with a great bathroom. We stayed four nights. The breakfast was outstanding on Sunday morning, and adequate the rest of the mornings. There was adequate parking, and the hotel owner went out of her way to help us as needed. There was no lift, so we left the large bag in the car and had no problem getting the other small bag up to the room. German is the primary language in Castelrotto, with Italian second. Only the owner spoke English, but she was available as needed. This is another small family run hotel that we would return to. The Dolomites were amazing, and the location was perfect.
Review 36:Staff speaks mostly German or Italian.
Review 37:A clean and cozy place to stay in where nice, helpful and hospitable staff takes care of you. Great sauna and pool. Hosts have a cool, friendly and smart dog named Sisi - not barking, biting or annoying ever :) Location is pretty good - bus stop which takes you to ski lifts is at a distance of ~7 min walk.
Review 38:The manager kept her dog unleashed in the lobby. On two occasions, thedog barking furiously aggressively charged us. The hotel's signagewas hard to spot. The building and the path leading to it were not litup at night. Breakfast was ok on the first morning, but left-overs onthe second.
Review 39:The woman who cleaned the rooms was a wonderfully kind person. She alsospoke English, which was helpful because the manager's English wasembedded in a mix of German and Italian. The room's balcony affordeda nice view.
Review 40:The location of this hotel was super. It was walking distance to the center of town, restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a balcony, the bathroom was remodeled and the bed was comfortable
Review 41:The hotel, while clean and average, was very poor value for the roomrate. Their website was very deceiving and we were highly disappointedwhen we arrived.
Review 42:The breakfast was very good--bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, cerealsand coffee or tea.
Review 43:This was a great place for our family to stay. We enjoyed a week there and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Review 44:There wasn't any lift
Review 45:Staff was really friendly, made our stay really pleasant and recommended a good restaurant with the best pizza I've ever tasted! Rooms were also really comfortable, close to supermarket and chairlift
Review 46:Very little English spoken. Difficult to facilitate check in andinformation about services/ area.Common areas are very dated, not so clean and carry an odor. Bedding is limited.
Review 47:Nothing. We definitely would return here.
Review 48:Great location, large, clean room with a balcony and a view through thetrees of the mountains. Breakfast was wonderful....fresh fruit, meatcheese, yoghurt, granola, etc. The owners were helpful, giving us maps, etc., and even though their English was limited, we were able to haveany additional questions answered in fluent English at the TouristInformation. A great spot!
Review 49:the fact that I had to leave
Review 50:Great location-a short walk from the main square and just off the road going to the Dolomites and Alpes de Suisi. Beautiful view from the window. The hostesses (and of course their friendly dog) were wonderful and trying to please in every way possible. I felt like I was a part of their family. And what a breakfast-plentiful, generous, so fresh; delicious breads, country yoghurt, fruits, cheeses, home made jams, great coffee..
Review 51:The hotel is located in such a way that is comfortable to ride in different ski areas. By car to get to the lifts 3-10 min. Stunning views of the Sassolungo. Very cute, cozy and tastefully furnished otel.Nomer warm, large bathroom. Hearty breakfast: sausages, cheeses, a variety of beverages, the original fruit salat.Horoshaya sauna and warm basseyn.Hozyayka Anita is always ready to help with any problem. Thank her. Review 56:Very cleanliness, comfortably rooms with balcony. Friendly stuff.
Review 57:No English was spoken
Review 58:Location in a charming little town with easy transportation to all the sites in Alto Adige.
Review 59:A poorly maintained and run hotel. Barely adequate, yet we were chargedas much as guests in much nicer hotels. We would not recommend.
